Chapter 160: Chapter 160 Chapter 160: Chapter 160 Aiden was driving to a club.
Yep…to a club.
And, hebjad even called Ariel to come join him.
After visiting his Grandma, he was heading home when he received a call from Jasper asking him to meet up at a club so they could discuss business.
He hated clubs, but if that was where his client felt comfortable discussing his business, then he had to go.
However, Aiden couldn’t shake off the feeling that someone was following him even when he didn’t see any familiar car behind him.
He dismissed it and drove on; he hoped Ariel arrived early so they could hurry and go home to their child; he might just take them to his home tonight…their home.
…
“You don’t have to drive me there, Logan.
I can get there myself,” Ariel said as she sat beside Logan in her moving car.
Logan smiled, “Don’t worry, Ariel.
I’m less busy anyway,” He replied.
“Alright,” She sighed and went quiet.
The reason she didn’t want Logan to drive her was because she didn’t want him to feel as if she was using him.
Now Logan knew that she and Aiden had something going on, it felt like she was some heartless jerk playing with his feelings.
She wanted to avoid bringing Logan anywhere with Aiden.
She felt pity for him and didn’t want him to think that she never took his feelings for him seriously.
Her phone vibrated, and she checked to see Aiden’s message.
“I’m waiting in front, Love,” She almost smiled a fool but remembered that Logan would know that she was texting Aiden, so she kept a straight face and replied.
Soon, their car pulled up in front of a Tyr club, she could see Aiden’s car parked on the side of the building with Gregory standing beside him.
Aiden had called him over with two other bodyguards, who were inside already.
He needed to make sure the place was safe for Ariel to enter.
“You go ahead, I’ll follow in a second,” Logan said as he unlocked the car.
Ariel nodded, “Okay, see you in there,” She waved at him and got out of the car.
“Bye,” Logan said softly, his eyes followed her as she walked over to her husband.
He sighed quietly, he knew there was no chance for him.
Aiden might be a jerk to him but he was sure he treated Ariel right.
The fact that they got married in the first place meant that they loved each other, and every relationship had its ups and downs, amidst it all, he knew they still loved each other; it was clear in their eyes.
All he would do was to stay by herself and help her out in the way he could, his hope was still up, but he wasn’t going to get stuck in his head that he would be with Ariel in the end.
Aiden saw Ariel walking toward him and met her halfway, “Sorry for the impromptu notice, Jasper just wants to see how we’re doing,” He placed a hand on her cheek, looking into her eyes.

“It’s alright, let’s go,” She said and turned to walk into the club but she was suddenly drawn into Aiden’s arms.
“Hey, what’s this?
Someone’s waiting for us,” Ariel looked around, seeing Gregory looking away from them as if he didn’t see them in front of him.
“I’ve missed you,” He stepped close to her and buried his face in her neck.
He needed to recharge after draining himself with Moon, he needed Ariel’s calming energy and scent to disperse the evil vibe he got from Moon.
“Quit being clingy, Aiden, it’s just been a few hours,” She replied, trying to push him away.
Aiden sighed, “I know.
It’s already too much; I want to be like this with you all the time,” He whispered beside her neck.
Ariel was quiet; she didn’t know where he’d been, and she’d still ask him about it, but wherever it was, it suddenly drained his energy, and he looked…sad.
“Let’s go,” She whispered, tapping his shoulder.
Aiden stepped away and nodded at her.
“Let’s go,” He held her hand and led her into the club.
“Boss,” Gregory called from behind them as they walked toward the bar, There weren’t many people in there as it was still early in the evening; it was relatably quiet for a club.
“What is it, Gregory?” Aiden asked.
“Mr.
Jasper is sitting that way?” He pointed to the left side of the club.
Ariel looked and saw Jasper sitting with business back to them, “That’s him,” She said.
Aiden nodded, and they walked over to Jasper, who was sitting alone in a booth.
“Good evening, Mr.
Jasper,” Ariel greeted as they reached the booth.
She tried to step away from Aiden, but his hand tightened around hers; he was done keeping his distance in front of people.
The pretense was over; he was ready to let everyone know that Ariel was his wife, especially men like Jasper, Logan, and any other person who thought they could steal his woman from him.
“Ah, good evening, Ariel, Aiden,” Japser stood and shook Aiden.
