Chapter 158: Chapter 158 Chapter 158: Chapter 158 Aiden gritted his teeth the moment Logan walked toward Ariel and carried Jace from her.
“It’s nothing serious; Mr.
Chaz had just received a picture of someone mistaking me for your boyfriend,” Logan chuckled.
“Oh?
Who’s that, Aiden?” She asked.
Aiden sighed, “It’s Lin.
Moon must have told them; if Lin knows, it means that Grandma must know too,” he looked frustrated.
His plan of peacefully trying to woo Ariel back might just be as good as gone.
Now, he was sure that Grandma Nari wouldn’t let Ariel rest until she answered all her questions and she was satisfied with all her investigations.
Ariel scoffed, “Hi, Dad,” she waved at Mr.
Sloan.
“Don’t worry about that, Aiden; it’s good they know; I wasn’t planning on hiding for long anyway.
And Moon did come to visit me last night; maybe you should ask her about it.
I’m sure her visit to me was what convinced her to tell Grandma about me,” she chuckled.
Aiden stared at her in suspicion, “What happened, Ariel?” He questioned.
Ariel shrugged, “Don’t worry, I didn’t kill your wife-” “She’s not my wife!” Aiden stood from the sofa and held Ariel’s arm, turning her to fave him.
“Leave me?” Ariek raised a brow at him.
Aiden didn’t look phased; he leaned his face close to hers and said, “Make no mistake, Ariel, Moon is not my wife; you are.” His voice was whispery and low.
“Let her go, Aiden,” Mr.
Sloan sighed.
“Mind what you say in front of our son, Moma,” His words were commanding but his voice was pleading.
He gently released her hand and moved away from her.
“What did she say to you?” Mr.
Sloan asked Ariel.
Ariel shook her head, “Nothing new, just reminding how in love she was with…” She paused and pointed at Aiden, “And asking me to back off.
As if I was ever heading in,” She rolled her eyes.
“That girl is forcing me to do what I’ve always wanted to do,” Mr.
Sloan murmured but Ariel heard him.
She wondered what it was he’d always wanted to do to Moon.
She was all about supporting whoever hated Moon, in fact, she wanted to be an accomplice.

Aiden balled his fists; Moon never listened.
He was going to give her a restraining order never to get near Ariel or his son, he didn’t care how crazy she became each day if she ever dared to play her stupid mind games with them, he’d let her know that she meant nothing to him, the only things keeping her visible were Candy and Grandma Nari, if not for those two, Moon would have gone missing, never to be found.
He lived each day trying to find peace with himself because he had magically made a baby with the person he’d taken as his little sister for many years, yet the culprit didn’t give a shit about his mental health, she was bent on making her annoying and disturbing presence known to him, causing him pain each time he set his eyes on her.
“Aiden, are you listening?” Ariel tapped Aiden’s shoulder, he looked lost in his head.
Aiden blinked and looked at Ariel’s face.
“I’m sorry, Moma, I’ve got something to do, see you tonight,” He kissed her lips and went over to Logan.
“Now, be a good shepherd you’ve always been, if anything happens to my family…” He paused and kissed Jace’s temple, “See you later, little man, play with Uncle Logan, okay?
Never let him play with Mummy, adults don’t play with adults,” Aiden whispered to Jace, causing Logan to roll his eyes.
“Yes, Dad, we’ll be waiting for you,” Jace waved at Aiden as he walked to the door and left the house.
“Where’s he off to?” Ariel turned to Mr.
Sloan in questioning.
Mr.
Sloan shook his head, “He’s spontaneous; I’m sure he’s going to cause a little trouble, but it’s nothing to worry about, at least, for now,” He chuckled and looked over at Jace.
“Jace, come over here, let’s go build some blocks,” He stood from his position and stretched his hand out for Jace.
Jace excitedly wriggled down Logan’s body and ran to his Grandpa who took him up to his room.
“Be good, Logan,” Mr.
Sloan warned as he walked up the stairs.
Logan chuckled and looked at Ariel, “I’m always good Sir,” He smirked.
*** Auden drove his car into Grandma Nari’s compound for the first time in three years.
He quickly got out of the car and ignored the surprised looks and greetings he got from the maids.
Hevwaljrd right into her living room and found Moon sitting on the sofa, curled up like a cat and covered in a blanket.
“Still Leaching on the poor woman?
Haven’t you done enough, Moon?” Aiden’s voice boomed in the living room as he approached Moon.
