Chapter 134: Chapter 134 Chapter 134: Chapter 134 Ariel’s heart stopped beating for a second when she heard his question and saw his face very close to hers.
She leaned further away from him, plastering her back on the chair.
“Mr.
Chaz, I don’t think I understand what you’re talking about,” She cleared her throat nervously and looked at him.
Aiden gritted his teeth and closed his eyes to reign down his anger.
She had the mind to pretend like she didn’t know what he was talking about.
He slowly nodded and moved his face close to hers again, “Why, Ariel, why did you do it?” He asked, his voice repressed by pain.
Ariel bit her lips and locked her eyes on his; she wanted to ask him the same question.
Why did he do that with Moon?
He didn’t even try to look for her or find out the truth, he just moved on, and he thinks he could come here and play the victim card.
“If this is not about business, I suggest you step back and let me leave, Mr.
Chaz, this position is quite compromising,” She stared at him with a straight face.
Aiden chuckled bitterly.
“Tell me, Ms.
Dew, this Sloan you go by, is he your next victim, he helped you se5 up this company-fuck!” Aiden reeled back from the heavy slap Ariel landed on his cheek, and at the same moment, the door opened and Moon stepped in with Candy, witnessing the scene.
“Daddy?” Candy’s worried quiet voice rang behind him.
Moon stood frozen at the door as if she had seen a ghost; she stared at Ariel and her bottom lips started to tremble.
She felt like she was hallucinating; this wasn’t supposed to be the case.
Ariel was dead, three years ago, they showed her the picture, why was she here?
Had she said anything to Aiden?
Was this where her story ended?
Ariel stood and faced the shocked Aiden; she, too, had been shocked by the little girl calling Aiden her father, but she came over it immediately after all, he had slept with Moon, so it was only natural they had a child now.
“It was nice doing business with you, Mr.
Chaz, feel free to schedule another meeting if there are things you want to address…about the business.
I’ll leave you to attend to your family.
Next time, it’ll.be more just a slap,” She whispered the last part beside him and walked over to the door.
Moon slowly stepped aside, “Ariel-” “Save it, bitch,” She gave her a death glare that made her instantly shut her mouth.
Ariel walked out of the room and sighed.
Not in her wildest dreams did she think her first day back here would turn out this way.
But it is what it is.

Aiden has another child with his sister, which is good for him and more reason to keep Jace away from him.
They deserve each other, too stupid people.
She reached the reception and heard Jace’s laughter at a corner, she followed the sound and saw him sitting on Ken’s lap while holding an ice cream and laughing at something Gideon was doing.
She smiled at the view; Ken was still as charming as before; too bad she couldn’t be friendly with him as she was in the past; anything that was connected to Aiden would be avoided by her unless it was business-related.
“You guys are having a good time, I see,” Ariel said as she walked over to them.
Jace saw his mother and got super excited, “Mummy, they promised to take me to a farm, like an old McDonald’s farm; we’re going to see animals,” Jace, annoyed, ran over to her.
Ariel lowered herself to his level and wiped the cream away from his nose, “Woah, calm down, buddy, who’s taking you where?” She asked with a raised brow.
Jace took a lick on his ice cream and pointed at Ken, “Him, he said he knew a very big farm, and he said I can ride horses, can I go, Mummy?” Jace asked, tugging her sleeve with his little fingers.
“Baby, you really want to go?” She asked with a sigh.
Jace nodded vigorously, “Yes, yes, Mummy, you can come with me, too, I’ll never leave my Mummy behind,” He hugged her.
“Aww, alright baby, we’ll go but not today, okay?” She asked, smiling.
Jace shrugged and nodded; he wasn’t angry; he knew his mother always kept to her words.
Ken was all smiles as he stared at the mother and son duo.
He saw Aiden standing in front of the elevator, his eyes were also watching Ariel and her son like a hawk.
He beware their discussion at the office was nothing related to work, and he also knew that it hadn’t gone well, given that Ariel was out quickly and Moon had also shown up.
He wished Aiden and Ariel would go back to how they were before.
He even felt guilty about meddling in their relationship at some point, but that was long ago.