He went to give Ariel a friendly peck on the cheek, but Aiden stood in front of her, his emotionless stare at Jasper.
“Have a seat, Jasper, let’s hear why you called us out here,” Aiden said, his eyes a silent warning to Jasper.
Jasper frowned a little; he didn’t understand what was going on; why was he acting protective of Ariel when he wasn’t even speaking to him the first time he saw them?
He slowly backed away from them and retired to his seat, “Then, please, sit,” He said.
Aiden allowed Ariel to sit down and then he sat beside her.
Gregory was standing just a little beside them, his eyes shortly watching their environment.
“So, what did you eat to discuss?” Ariel asked; she wanted to finish fast and go home with Aiden, she felt like there was something they needed to discuss.
Jasper cleared his throat, his eyes observing how close Aiden was sitting to Ariel, jw couldn’t shake off the feeling that something had drastically changed between the two from the last time he saw them.
“Um, I have this client from Australia.
I told him about my project with you guys, and he was very impressed.
He was wondering if you guys can also do something similar for him…although, he requested that you both come down to Australia and-” “No.” Aiden interrupted.
Ariel looked at him, “You didn’t even let him finish,” She whispered.
Aiden shook his head, “We’re not going to Australia, Ariel.
We already have our hands filled over here, and we don’t do that kind of work.
If he wants us, he’d come down here,” Aiden stated.
“We?
Speak for yourself, Aiden?” Ariel scoffed.
Jasper sat there, looking from one person to another as they bickered.
“Really?
What do you intend to do?
Leave our son and travel around the world?
Just like my father did?
I’m not leaving my son for no one to be traumatized,” He reported.
Ariel gasped, “What are you insinuating?
You’re calling me your mother?” She glared at him.
Aiden sighed, “That’s not what I’m saying, I’m saying we don’t have to trust anyone with our child, we already have all the money to last our generations forever, so, I don’t see why we shouldn’t entertain any job offer that threatens to separate us, Ariel,” He paused and held her hand, “Apart from us, we can’t trust anyone to take care of Jace in our absence, we can’t risk it, Moma, just-” “Um, Mr.
Chaz, Ariel-” “Quiet!” Aiden and Ariel snapped at Jasper at once.
Jasper gasped, pausing and slowly blinking at the man and woman sitting in front of him.
“Um, I’m sorry, guys, it’s okay if you don’t want to travel to Australia; I can just tell him to come down here; you guys don’t have to fight,” Jasper intervened.
He no longer needed to ask, it was clear that Aiden and Ariel were a couple.
If not, which woman dared to speak to Mr.
Chaz that way, he’d heard of Aiden’s cold treatment of women, so for him to allow Ariel to act and speak this way to him meant that there must be something special between them.
Aiden sighed, “Tell him that, Jasper.
He can send in his proposal.
My staff will attend to him,” He reed.
Jasper nodded, “Of course, Mr.
Chaz, I’ll let him know-” “I’ll find the restroom,” Ariel suddenly stood and walked past Aiden.
“Moma,” He held her hand, looking up at her.
He never intended to make her angry, he was just thinking of what would be good for their family “Are you alright?” He asked quietly.
Ariel nodded and slowly removed her hand from his.
“I’m fine; I just want to use the restroom, excuse me,” She said and turned away from him, walking away.
“I’m sorry for causing you trouble with your….” Jasper paused, not knowing what to refer to Ariel as.
“Wife, Jasper.
She’s my wife,” Aiden informed.
Jasper was shocked, “Wife?” He asked in disbelief.
He thought maybe a girlfriend or just a king for missing business with pleasure.
Alas, he was wrong, Aiden and Ariel were married.
How come the press had never spread such juicy news on the Internet?
“Yes, Jasper, she’s my wife.
Give me a moment, I need to check on my wife,” Aiden stood, looking in the direction Ariel went.
Jasper widened his eyes, “Mr.
Chaz, she’s gone to the female restroom,” he reminded.
“So?” Aiden asked with a raised brow.
“N-nothing, Mr.
Chaz, go ahead,” Jasper smiled.
Aiden didn’t respond, he simply turned away from Jasper and walked away.
Jasper was left to wonder just what Aiden was going to do with Ariel inside the female’s restroom.
Was it what he was thinking?
