Chapter 191: Chapter 191 Chapter 191: Chapter 191 Tomorrow was Mr.
Sloan’s birthday; the hall was evidently busy as Ariel walked around, checking if everything was done how it was supposed to be.
It wasn’t in Aiden’s company this time; it was in Mr.
Sloan’s home; he had a very large hall where he normally held parties and galas in the past.
However, when Aiden and Ariel had come to check out the venue, they weren’t satisfied with how it looked.
It looked abandoned, it’s not been in use for many years since Mr.
Sloan left to travel the world by sea.
“I think the chandeliers will be just fine how they’ve placed them,” Ariel said to Aiden, who was demanding that the renovation company they hired remove the chandeliers and place them in different positions.
Aiden frowned, “Are you sure?
Don’t you think they should take it father to the front?” He asked.
Ariel shook her head, “I think they’re perfect, Aiden; stop being anxious; he’ll love what we’ve done for him, trust me,” She held his hand, smiling reassuringly.
“Fine, if you say so,” Aiden sighed, “You can go fix other things,” He said to the staff waiting on his order.
“Yes, Mr.
Chaz,” They replied and walked away, going to do many other things that needed their attention.
“Look how this place is being transformed; it’s already looking spectacular; by the time they’re done, the place will look so sophisticated, and Dad will definitely love it, trust me,” Ariel patted Aiden’s arm.
Aiden nodded, “Yeah, I believe you, I guess I’m just feeling anxious for nothing.
It’s just that I feel like I’m not doing something right, as if something is going to happen, something bad,” He looked at her, gently fixing a stray hair behind her ear.
Ariel hummed, “Don’t worry, it’s just your nerves,” She tippednjer toes and kissed his cheeks.
She knew it wasn’t just nerves; his gut feeling was accurately informing him of what was about to happen.
Tomorrow could just be labeled as the best day of her life; she couldn’t wait for it to come already.
“Come, you’ve been standing for a long time, let’s go grab something to eat,” He held her hand and led her out of the busy hall.
“Leaving?” Ken asked as he saw them walking toward the door.
“Yeah, going to eat, want to join?” Ariek asked him.
“No, he can’t, he’ll stay right here and supervise the work,” Aiden replied.
“Of course, I’m supervising the work…
I don’t get laid enough for this, Aiden,” Ken sighed, sitting back on the floor.
Ariel chuckles, “I’ll get you something yummy, I promise,” She told him.
“You don’t get laid enough, how about you take over my companies?” Aiden raised a brow at Ken.
“Really?
I’d love that, where do we sign the papers?” Ken asked excitedly.

“In your dreams,” Aiden replied and led Ariel out of the hall.
Ken scoffed, “Even in my dream, you wouldn’t still let me have your company,” He muttered.
Outside, Ariel was smiling as they walked toward the water fountain.
Audrn saw her smile and pinched her cheeks, “What?
Thinking about me?” He teased.
Ariel chuckled, “You’re in my thoughts all the time, but this time, I’m thinking of how lucky we are to have each other and everyone around us.
I just want you to know that no matter what happens, I’ll always be here for you, and you should know that your family loves you, Grandma Nari loves you, she was just thinking of what might be the best option for you, as you can see, she had apologized the monster realized her mistakes,” She hugged his arm.
Aiden was quiet, they had stopped beside the water fountain, watching the shiny and sparkling water sprouting out from the mouth of the eagle’s statue and pouring into the pool.
“I hear you,” Aiden replied and suddenly scooped water in his palm and splashed it on Ariel’s face.
“No!” Ariel shouted, glaring at Adyen.
“Aiden Chaz!
You did not just splash that cold water on my face!” Ariel wiped the water off her face with her hands.
Aiden was chuckling, enjoying the cute anger she was displaying.
“Don’t make a fuss out of nothing; it was just a little splash – hey!” Aiden immediately covered his face with his hands as Ariel started to continuously threaten his face and body.
He started to back away from her but Ariel followed him, retaliating a double fold.
“I’m sorry, Ariel,” Aiden laughed.
Ariel thought Aiden was being honest with his apology and decided to stop her attack, but she regretted it immediately.
“Ahh!
Aiden, don’t!” She screamed as Auden unexpectedly ran toward her and lifted her off the floor, speedily carrying her toward the fountain, planning to throw her inside it.
“Aiden!
