Chapter 173: Chapter 173 Chapter 173: Chapter 173 Moon had just finished with her call to Hugo when Grandma Nari’s driver slowed the car in front of her.
She immediately stood and walked to the car, getting in behind the car.
She was very happy when she saw Grandma Nari inside the car, “Oh, Grandma!” Moon hugged the old woman as she entered the car.
However, Grandma Nari wasn’t very receptive to Moon’s greetings; she remained stoic and irresponsive.
The car slowly started moving away from the apartment, and Grandma Nari turned to Moon.
“Moon, what’d this supposed to mean?
Is this how you want Aiden to take you seriously?
You leave your daughter and run off to have fun?
Do you think Aiden will consider marrying an irresponsible woman?” Grandma Nari sighed disappointedly.
Moon shook her head, “No, Grandma, you’re misunderstanding, it’s not how it is.” She gently held her hand.
“You see, I told you I was going to speak with Aiden.
I followed him to a club where he was meeting with his business partners, and I was patiently waiting for him to finish but I never knew Ariel was there with him too.
She bullied me, Grandma, she forced me to drink and she spiked the drinks, then…” Moon suddenly started sobbing, using the back of her hand to wipe her tears.
Grandma Nari turned to her and held her shoulder, using her handkerchief to wipe Moon’s tears, “It’s alright, honey, it’s alright.
You can tell me when you’re ready,” She said softly.
Moon shook her head, “No, I have to tell you now, Grandma.
Ariel, when she was satisfied with how drunk I was, she paid a man to take me home, I was almost raped, Grandma,” “What?!” Grandma Nari was in shock.
“What kind of human does that to another?
How evil is Ariel turning?” Grandma Nari asked in disbelief.
Moon nodded her head, “That’s why we don’t have to leave her beside Aiden, Grandma, she’s dangerous; she could kill him any moment; your grandson is not safe…He’s been tricked into loving her, Grandma, we have to help him.” She hugged Grandma Nari, wrapping her arms around hers.
“It’s alright, Moon.
But, I’m curious, you said you were almost raped, how did you escape?” Grandma Nari questioned.
Moon bit her lips, she was quickly thinking of what to say to the old woman.
“Um, I managed to use my last strength to knock the man out with a flower vase, Grandma; luckily, he was still passed out this morning, I guess the hit was hard; I had to make a run for it and leave the apartment before I called you,” Moon lied.
Grandma Nari was frowning, “Then I don’t think we should just go home, we have to hold that man accountable for what he almost did to you,” She was leaning over to speak to the driver when Moon suddenly grabbed her hand.
“No!
No, Grandma, it’s alright.
The man was also under the influence and he didn’t succeed in doing anything to me, so he’s not important, if someone should be punished, it should be Ariel, Grandma, she was the one who plotted everything and deserves to be punished,” Moon reasoned, praying within her for Grandma Nari to listen to her.
Taking her back to meet that pink man would make it hard for the story to be believed.
Grandma Nari would immediately know that the man was gay and wouldn’t want anything to do with her, plus, she had just lied that the man was still lying unconscious on the floor.

Taking her to see a man in vibrant pink with a scowling face wouldn’t be the best representation of what she had just told her.
Grandma Nari sighed and relaxed back on the seat.
“Then we will take you home first.
Candy is already sulking.
You don’t have to worry about Ariel, I will take care of her; all you have to do is to remain calm and collected because I’m afraid Aiden would never agree to marry you if you keep acting recklessly,” She informed.
Moon’s heart skipped a beat, hearing it directly from Grandma Nari reminded her that there was really a possibility of Aiden not marrying her.
She did know that all Grandma Nari could do was just keep pestering Aiden to marry her.
She could never force him, neither could she force him to sign the marriage papers.
She smiled at Grandma Nari, “Don’t worry, Grandma, I will be very good from now on,” She kissed the old woman’s cheek and rested her head on her shoulder.
Moon was smirking; she really meant it when she asked Grandma Nari not to worry.
Ariel’s demise was already on its way to her; it would be very swift because wasting time during this period was very dangerous.
Moon could feel that something was about to happen so she had to act fast before she couldn’t.
*** “Are you sure you don’t want to be home-schooled, little man?” Aiden questioned Jace, who was excitedly sitting in the back seat.
Jace looked at his father in the front seat and smiled at him, “Yes, Daddy, Mummy said I will make cool friends in school,” He replied, looking out the window to see Ariel smiling at him.
Aiden sighed, Ariel had already told him that Jace preferred going to school, but he didn’t just like the idea.
He just got his family, he was scared of losing any of them.
Even though he was leaving Jace in the care of professional bodyguards, he wasn’t still satisfied; he would have just preferred for Jace to be at home, where he’d have his eyes on him every second.
“Chill, baby; Jace is a big boy; he can take care of himself in school.
Right, darling?” Ariel leaned down and put her hand through the window, patting Jace’s well-combed hair.
“Yes, Mummy, can we go now?” He asked as he kicked his legs in front of him.
That was a habit he’d developed whenever he was excited over something, he would kick his little legs around in anticipation.
“Take him to school, Darling, and hurry back,” Ariel winked at Aiden, she kissed Jace’s cheek before stepping away from the car.
Aiden’s eyes turned dark for a second before he chuckled and nodded.
He knew what Ariel’s wink meant; they barely touched each other last night because of Jace, who was lying between them; this morning was probably the only time they had for themselves until Jace returned from school.
He suddenly loved the idea of Jace going to school, it meant he had more time for his wife.
“See you soon,” Aiden said to Ariel and rolled the windows up, he couldn’t wait to return already.
Ariel smiled as the car drove out of the compound, however, her smile fell from her face the moment Aiden’s car went out of sight.
She immediately turned behind her and looked at Gregory, “What did you find out, Gregory?” She questioned.
Gregory walked down the stairs and stood beside Ariel, “It’s just as you suspected, Ariel.
The video from the hospital was tampered with; it’s kind of glitched and cut.
I’m afraid we can’t recover it,” He informed.
Ariel smiled, “Oh, don’t worry, Greg.
This is my hobby.
Call Gideon and ask him to go to Aiden’s office; Jewel will know what to give him the moment he sees him.
Meanwhile, you have to go get your girlfriend, my bad…I mean your documentary, try to convince her to go meet Moon,” Ariel smiled as she ordered.
Gregory scratched the back of his head.
“I understand, then I’ll be going,” He nodded at her.
“Hold on,” Ariel held him back.
“Do you know what she has to do?” She questioned.
Gregory nodded, “Yes.
I have to make her wear a recorder so she could get everything Moon would say,” He replied.
Ariel nodded.
“Alright, I’ll have this,” She took the phone from him.
It wasn’t his personal phone, of course.
It was a phone she had personally provided him for that particular job.
“Everything has to be finished before Jace returns.
I can’t ignore my son over some stupid investigations,” Ariel said as she turned away from him.
“I understand.
I’ll be leaving now,” Gregory informed and walked toward the carport He was already sending a text to Gideon as he started the car.
Now, these were the kind of jobs he liked doing.
Simple and straight to the point.
However, he might have a little challenge in the part where he has to convince Eva to go see Moon in her house.
She had been hiding from Moon since her return, convincing her might just be the most tricky part of his mission.
He drove the car straight to her apartment and realized that he’d forgotten something.
He had always driven her home but never asked which apartment was hers, and he didn’t even get her number.
He sighed and got out of the car, he would just have to describe her to people and hope they led him to the right apartment.
