Chapter 190: Chapter 190 Chapter 190: Chapter 190 Gideon followed the security guy into the bar.
The place was surprisingly filled that afternoon; he noticed how the roof lighting made the whole place look lively, and the lights bounced off the polished brown wood floor that matched the tables and chairs.
His eyes slowly searched the bar, looking for the culprit that had led him there.
“He’s right at the front bar,” The security guy said and pointed to the front.
Gideon looked in the direction ahead and saw Jewel sitting on a low-back chair, he turned to the security guy and nodded at him, “Thank you,” He said.
He turned and slowly approached Jewel, “Ahem,” He cleared his throat once he stood behind Jewel.
Jewel heard the person behind him and slowly turned to look at him, “Hi,” He smiled at Gideon.
Gideon didn’t smile back, nothing was funny to him, “Take this,” He took the Flash out from his pocket and stretched it to Jewel.
Jewel frowned, “Huh?
Ah, yes, the Flash…
drop it on the floor, oops…on the table,” He giggled.
Gideon sighed and moved to drop it on the table; that was when he noticed that Jewel wasn’t stable; he was swaying lightly from one side to the other…drunk.
Gideon retrieved his hand that was going to drop the Flash on the table, but before he could put it back in his pocket, Jewel held his hand, “What’s wrong, handsome?
Not giving it to me anymore?” Jewel asked.
Gideon sighed, mentally kicking himself for not noticing how slurred Jewel’s words were from the beginning.
“I see you’re having fun in the middle of an afternoon, I’ll let you be.
I’ll just return the Flash to Ariel and let her know that you were not in the best mood to receive it,” Gideon gently removed his hand from Jewel’s and turned turned leave when he heard someone fall to the floor.
“Sir, sir,” A waiter quickly ran up to Gideon and blocked his path.
“How may I help you?” He asked.
He knew it was Jewel who fell to the floor, but was he going to help him?
No.
He’s gone through enough stress for the day; handling a drunk adult wasn’t part of his job description, and he most certainly wasn’t a good Samaritan.
“Um, I’m sorry, I’m the one who served your boyfriend the drinks.
He told me you were coming to pick him up, so I’m surprised you’re leaving him behind,” The waiter said.
Gideon frowned, “He said I was his boyfriend and was coming to pick him up?” He asked slowly to make sure that he hadn’t heard wrong.
The waiter nodded, “Yes, he said you both are fighting at the moment and you might probably choose to leave him behind…
just like you’re about to.” Gideon chuckled in disbelief, the nerve Jewel had!
“Please, do take him home; he seemed quite heartbroken when he came in,” He pleaded, pointing to Jewel, who was chill7bg on the floor.
Gideon sighed, “Sure,” He smiled.
He had to agree; he had to; if not, he would get into the same situation he was in with that older woman at the office.

He just had to tame Jewel to his hound and probably leave the Flas there, too; he’d seen enough of Jewel, so he was avoiding whatever reason that might bring them together again.
“Alright, thank you,” The waiter nodded and stepped aside but leaving, he wanted to make sure that Jewel was taken away.
Gideon squatted in front of Jewel, “Get up and follow me,” he said to the drunk man.
Jewel didn’t move or respond, he simply lay there, quiet.
Gideon sighed; he knew the waiter was still standing behind him, watching; if he dared to leave, he would have to listen to a long sermon about how he was an uncaring boyfriend.
He took a deep breath and put his hands under Jewel’s arms, grunting as he lifted him to his feet.
He placed one of Jewel’s arms around his shoulder and firmly held his waist.
“You better move your legs, or I promise I’ll drop you back on the floor,” Gideon threatened between gritted teeth.
“Mmm,” Jewel hummed and held Gideon’s shoulder tightly.
“Ugh, not too tight,” Gideon tapped on Jewel’s arm, coughing.
He frowned when Jewel’s arm didn’t lose, angry, he decided to walk them out of the bar quickly.
“See you later, Brandon,” Jewel waved to the security guy outside as they walked out of the bar.
“Take care of him, Mr.
Gideon,” Brandon nodded at them.
Gideon didn’t respond to him, he focused on taking Jewel to his car.
