Chapter 132: Chapter 132 Chapter 132: Chapter 132 Ariel woke up that morning with purpose.
As she dressed her son in a cute blue suit, she told him he had to behave because they were going to a very important meeting.
“Don’t worry, Mom, I won’t run around, I’ll be a good boy and make you proud,” Jace promised as Ariel fixed his little tie around his neck.
Ariel smiled and kissed his cheek, “I know you will, Pumpkin,” She stood from her squatting position in front of him and dressed his combed hair again with her fingers, then held his hand.
“Let’s go, baby, Logan is waiting in the car,” She held Jace’s hand and led him out of his room.
When they reached downstairs, she picked up the black handbag that she had placed on the sofa which matched her white two-piece suit and white low-heels.
Her hair was packed in a high ponytail, for easy movement throughout the day.
She knew she was going for business, and she didn’t want anything to make her uncomfortable, such as flipping around free-falling hair all day long.
She opened the door and was surprised to see Logan standing in front of the door.
“Good morning, princess, good morning buddy, sleep well?” Logan asked as he picked Jace up in his arms.
Ariel didn’t expect Logan to come up and meet them, they were already going to him.
“Yeah, I cuddled Mummy all night,” Jace replied with a smile.
Ariel smiled as she closed her door.
“Ahh, she’s hives good cuddles right?” Logan asked, his eyes glancing at Ariel with a secret smile.
Jace nodded, “Yes, she’s the best!” He announced.
“I don’t doubt that, Buddy,” Logan chuckled.
Ariel shook her head at them and started walking toward the elevator.
Logan followed her behind, admiring the way she looked that morning, she looked like the boss she was, and he was proud of her.
The elevator ride was filled with Jace telling Logan what cool toys he saw in his room and asking him to come play with him when he had the chance.
“Sure, I’d love to come over and play with you, if mummy doesn’t mind,” He said and turned to Ariel.
Ariel sighed in relief when the elevator opened, “Well be late if we don’t hurry,” She said and walked out of the elevator.
Logan smiled and followed her still.
Ariel knew she had to avoid openly inviting Loagn to her space; she was still trying to navigate her feelings for him, and letting him get too close might just cloud her judgment and lead her to make the same mistakes she’d made in the past.
“Please,” Logan opened the door to the back seat as they reached the car which was parked in front of the apartment.
Ariel shook her head and entered the car.
“You don’t have to be all chivalry, Logan,” Ariel said, strap ping her seat belt.
“I know, but I want to, and it makes us look believable,” He winked at her and walked over to the other side of the car to place Ken beside his mother.
Ariel used the few minutes of driving to go over the contract she was about to sign with them.
She noticed that there was a statement that said that both parties A and part B would have limitless access to each other’s company and resources.
Well, that was the reason for the meeting; some revisions would be made before she would sign anything.

She wasn’t about to give someone free access to the company she put her blood and sweat into the building.
If the other party doesn’t agree to the change, then they could go fuck themselves; she doesn’t care one bit.
“And we’re here, ma’am,” Logan announced from the front seat.
Ariel looked out of the window and saw a silver skyscraper, people were walking and driving into the compound, probably employees or business partners.
“Thank you, Logan, you don’t have to walk me in, Gideon should be here already,” She said as she opened the door.
Logan clenched his fingers around the steering wheel.
He wanted to go in with her, but if she didn’t want him in there, he’d stay behind; he wouldn’t want to make her uncomfortable.
“I got you.
I’ll just hang around and wait for you, cool?” He asked, turning to look at her.
Ariel nodded, “You’re the best, Logan, bye,” She waved at him as she opened the car and got out, leaning in to help Jace down.
“Bye, Logan,” Jace waved to Logan before Ariel shut the door.
“Come on, baby, let’s go,” Ariel held his hand and faced the tall building.
Jace followed his mother and walked through a huge gate; he saw a lot of cars parked in the compound and wondered why there were so many of them.
“Mummy?” Jace called as they climbed the stairs to get to the entrance.
“Yes?” She replied, making sure she walked slowly to allow him to meet up with his small legs.
“Are we here to buy cars?” He questioned curiously.
