Chapter 185: Chapter 185 Chapter 185: Chapter 185 “Ariel, are you sure you want to do this with them?
You’re indulging them and making them think that they can control us.
If you want, I can send them away,” Aiden spoke to Ariel as they drove toward the hospital.
Ariel chuckled, “Come on, baby, what would we have been doing at home all day?
Some entertainment is good.
Plus, our son is having the time of his life with his purchased sister, let the kids play while we have some fun, okay?” She pinched his cheek.
Aiden sighed; he always forgot that Ariel had changed; she wasn’t the Ariel from three years ago who would sit and watch Moon bully and manipulate her; it seemed like she was the one bullying everyone this time around; she even bullied him in the start, too.
“Fine, but if you get uncomfortable, you’ll let me know and we’ll leave, alright?” He asked.
Ariel nodded, “Sure,” She was slowly kicking her legs in front of him like Jace used to do.
Aiden realized that their son had taken most of his mother’s attributes, he found it cute.
He leaned in and placed a hand on the thighs, “When we have a daughter, she’ll look exactly like me and have my temperaments too,” He whispered.
Ariel turned to him with a raised brow, “Where is that coming from?” She questioned.
Aiden pouted, “I just think so; we’ve been doing it a lot, Moma; chances of being pregnant as we speak are high.
How about we let Carla test that for us?” Je smirked at her.
Ariel panicked for a second; she recalled the last time Carla conducted a pregnancy test on her; it did end well, and even though she now had everything under control, she guessed the trauma she faced was still hiding somewhere within her.
Aiden noticed her silence and change in facial expression; he quickly hugged her and kissed her forehead, “Hey, I’m sorry if I said something sensitive; we can just wait for baby Bumb to say hi to us; I don’t mind,” He gently patted her back.
Ariel laughed, feeling better with Aiden’s unintended jokes.
“It’s alright, just, like Carla told you, the last time I did a pregnancy test with her, it didn’t end well for me, for us…” Her voice was low, her hands played with the buttons of Aiden’s shirt.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that, baby.
I know we haven’t talked about this, but I just want to let you know that I know everything you met through Dad told me.
I feel so awful for everything; for delivering you, you cheated on me; I was here being angry at you when you were fighting for your life and our babies.
I love you, Ariel, and nothing will ever make me question that,” He softly assured and kissed his cheek.
Ariel smiled widely, “So, you believe I didn’t cheat on you?” She stated into his eyes.
Aiden had found it hard to understand, but as the day went by, he realized that if Ariel was kidnapped that night, then whoever kidnapped her was responsible for framing her for sending him that stupid picture; he was too old to get fooled.
Ariel hugged him, “You don’t know what your words mean to me, Aiden; thank you for believing me.
I have things I want to show and tell you, but it’s not the right time, I hope you won’t be angry with me in the end, I’m -” Aiden kissed her softly.
“You talk too much…we’re almost at the hospital,” He pointed out of the window.
Ariel looked and saw that it was true, Grandma Nari’s car was already driving into the gates.
“You don’t have to worry; whatever you’re doing, I’ll always support you.
I’m your husband; never forget that,” Aiden patted her head before getting out of the car.

Ariel was smiling like a teenager as Aiden helped her down from the car.
She saw Moon standing at a distance with Grandma Nari and gave her a warm smile; only Moon knew that there was nothing warm about that smile.
Moon had been secretly delighted when Ariel suggested they leave the kids at Aiden’s home, she had feared that bringing Candy to the hospital would make Ariel ask her to conduct another DNA on her.
She knew that Ariel already suspected that Candy wasn’t Aiden’s, but she was glad that Ariel had no evidence to prove it, and she hoped within her that she would get the chance to manipulate the doctor again, just like she did the first time.
“Let’s go,” Aiden held Ariel’s hand and walked into the hospital.
“Grandma, look, he has no regard for me whatsoever; he’s just treating her as if she’s the only one who’s had a child for him; what about me, Grandma?
When will Aiden realize that I love him, I’m ready to give him as many children as he wants, Grandma, but he fails to realize that, he only has eyes for Ariel, that stupid, manipulating woman,” She complained as they stood in front of the hospital.
She was getting super anxious after seeing that Jace was still alive, she was waiting to be alone so she could text him about the expensive joke he was playing with her.
She was going to demand a refund, and he didn’t refund her money, as her revenge, she was going to expose him for all he’d been doing around the country.
She would make sure that he and his stupid gang got locked up for eternity.
“Moon,” Grandma Nari sighed and looked at her, taking her hand in hers and gently led Moon inside the hospital.
“Yes, Grandma,” Moon answered with a voice.
“You know I love my grandson, right?” Grandma Nari asked.
Moon nodded, “And you love me too, Grandma,” She replied, sensing that the topic was suddenly going in a direction that wouldn’t favor her.
“Yes, yes, Moon, I love you, but you know I will always live, Aiden, more, and loving someone meant wanting to see that person happy; I believe you think the same way, too, right?” Grandma Nari spoke as they walked past the reception, heading toward the elevator.
Moon reluctantly replied, “Yes, Grandma,” Grandma Nari smiled, “Good.
I know this will hurt you, but I’m not here in this hospital to find reasons to separate Aiden from Ariel; I’m here to make sure that Jace is Aiden’s son, and even if he’s not, that wouldn’t still make me ask Aiden to separate with someone he loves.
I just want to make sure that they are starting their relationship with truth and transparency.
You and I know that Aiden had suffered so much as a child, Ariel is the first woman to make him happy.
And, if you truly love him as you claim, you would let him be; his happiness is not with you, Moon; it’s time you let him be happy, okay?” She gently patted Moon’s shoulder as the elevator carried them up to meet Aiden and Ariel.
Moon felt her world crumbling after hearing what Grandma Nari had to say.
What was she supposed to do now?
The only person who was her backbone in this whole journey was backing out, what was she supposed to do now?
Grandma Nari was the only person to who she couldn’t show her evil side; if she could, she would long have threatened her into driving Aiden to marry her.
But at that moment, Moon couldn’t help thinking about ways to convince Grandma Nari that she must let her marry Aiden, and she wasn’t thinking about soft words of convincing; she was thinking about something dark and sinister.
She smiled at Grandma Nari, “Then…does that mean, Candy doesn’t get to have her parents with her?” Moon cautiously questioned.
She didn’t know what else to say to the old woman; she had made her point loud and clear, and Moon didn’t want to push it at the moment; it would make the old woman realize that she was desperate for Aiden.
She did want Grandma Nari to find out that this whole fiasco wasn’t even about Candy as she had always claimed it was.
It’s always been about her, and her alone.
Moon was going to take it upon herself, come what may, she would marry Aiden, even if she had to kill Ariel herself.
“You have seen it yourself; Ariel has no problems accommodating Candy; even her boy loves her.
Just let them be, Moon.
And, after the test, if Jace turns out not to be Aiden’s, I want you to accept and love the boy, just the we accepted and loved you, even though you are not our blood.
Do you understand?” Grandma Nari asked as the elevator door slid open.
“Yes, Grandma, Aiden deserves his happiness, after all,” Moon replied in a quiet voice as they walked over to Carla’s office.
The moment they walked through the door to Carla’s office, they saw Carla handing Aiden a result.
Moon knew the color of the paper so well, it was the result of a DNA test, and she hoped it would turn out negative.
But, she knew, she knew that Ariel had beer cheated on Aiden, she knew she’d been the one making everything up from the beginning.
