Chapter 124: Chapter 124 Chapter 124: Chapter 124 “Sir, it’s been three years; maybe we should just give up,” Gregory cautiously mentioned as he stood in front of Aiden, who was busy going through a report in his office at home.
Aiden was looking at the search team sent to him.
Just like it’s been three years, they couldn’t find her.
He was wondering where she could have run off with her boyfriend.
It wasn’t still tied.
He wanted her back or something; he just wanted to find her and force her to sign the divorce papers.
The fact that he was still tied to her made him angry, he didn’t want to have anything to do with a vicious devil.
He didn’t even want to physically find her; he couldn’t just find her location; he didn’t limit his search to just the country; he extended out to several other countries, but still, they couldn’t find her.
He just wanted to send her the divorce papers to sign wherever she was; he didn’t care if she was dead or not; what he wanted was his freedom from her.
As it stands, he was still her husband on papers; that was what he was fighting not to be; he hated her; she broke him, broke his trust, his heart.
He slowly looked up at Gregory in front of his table, his face cold and angry.
“Get out,” Was his simple order.
Gregory sighed and took a few steps back but didn’t leave the office.
His boss was never one to speak much but after Ariel’s incident, he’d almost gone dumb.
He never spoke to anyone, and even if he was going to, it would be with minimalist words, and they’d be very cold and detached, just like him.
He’d become worse than he was before when he found Ariel; even his grandmother wasn’t allowed to his house or anywhere close to him.
In a nutshell, he’d become a devil.
One time, he had pushed a female celebrity who was trying to make advances at him, warning her coldly never to try it again.
He didn’t even care when it was on the news for a few months, and he didn’t bother to ask him to take it down.
He wanted everyone to see the new him, and hopefully, the news would also find Ariel wherever she was so she would see the monster she had created.
Gregory quietly sighed.
He was sent by Anna to come and ask Aiden to eat and rest, but he knew his boss listened to no one, but he was going to try.
He was worried for his boss.
All his boss knew for years now was work, work, and work.
He’d work until he dropped.
Gregory couldn’t recall how many times he had to call Carla over to treat Aiden and advise him to eat, rest, and take better care of himself.
He didn’t want those incidents anymore, the last one had made Carla admit Aiden to the hospital because he was so dehydrated and starved.
Carla had to come over and stay for a week, using her influence as a doctor to force him to eat, drink more water, and sleep.
Gregory moved closer to the table and placed his hands behind his back, quietly clearing his throat.
“Boss, Ms.

Anna asked-” “Gregory,” Aiden’s voice was foreboding, his eyes icy and dangerous.
Gregory anxiously shifted his weight from one foot to the other; he knew he was crossing the line again.
“Yes, boss,” He answered quietly.
“I asked you to leave, want to lose your job?” Aiden questioned.
Gregory shook his head, “No, boss, sir, I just want to make sure-” “Get out!” Aiden stood from his chair, glaring at Gregory.
Gregory immediately retreated a few steps back, he bowed his head and apologized, “I’m sorry, Mr.
Chaz, I’ll go,” He turned and walked toward the door.
Aiden stood, fuming as he stared at Gregory.
He didn’t want anyone coming close to him, he needed to be left alone, completely alone, just like the people he loved always left.
He hated everyone now, and he didn’t give a fuck what anyone cared.
He was once again alone in his office and he slumped down on the chair, burying his face in his hands.
He released a very long and heavy sigh before he returned to his computer to keep working.
The only thing that wouldn’t leave you was money, and that’s why he doubled his efforts.
He never wanted to ask his family for anything, in the past years, he had somehow managed to dissociate most of his businesses from his family.
He now stood alone, and every of his company was solely his, no hereditary shit and stuff.
And money was what those creatures wanted: women.
He wanted to have what attracted them just to show them that he had it yet wouldn’t give it to them, they didn’t deserve a dime, they were all supposed to be packed in a club where members came to have their turn with them, that way, it would be clear that they weren’t out for love instead of walking around the earth and deceiving innocent men that they loved them, and in the end, they’d end up showing their true colors.
He was lost in thought and didn’t hear his door opening again, he only blinked and stared up from the screen when he noticed someone sitting in front of his desk.
“Hi, you look happy,” Ken teased.
Aiden scoffed and returned his eyes to the screen.
“You could have called, texted, emailed, there are a lot of options, Ken, anything but your presence,” His brow was raised in disapproval.
Ken sighed, “Aiden, I’ve sent several of all those things you mentioned but you didn’t reply or answer any of them.” Ken reminded.
Aiden shrugged, “Then you wait,” Ken shook his head, “Aiden, I understand you’re still hurting from-” “I’m not fucking hurting, Ken!
You know it!” Aiden flared.
Ken didn’t flinch, he had gotten used to this explosive Aiden over the years, and he’d learned how to deal with him.
It just required you to be calm and quiet whenever he got that way, if not, it’d get worse.
Aiden saw that Ken wasn’t saying anything and muttered a quiet curse.
“What do you want, Kenneth?” Aiden asked.
Ken paused for a second.
The full name-calling reminded him of someone, someone he’d tried to reach out to but never could.
He was worried about her.
Was she okay?
Was she in the country?
Did she leave?
Jess hadn’t contacted anyone ever since that night when she discovered that Ariel had gone missing.
He also believed Jess was right about Moon’s pretense that Moon was faking the pregnancy, but after seeing the DNA result, he was left speechless.
Up to date, he still couldn’t wrap his head around how that happened between Aiden and Moon.
“If you have nothing to say, leave,” Aiden said, irritated by Ken’s silence.
Ken cleared his throat and sat up on the chair.
“It’s Viktor, he called from Maimi,” Ken informed.
“And?” Aiden asked.
“He got in contact with the manager of the new rival company; he tried making a deal with them to partner with us since it was obvious they were climbing the ladder very fast and would soon surpass.
Instead of fighting a lost battle, we’d rather embrace them and become their partner; that way, we don’t have to waste resources in fighting back, and we also get to have the best Tech company on our side,” Ken narrated.
Aiden was quiet for a while before he spoke.
“My name is still anonymous, right?” He questioned.
Ken nodded.
“Yes,” Aiden had changed the name of his company from “Chaz’s Tech” company to just “New Tech,” and he had worn anonymous.
That way, rivals won’t know who they’re going against.
And even his partners didn’t know who he was.
He let Ken be the face of the company as his manager, he only came in when it was necessary.
Like the current case, he needed to meet with the owner of that tech company owner because it seemed that he, too, was also anonymous like Aiden.
Aiden was interested in seeing the man who was smart enough to measure it to him.
This might just be the only thing that had interested him in the past three years.
“You know how it is; you send them an irresistible offer and fix a date.
I’ll be there on the day of the meeting,” Aoden stated and went back to his work.
Ken knew there was nothing else to discuss, and Aiden’s tone was dismissive.
“I’ll send out the request,” Ken replied and stood from the chair, he stared at his friend for a few seconds before he left the office.
Aiden stared at the door as Ken left, he immediately typed something into his computer but got the same reply.
Ever since the rival company emerged, he’d tried to search for the owner, but he always came up with an empty result, just like when he tried to search for Ariel.
Both the company’s owner and Ariel left him frustrated.
But he was soon going to get one of them out of the way; he was going to meet the owner of the tech company, and soon, he’d find Ariel and make her sign the damned divorce papers.