Ariel laughed softly, “No, honey, we’re here to set up a business partner, and they don’t sell cars here, these cars belong to the employees, do you understand?” She asked gently, the door hiding open by itself as they reached the entrance.
“Yes, Mummy, I understand,” Jace answered, and once again, he started looking around the smooth interior of the reception hall; he liked it.
“This place is so cool, Mummy, can we buy it?” He questioned.
Ariel sighed, was this what she was going to face today?
Answering ridiculous questions from her toddler?
“No, baby, we can’t buy it.
Trust me, I’ll take you to Mummy’s company; it’s even better over there,” she promised.
“Really?” Jace smiled up at her in excitement.
“Really, really,” She replied and went towards the reception counter.
“Good morning, Ma’am, do you have an appointment,” the receptionist asked.
Ariel smiled politely, “Good morning, Sun,” She read her name out of her tag, “I believe I do, it was booked by Gideon Reeds,” She informed.
Sun nodded, “Alright, ma’am, just give me a second to confirm,” She immediately looked down at her computer to look up Ariel’s appointment.
“Oh, yes, sorry for the delay; please use the elevator to get to floor number fifty, have a nice day, ma’am,” Sun smiled at Ariel.
“Thank you,” Areim replied and walked away with her son.
Ariel could feel the stare of the receptionist and a few employees as she walked her son to the elevator, but she didn’t care.
She didn’t even want to know if it was a scornful look or an admiring look; she was done caring about what people thought of her.
Whatever they thought was their business, she won’t concern herself with people’s thoughts anymore.
She reached the elevator and pressed in the floor number and soon, she was there.
“Mummy?” Jace called, and they walked out of the elevator.
“Yes, honey?” Ariel was looking around the quiet hallway, wondering which room she should enter; she thought Gudeon was supposed to be here confident of her; what was he doing?
“This place is so quiet, I think they’re ghosts here,” Jace whispered.
Ariel couldn’t help chuckling, “Ghosts don’t exist, sweetheart, it’s just-” “Boss!” “Argh!” Ariel exclaimed.
“You see, Mummy, I told you,” Jace was smiling as he looked at his shocked mother.
Ariel snapped her head to the culprit and glared at him.
“Gideon Reeds!” She called through clenched teeth.
Gideon chuckled, walking back with his hands in the air.
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry, I was too excited to see you after two ongoing years.
No need to chop off my head,” He smiled and cautiously walked over to her and hugged her tightly.
“I’ve missed you, but it’s okay; I know you never miss me,” He quickly detangled himself from her and turned to Jace, squatting in front of him.
“Hi, I’m Gideon; I was there when your Mummy shot you out from the womb.
Cool, right?” He offered the little boy a handshake, smiling widely.
Jace looked up at his mother and drew close to her, “Is it true, Mummy, is he your friend?
Like Logan?” He asked quietly.
Ariel smiled, “He is; he’s just a little weird, but he is a friend,” She patted her son’s head.
“Nice to meet you, Gideon; I’m Jace Dew,” He introduced himself.
“Aww, so cute,” Fideon hugged him and ended up carrying him in his arms.
“It’s you and I today okay?
I’ll make you see I’m not weird as your Mummy said,” He whispered to the boy who giggled in return.
Ariel looked around and remembered why she was there, “Where is the meeting held, Gideon?
It’s almost time,” she questioned seriously.
“Ah, right, about that, please don’t be mad, it’s right behind you, but…” He paused.
Ariel looked behind her to find a black double door that was closed.
“But what?” She raised a brow.
“The manager of the ‘New Tech’ said he’d be a little late since his boss had some urgent matter to attend to,” Gideon said with a nervous voice.
Ariel scoffed, “And they think it’s okay to keep us waiting?” She asked, a frown marking her face.
Gideon sighed, “Please, we can just go in and wait for them; they be here in less than an hour,” He was already walking over to the door to push it open.
Ariel shook her head and walked into the room; what was the use of being angry?
She had come all the way from Greece to California, and waiting an hour wasn’t going to stop her from doing what she came to do.
“Fifty-nine minutes is still less than an hour, you know?” She asked in a mocking voice as she lowered on one of the chairs surrounding the long black table.
Gideon laughed nervously, “Oh, no, no, they’d be here soon, I promise,” He assured.
