Chapter 175: Chapter 175 Chapter 175: Chapter 175 Gideon walked over to Jewel’s office and went right in without knocking.
He didn’t like the guy, he could still remember how rude Jewel was to him the first day they met.
He wondered why Ariel kept him as a friend, and if his instinct were right, then it meant that Jewel was gay.
No offense here, but he hated those sets of people; why couldn’t they just be normal?
And they always felt so entitled.
He was disappointed to find that Jewel wasn’t in his office, “Where the fuck did he run off to now?” He muttered.
“What are you doing here?” Gideon almost gasped like a woman when he felt the finger poking his side.
Why the hell would Jewel creep up all of a sudden on him in this quiet office?
It was always quiet here as if there were no employees, but they were just simply minding their damn business, something Jewel couldn’t do.
He turned and glared at him, “Jewel-” “Mr.
Jewel,” Jewel corrected and strode over to his chair behind his table.
Gideon eyed him angrily, “Listen, I’m not here to banter.
Give me whatever it is, Ariel said you would, and I’ll be out of here,” He stated.
Jewel narrowed his eyes at Gideon, “You have an attitude; fix it,” He crossed his arms over his chest and relaxed against his chair.
Gideon couldn’t believe it; he stared at the person sitting in front of him; if the word ‘attitude was a person, it would be Jewel.
Yet he sat there and dared to tell him that he had an attitude.
“Look, Jewel-” “Mr.
Jewel-” “Just give me the damn pen…and I’ll leave,” Gideon said in a calm voice.
Jewel was quiet for a while; he slowly looked Gideon up and down, scrunching up his nose in dissatisfaction, “Being taller than me doesn’t give you the leverage to look down on me, just so you know,” He commented with a frown.
“Well, technically, I have to literally look down on you since I’m…what the fuck am I saying.
Just give me the damn pen, Jewel!” Gideon was frustrated.
He had to leave his work at the company to run this errand for Ariel, but the idiot in front of him was making what was supposed to be a simple task to be a hard one.
Jewel frowned harder, “I don’t appreciate your tone.
But you’re lucky, just for the sake of Ariel…” He pulled out his drawer took it out, and stood from the chair.
He strode toward Gideon and stretched his hand to him, “Take it and leave, I’ll ask Ariel to send someone more peaceful next time,” Gideon didn’t even bother to reply to Jewel, he took the pen from his hand and turned away from him.
“You’re welcome.
How unmannered,” Jewel muttered as Gideon left his office.
Outside the company, Gideon had safely placed the pen in his pocket and drove away, heading to Aiden’s home.
He reached it in no time and parked in front of the gate.
Ariel had already asked someone to open the gate for him, and he was immediately led inside the house as he reached.

“Welcome to my home, Gideon,” Ariel said from the couch as she hunched over the computer on her lap.
Gideon walked over to her and sat beside her, “Boos, you know this is intimidating, right?
I’ve worked for you for two years yet you never thought to let me know that you’re married to Mr.
Chaz.
And you dare to say ‘Welcome to our home’ as if it was some random apartment.
It’s a fucking mansion, Ariel, they are guards outside and inside the gates, this mansion looks like what my whole generation would never afford, and-” “Breath, Gideon, breath,” Ariel placed a hand on his thigh, calmly staring into his eyes.
Gideon sighed, “I’m frustrated…that Jewel of a guy is a pain in the ass,” He complained.
Ariel was surprised; Jewel was a sweet guy except for those he didn’t like, like Eva, in the past.
But Gideon?
She couldn’t think of why Jewel would be a pain in the ass to Gideon.
“Jewel?
I don’t think so; he’s quite a kind and sweet guy,” Ariel said and typed a few things into her computer.
Gideon groaned in frustration, rubbing his hand over his face.
“Please, just don’t.
Here’s your Secret pen,” He fished out from his pocket and gave it to Ariel.
Ariel had a satisfied smirk on her face as she took the pen from him.
“Great, I’m guessing Moon’s chapter is going to be closed soon; I’ll make it worth her while she had put in so much effort all these years; I can’t let her go down in silence; it has to be loud, just like her actions,” She smiled.
*** Meanwhile, Gregory had just parked the car under a tree.
The estate was quiet, almost like no one resided there; he had parked three blocks away from the building Ariel had shown him.
“We’re here?” Eva asked, turning her face to look at Gregory.
“Yes,” The first word he’d said since the start of their forty-minute journey.
Eva gulped, she looked out of the window, “So, which one is it?” She questioned.
The houses in that estate looked identical, she needed a direct point out of Moon’s house so she wouldn’t end up in the wrong door.
“Number seven, the building with the number seven on front of it,” Gregory pointed in front of them.
Eva followed his hand and saw the silver plaque with the number seven written on black on the wall of the fourth house from them.
“Oh, okay, I’ll get going, then,” She said to him and pushed the door open.
Gregory held her hand before she fully left the car, “You just have to pretend like nothing happened between you two; tell her you want to go ahead with the initial plan with her, understood?” He asked softly.
Eva nodded, “I know, Mr.
Gregory, I’ll be back,” She smiled at him and left the car.
As she walked toward Moon’s house, she could feel Gregory’s eyes on her back but she focused on the building in front.
She soon reached it and walked up to the door.
She kicked twice for the first time and waited.
Eva felt awkward as she was the only one disturbing the quiet neighborhood.
She was about to knock again when she saw the bell button by the wall; she sighed in relief and pressed it; she was already tired of asking for noise with her knuckles.
She pressed the bell button again and heard faint footsteps walking toward the door.
The door was slowly pulled open, but Eva was left surprised as she searched for the person who had opened the door.
“Hi,” Eva was startled when she felt tiny hands touching her knees, she snapped her head down and was surprised to find a cute angel staring at her in her pigtails and blue home dress.
She didn’t need to question who the kid was; Moon’s face could easily be identified on the girl’s.
She immediately lowered herself to squat in front of the girl, “Hi, I’m Eva; what’s your name?” She smiled at the little girl.
Candy looked at Eva’s face and wondered why she couldn’t recognize her.
“I’m Candy,” She replied in her tiny, reserved voice.
Eva held Candy’s arm, “Your name is as sweet as your face, Candy.
I’m your Mummy’s friend…is she home?” She asked with a kind voice.
She hated to lie to the little girl about being Moon’s friend, but it wasn’t as if her mother was an angel; Moon almost killed her, Ariel, and her unborn baby.
She wasn’t innocent, but she was repentant and since Moon wasn’t planning on changing her ways anytime soon, someone had to stop her.
Candy nodded her head, her pigtails wagging behind her, “Yes, Mummy is-” “Candy!
Who are you speaking to?!
I told you it’s dangerous to unlock the…oh no…” Moon hurried over just to see Eva holding her daughter’s hand.
What was happening?
How is Eva also alive?
Was she working with Arien now?
Why was she even in her house and did she find it?
“Eva?” She called in a shaky voice.
“You see, I told you your Mummy is my good friend, right, Moon?” Eva held Candy and led her inside the house.
Moon’s heart was racing; she wasn’t comfortable at all; she didn’t trust Eva; something told her that she was here for revenge, and the way Eva was holding Candy made her heart fall into her stomach.
Her daughter was the only thing she’d never play with; she tried her best to keep Candy out of all her shady businesses because she knew that one of her haters would definitely want to hurt her child.
But it looked like she wasn’t careful enough; Eva had found her and her daughters.
“Let’s chat, Moon, long time no see, dearest friend,” Eva hugged Moon and kept walking into the house, Candy still by her side.