No!
Someone help!” She shouted, wrapping her legs around Aiden’s waist, her arms holding tightly around his neck too.
“Stop?” He asked her, smirking.
Ariel nodded vigorously, “Yes, Baby, don’t do this, you said you loved me, right?
Then don’t throw me inside the water, please – Ahhh!” Splash!
Ariel fell inside the pool of the fountain, closing her eyes for a moment as the water fell on top of her head.
“What the fuck?” Aiden suddenly muttered beside her.
Ariel snapped her eyes open and saw him sitting beside her in the pool, she immediately burst out laughing.
She happily hugged him and kept laughing, “This is love, baby, we do things together, willingly or not,” She laughed.
Aiden wanted to light but held his laughter back; he never expected Ariel to draw him on with her; he had wanted to bully her, and now he was reaping the fruit of being evil.
“You’re so evil,” He glared at Ariel, trying to push her off of him.
“No, baby, you’re so evil, and this is a lesson for you to start turning a new leaf,” She kissed his cheek, laughing softly.
“What going on here?” Mr.
Sloan asked, tilting his head to the side and observing the two adults playing silly in the fountain like kids.
“It’s a shame, Dad,” Ken said as he went and turned off the water.
“Adults still behave like kids at times,” Ken said, standing beside Mr.
Sloan and staring at the couple sitting in the fountain and looking like kids who were caught doing something very naughty.
“Come on,” Aiden held Ariel’s hand and helped her to stand up.
“Thank you,” Ariel’s cheeks were flushed, she didn’t look at Mr.
Sloan, embarrassed by their actions.
“Careful,” Mr.
Dlson helped Ariel get down from the fountain.
“Thanks, Dad,” She said.
“What are you doing?
Get out of my fountain, Aiden,” Mr.
Sloan glared at Aiden, who was holding out his hand to his father to also help him get out of the fountain.
He slowly withdrew his hand when he saw that no one was willing to help him out.
“Even you, you’re supposed to be my best friend,” Aiden frowned at Ken as he stood beside him.
“You refused to give me your company,” Ken shrugged.
“What the hell did you two think you were doing?
Does my fountain look like a good spot for playing?” He frowned.
Ariel glanced at Aiden, “No, Dad, it’s Aiden; he was trying to drop me inside the fountain and somehow managed to fall in with me,” She complained.
“How childish; what would Jace think’d he saw his parents behaving like kids?” Mr.
Slaon asked.
“He’d think were cool, Dad -” “Be quiet and take her to dry up.
I don’t know what she sees in you, if I were a woman, I would never look your way twice, so unserious,” Mr.
Sloan muttered.
“Trust me, Dad, if you were a woman, I’d be gay,” Aiden smirked at his father.
“What?!
Aiden, come back here and explain what you’ve just said,” Mr.
Slaon pointed at Aiden’s and Ariel’s retreating figures, fuming in anger.
“Don’t pay mind to his words, Dad.
That’s his way of saying he loves you,” Ken patted the man’s back.
Mr.
Sloan sighed, he glared at Auden one last time before walking away, leaving Ken beside the fountain.
Ken blinked slowly, “I think it’s quite cool, too,” he muttered and walked away.
Ken wished he would one day act silly with someone too, maybe that someone would be Jess…
he knew he might never see her again, but he’d wait; he’d keep waiting until nature brought them together again.
He was such a fool, hurting a woman who genuinely loved him, good women were hard to come by these days, and now, he’d lost the one he once had.
He would always live in regret for the rest of his life, only an apology to Jess could free him from his mental slavery.
Inside the house, Aiden led Ariel to his childhood room, where they would change the clothes the maid would bring them.
“This is my room,” He told her as he closed the door behind them.
Ariel paused in front of the room, staring around, “It’s just a bed and a wardrobe,” She said quietly.
Auden nodded and walked behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Yeah, I moved, remember?” He whispered.
Ariel nodded in realization, “Yeah, to Grandma Nari’s,” “Mmm…
this room…” He paused.
Ariel turned to face him, “Enough about the bad memories…” She caresses his face, tracing her fingers over the shell of his ear, “Let’s make some spicy memories, one that would outweigh the previous one, what do you say?” She brought his hand up to her chest, placing it over her breast.
Aiden smirked, “I’d be a fool to refuse,” He whispered and kissed her in fervor.