It was time he let himself heal, and he wished they could heal, too.
Ken had a lot of questions to ask Ariel, but he couldn’t; he didn’t want to be the one bringing back the bad past for her, but he was sure there were a lot of things to reveal to her.
How did she get missing?
Where had she been?
Was she hurt?
Who had the child?
Was it Aiden’s?
Or had she net someone else?
“Mummy, look, it’s my handsome friend,” Jace suddenly pointed behind Ariel and slipped away from her hands, running to the person behind him.
“Yeah…the rest of us are the ugly ducklings,” Gideon muttered as he stared at Jace and Aiden.
Ken smiled; something told him that this was about to be the most interesting business collaboration of all time.
Ariel turned and saw her son running toward Aiden; she was about to call him back, but when he saw Auden lower himself in front of the boy, something melted in her heart; she held back her tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes.
Today was the first day her son was meeting his father; he’d been asking where his father was, yet when he met with him, he couldn’t identify him.
She was sure they both felt that bond, but they’d never know.
She wasn’t going to tell them.
She never wanted her son to feel like he would try to fit in.
Aiden already had a family; introducing Jace would seem like she was forcing him upon them, but no, she was well capable of raising her kid alone.
Especially with Moon beside Aiden as his wife, sister, baby mama, whatever she was, as long as she was still in the picture, then her son was better off not knowing who his father was.
She wasn’t going to lose her son due to sentiment.
“Hi, do you want to us?
We’re going to farm tomorrow Ken said it’ll be exciting, we’ll ride horses too, wanna come?” Jace asked Aiden, smiling up at him.
Aiden looked past the boy’s shoulder and found Ariel’s eyes, “I’d love to,” He replied, indirectly informing Ariel that he wasn’t done with her yet.
“Yaay!” He turned to run back to Ariel but he paused and turned back to Aiden, “Can I call you Aiden?
Ken said “Mr” makes it sound like we’re not friends,” Jace asked.
Aiden smiled and nodded, “Aiden is perfect, little man,” He patted Jace’s head before he returned to his mother.
“Gideon, please stay back and make sure that Mr.
Ken reads the contract; we can’t just agree blindly on business; that’s not a good mindset,” She said so that Aiden would her.
Ken stood and walked over to Ariel, “Can I call you Ariel?” He asked, testing the waters to see if she was still open for friendship.
“No.
Come on, baby,” Ariel nodded at Ken before she led Jace out of the building.
“Mr.
Ken, please do go through the revised contract.
It’s just a minor change, but it’s worth noting…” Aruel ignored the men discussing business and followed Ariel outside.
He had left Moon and Candy upstairs, warning her never to interfere with his business or he’d take Candy’s custody, and that’s why she hadn’t come out yet.
Well not only that, but she was still shaking from seeing Ariel; the fear and shock weren’t even letting her think straight.
How could she think straight when she had literally seen a ghost.
She saw the picture where Ariel was bleeding through her chest, her skin already pale as a ghost before she was thrown into the sea, how on earth did she survive?
Or was this some kind of sick joke where someone did surgery to look like her and just wanted to torment her?
She had someone in mind, and she was going to meet this fake Ariel and threaten her; if not, she’d end up just like the first real one.
Aiden stepped outside his building and froze; his fists automatically balled beside him as he saw Ariel letting an unfamiliar open the door for her son.
But that wasn’t his anger; he felt like tearing the man’s limb off when he saw him place his fucking lips on Ariel’s cheeks before she went into the damn car.
So was that the fucking Mr.
Sloan?
Was he the father to Jace?
Or was Jace a son to that man she had cheated on him with?
He would find all this out.
However, as the car drove away from his company, he asked himself why he hadn’t just asked her for a divorce straight up.
Why did he feel like they needed to have a discussion, she owed him nothing and he owed her nothing.
He must have been too shocked to reason properly, he never imagined he’d meet Ariel under such circumstances, but now that it’s happened, he would deal with it as he’d always planned.
Get her to sign the papers and be over with it.
He didn’t care how many men she’s slept with.
He could never have anything to do with her again.
Right?
