Chapter 181: Chapter 181 Chapter 181: Chapter 181 Ariel was glad that she was home alone again.
Aiden went to a meeting, while Jace went to school.
She wasn’t going to let the day waste away.
She didn’t need to wait for Gregory and Eva to come and meet her, she’d rather get a few men ready before going to meet them.
She knew Aiden had a few more bodyguards apart from Gregory, so instead of expecting Gregory to carry pitcher orders alone, she could call a few, maybe three more.
She didn’t want any delay in her plans.
She had thought of just asking the bodyguards standing in from today’s house to follow her, but she thought against it.
Aiden kept them there for a reason; she wouldn’t leave the house bare just because of some stupid investigation.
She didn’t like that she was stressing herself out because of what Moon had done, but she knew the end would be so satisfying.
She walked into Aiden’s office and logged into his computer, he searched for his bodyguards’ profile and quickly typed in the numbers of the few pushed felt were fit for her job.
After she was done, she turned off the computer and left the office.
She had sent them a message as Aiden’s wife and asked them to come over to the house immediately; after a few minutes, she received a text from one of the bodyguards called Bison, telling her that they had arrived.
She checked her small purse to make sure she had the secret pen before waking out of the house.
Outside, she found four guys dressed in black pants and black body-hug shirts; they were standing in front of a black van, and Ariel couldn’t help smiling; the van was just the right vehicle for her mission.
“Hood morning, Ms.
Chaz,” They bowed to her as she walked over to them.
“Good morning, guys.
I’m sorry for the sudden summoning, but,” She paused and stood in front of Bison, the tall guard with dark hair and brown eyes.
She remembered him from his picture on Aiden’s computer.
“Do you guys know how to kidnap?
She smiled at him.
Bison looked at the other guys before bidding at Ariel.
“Awesome, here he is,” She fished out the pictures Gregory had taken of Hugo and handed them to them.
“You want him brought home?” Bison questioned.
Ariel shook her head, “No.
I’ll give you the location let’s go,” She said and motioned for them to open the door for her.
Bison nodded and opened the door for her, making sure she got in and got comfortable before he went and sat in front.
The other two guys sat with Ariel behind the van while the last guy went to the driver’s seat.
“Drive, Diego,” Bison said to the guy in the driver’s seat.
“Alright,” Diego replied.

The car drove out of the compound, and Ariel knew that this was the beginning of the end.
She sent a message to Gregory to meet them at Hugo’s house, hopefully, he’d be home.
*** Gregory and Eva were already ready to meet Ariel at her home, but he got a message asking him to meet her at Hugo’s house and became alarmed.
“We have to hurry,” He said as he opened the door for Eva.
“What happened?” Eva questioned as Gregory closed her door.
Gregory quickly got in beside her and started the car, driving away.
“Ariel is already on her way to Hugo’s house,” he informed.
“Huh?!” Eva’s eyes widened in shock, “She did what?
Why?
Does she have a death wish or something?” She shifted uncomfortably in her chair.
“Relax, we can get there before she does,” He assured her, sensing her panic.
“We better,” Eva sighed and went quiet.
Gregory glanced at her before focusing on the road.
Last night, he had been lucky that Eva had slept way faster than he thought, he didn’t lay in the bed with her.
He had been sitting on the table in his room, pretending to work and waiting for her to fall asleep on the bed, and she did.
When he saw that Eva had fallen asleep, he quietly left the room and went to sleep on the sofa; it wasn’t very comfortable; in fact, his neck still hurt very badly from the strain, but he didn’t regret sleeping on the couch, it was better than sleeping on the bed with Eva.
He had come to understand that Eva loved teasing him, and he wasn’t sure for how long he was going to be able to take her teasing.
“Mr.
Gregory, look,” Eva pointed out of the window as they reached the street that led to Hugo’s house.
Gregory looked pit the window and saw a man walking in the same way as Hugo’s house.
“Who’s that?” He asked, confused.
Why was Eva showing him a random man?
“That’s…um…yes!
That’s Barrel, slow down, let’s watch where he’s going,” She tapped Gregory’s lap.
Gregory obeyed; he could see Hugo’s house and was relieved not to see any of Ariel’s or Aiden’s vehicles; it meant that Ariek hadn’t gotten here yet; it was quite a distance from her home.
“Okay…who’s this Barrel guy?
Your ex?” Gregory turned to look at Eva.
“What?!
Eww, no way,” She frowned, “He’s one of Hugo’s men, There were three; I think the third one was Josh?
Yeah, Josh.
He’s not my ex, he’s a criminal,” She explained.
Gregory slowly nodded, “That explains why he’s acting funny as he’s moving toward the house,” he stared at Barrel as he kept looking from side to side before he finally ran toward Hugo’s house.
He stood in front of the door and knocked, his eyes still searching around the whole place.
Soon, the door was opened slightly, and someone peeked his head out to see who was knocking before allowing Barrel in.
“I guess that’s our third guy?” Gregory pointed to the house.
Eva nodded, a frown on her face, “Yes, that’s Josh,” she felt angry and ashamed.
Sometimes, she felt as if she had it easy just because Ariel had saved and forgiven her.
She was supposed to be among these people who were about to be arrested; she was in the plan together with them, but here she was, sitting freely and watching them get their karma.
Gregory saw Eva’s face changing expressions, none of it were happy, he reached out his hand to her and touched her arm, “What are you thinking about?” He asked gently.
Eva sighed and stared up at him, “Nothing,” She said.
Gregory raised a brow at her, “That’s not true,” He called her out.
“I believe you’ve changed, Eva.
Helping out like this is the proof.
You want to do better, and you are doing it; I commend your courage, and I’m proud of you; truly, you’re a brave woman, and I know you’re going to show the world what your good change can bring to it,” He gently rubbed her arm.
Eva got emotional hearing Gregory’s words; no one had ever told her that they were proud of her, and no one had ever spoken such positive words to her.
Her parent had only spoken to her about money, money, and more money.
Marry rich, study to be rich, associate with rich, rich this, rich that.
None of them ever cared about what she really wanted for herself, and back then, she had done everything they wanted just so they wouldn’t treat her like they treated Ariel.
But now, she was discovering things she never knew about herself, and she was going to do only what she wanted from now on, and that was why she turned her face to Gregory and smiled up at him.
Gregory gave her a simple nod and was about to remove his hand from her arm but she helped his hand, “You’re proud of me?” She asked him.
He slowly nodded, looking at her teary eyes, “Did I say something wrong?” He was concerned.
Eva shook her head, “No,” she replied.
“Then why are – Mmm?” Gregory swallowed his words as Eva’s lips crashed on his.
Her arm was around his neck, and her body was leaning close to his; his brain froze, and his thoughts stopped processing.
Eva noticed that Gregory wasn’t responding, but she didn’t care; she was going to make him respond; she deepened the slow kiss and slowly slid her tongue between his lips, and that just happened to wake Gregory’s brain up.
His ark suddenly went around her waist as he kissed her back, tongue to tongue and all.
They were soon becoming breathless for kissing each other so desperately, Gregory was about to pull her over to his lap when Eva slowly pulled her head away to look into his eyes.
For the first time, she saw the look of realization on Gregory’s face, the look a man gave a woman when he realized that he wanted her.
“This time, you won’t lie about forgetting my kiss, Mr.
Gregory,” She smiled at him and leaned back into her chair.
Gregory was still staring at her, speechless; he didn’t know how to reply.
So she had known that he had lied about forgetting their first kiss?