Moon heard Aiden’s voice and was startled, but she immediately composed herself.
She slowly looked up at him as he came to stand in front of her.
“Hi, Honey, finally came to have a nice chat with your fiance?” She smiled up at him.
Aiden was irritated, “Answer me this, Moon, are you happy with yourself?” His eyes bore angrily into hers.
Moon nodded at him and tried to hold his hand, but he stepped away from her.
Moon sighed, “You know the answer, Aiden, I’m not happy, you know you’re my happiness, but you’re being selfish by keeping yourself away from me,” She straightened up on the sofa.
Aiden scoffed, “How long have you been here for?” He asked.
Moon smiled, thinking Aiden was concerned about her mood, everyone in the family knew that she always went to Grandma Nari’s place whenever she felt sad.
“Since morning, Aiden, and my mood wasn’t improving, not until you showed up, my love,” Moon’s voice was sweet and gentle.
“Maybe if you spent more time with your child, you’d feel true happiness for once, Moon,” Aiden scowled at her.
“Our child, Aiden, never forget that.” Moon reminded strongly, getting on her feet.
Aiden narrowed his eyes at her.
“Who told Lin about Ariel?” His face was menacing as he stared at her.
Moon shifted from one foot to the other.
“I asked a question, Moon,” Aiden walked toward her with slow angry steps.
Moom shifted back, she could sense the shift in Aiden’s mood.
“Well, you know it was me, why are you still asking?” Moon scoffed.
Aiden nodded, his hatred toward Moon reaching a new level.
“And what did you intend to gain?” He continued.
Moon shrugged, “I just wanted Grandma to stop being stuck on the Ariel she knew.
She ain’t seem to get over the fact that Ariel was lost, and she stroy still believed that Ariel was an angel…” She subtly moved to another corner of the living room, seeing that Aiden was getting close to her; no one here to save her if Aiden decided to shout at her; she knew he would never lay his hands on her; he loved her too much to do that to her.
“So, I just wanted to make her understand that, one, Ariel wasn’t lost, she purposely left you to go be with her boyfriend.
Two, she wasn’t an angel as she believed she was, she was living in this city with a rich man, leashing off of him with her bastard son,” Moon chuckled.
“I just wanted them to realize how good I was for you, in case Grandma would ever be delusional to still want her back beside you as your wife.
Hey!” Moon screamed when Aide suddenly appeared in front of her and grabbed her wrist tightly.
“Aiden, baby, you’re hurting-” “Shut the fuck up and listen to me, Moon,” Aiden commanded in a dangerous voice, his eyes glistening with anger and hatred.
“Ahh, ouch,” Moon gritted her teeth to remain quiet.
“If ever call my son a bastard, you’ll find yourself and your daughter in an unknown country, with nothing, no money, no, belonging, and most importantly, no name to you, then, we’ll see who the bastard will be, you and your daughter,” His hand around her wrist was getting tighter and more painfully.
“Aiden, please, let go; it hurts.
Candy is your child; don’t say that about her – Ouch!” Moon fell on the sofa behind her, rubbing her wrist gently as she stared up at Aiden, tears welling over her eyes.
“This is a warning, Moon, stay away from my family.
I don’t want someone as evil as you coming near them.
This is a fair warning, the last one I’ll give you as someone I once took as a family; if you overstep the boundary one last time, I’ll kill you myself, Moon,” He glared at her.
“You’d do no such thing, Aiden Chaz,” Grandma Nari walked out from her room and went over to Aiden.
She was surprised to see him in her home, but she wouldn’t let him speak to the mother of his child like that.
Aiden turned to look at Grandma Nari, his eyes softening for a mini-second before they hardened again.
Moon quickly ran over to Grandma Nari and held her arm, “Grandma, I was just trying to make Aiden understand that Ariel was a traitor, she cheated on him three years ago,” She informed quietly, hoping Aiden saw sense in what she said, she wanted him to believe that the child wasn’t his.
Her daughter can never seize to be the first heir to the Chaz family.
However, she forgot two things; one, there was such a thing as a DNA test.
Twk, she forgot that Aiden had never mentioned the case of Ariel cheating to anyone.
Aiden’s eyes narrowed suspiciously, “How did you know that Ariel cheated on me three years ago, Moon?” He questioned, his eyes boring threatening holes into her skin.
Moon gulped; she knew she had to think fast.
If not, this was going to be where everything ended for her.