He obviously couldn’t let him drive while drunk.
He grunted as he pulled the door open and pushed Jewel in, lifting his legs into the car.
“I don’t get paid enough to do this shit,” Gideon muttered.
“My head hurts,” Jewel said slowly, holding his head with his hands.
“Oh?
I’m surprised,” Gideon sarcastically responded, slamming the back door and grumpily walking over to the front.
He got into his car and looked behind, “Give me your location, please,” Gideon asked calmly, he was slowly losing his cool.
“No,” Jewel said.
“No?” Gideon raised a brow.
“Yes, no,” He said.
“Right, of course…no,” Gideon clenched his fists.
He stared at Jewel, who was stumping his feet on his seat.
He sighed and fixed his seat belt.
He picked up his phone and immediately dialed Ariel’s number.
“Hello, Ariel, I’m currently with a drunk Jewel who doesn’t remember where he lives, can you give me his address?” He asked.
“I’m sorry, Gideon, I don’t know where he lives…
just take him to your house; you can give him the flash when he’s sober enough,” Ariel replied and immediately ended the call.
Gideon clenched his hand around the phone, breathing heavily to control his rising anger.
“It just keeps getting worse,” He threw the phone next to the seat beside him, cursing under his breath.
“Fuck this,” He muttered and drove off, regretting why he ever agreed to help Ariel out.
Soon, he parked in front of his house and got out of the car.
“Get out,” He said as he opened the door for Jewel Jewel didn’t respond, but he slowly tried to lift himself from his lying position.
Gideon sighed and leaned down to help Jewel out of the car.
He was frowning as he helped Jewel enter his house.
“Ouch!” Jewel groaned when Gideon harshly dropped him on the sofa.
“This is the worst day of my life,” Gideon said and turned away from Jewel.
What he needed at the moment was a warm shower to wash away all the frustration he’d accumulated for the day.
Without looking back, he walked away, heading right into his room.
Gideon planned to sleep immediately after his shower.
However, he never expected to feel the frustration he’d washed away to immediately seep right back into his body.
“Hi,” Jewel waved at Gideon and resumed his position on his bed, comfortably placing his head back on the pillow.
“No, no, no, this is not happening,” He rushed over to his bed and dragged Jewel out of his bed and onto the floor.
“Get your drunk ass out of my bed,” He angrily said to Jewel, who was now glaring at him from the floor.
“That hurts,” Jewel pouted.
“If you’re sober enough, get up and leave,” Gideon pointed to the door.
“That hurts,” Jewel repeated as if he heard nothing Gideon had said to him.
Gideon was exasperated, he was lost for what to do.
He was thankful that he had dressed up in the bathroom; how was he supposed to have dressed up with the madman in his room?
“Just go out and lay on the couch until you’re ready to leave, Jewel; I need to sleep; I’m tired,” Gideon told him and went ahead to lie on his bed, ignoring Jewel because he had seen that he wasn’t in his right senses to hold a conversation.
“Okay,” Jewel replied and got up from the floor, walking sluggishly toward the door.
Just when Gideon thought he would have some peace and quiet, he saw Jewel running back to his bed at lightning speed.
“What?!
Whoa!
Wait!
No!” He tries to shift away from Jewel, but he is too slow.
Jewel had already jumped on the bed, hooking his arm around Gideon’s neck and pinning him down beside him.
“Keep quiet, Gideon, my head hurts, and my heart hurts,” Jewel murmured.
He fluffed the pillow below his head and comfortably positioned his head on it, sighing in relief.
Gideon was caged; he stared at Jewel’s face and frowned; his heart hurt.
Was he really going through a breakup?
Even if he was, why did he have to act as his solace?
They weren’t even friends to start with.
“Just let go, you can sleep on the bed,” He tried to remove Jewel’s hand but failed.
Jewel tightened his arm around Gideon’s neck, so to keep air flowing through his lungs, Gideon had to relax, silently accepting his miserable fate for the day.
“My heart so much…
my goldfish died,” Jewel whispered.
“What?” Gideon asked in disbelief; so he had to bear all this just because of some insignificant goldfish?
