Chapter 198: Chapter 198 Chapter 198: Chapter 198 Aiden was stupified as he watched he’s his wide hugging another man excitedly in front of him.
He went to drag her back to his side but Ken held him back, “Don’t,” He told Aiden.
“Don’t?
Really?
Why does it feel like every man is attracted to my wife, you, him, and now him,” He pointed to Mike, who was smiling happily at Ariel.
“Chill, man, you’re just being jealous; you know Ariel will never look at another man, and I’ve been over Ariel for years now; it’s your cousin I want,” Ken winked at him.
Aiden glared at him, “I don’t have to get angry; you can’t even get a hold of her; how can you have her,” Aiden scoffed and walked away from Ken.
Ken bjt his lips in frustration, “Fair enough…” “Oh my God, Mike, I’m so, so, happy to see you again!
What are you doing here?” Ariel asked, smiling unstoppable.
Mike pointed to Jasper, who was discussing with Logan, “I’m his P.A,” He informed Ariel gasped in surprise, “Really?
Since when?” She looked from Jasper to Mike.
“Um, for two years,” Mike provided.
“Awesome, that means I get to see you more often,” She told him.
Mike nodded, “So, how about you, I saw you up on the stage…
your life must have turned pretty adventurous after you left me in the hospital with the promise of visiting every day,” He sounded sad.
Ariel sighed, “I’m sorry, Mike…
like you said, my life turned pretty adventurous the moment I got home.
It’s a long story, but I know that I got kidnapped, one thing led to the other, and here I am today; maybe we could catch up over some coffee some other time?
Trust me, I always thought of you, but I never had a way to contact you, plus, I was now in another state, and I never thought I’d see you again, your guilt was always with me -” “Hey, don’t get started on that,” Mike chuckled.
“It’s alright, look,” He pointed to his leg, “my leg is fine now, and I can run a marathon, whoever paid our hospital bill back then was an angel, he paid for the best treatments, and that what I got, if it were to be left for me, I’d have probably cut my leg off,” He said.
Ariel smiled broadly and turned to look at Aiden, “Come here baby,” She waved him over.
Aiden’s face looked reluctant, but he went to her; he didn’t want to get acquainted with another of Ariel’s wannabe lovers.
“Yes?” He answered as he stood beside her, taking her hand in his.
Mike already knew who he was, and Arie had already told the woman the word that she was her husband, she knew before she even introduced him.
“This is, Aiden, my husband.
Baby, this is Mike, my old friend, the one you thought was my boyfriend, remember?” She asked.
The two men looked confused; Mike knew Ariel was never his girlfriend; he’d never even summoned the courage to ask her, so where did Mr.
Chaz get that idea from?
He’d never even met Mr.
Chaz in person apart from today.

“What are you talking about?” Aiden asked.
Ariel sighed, “He’s the one that rode into your car…
you know, you took both of us to the hospital that night, four years ago?” She reminded.
“What?” Mike muttered, staring at Aiden in disbelief.
“I see,” Aiden simply replied.
“Ariel…
you mean, Mr.
Chaz is the one?” Mike questioned.
Ariel nodded, “Yes, he laid for our medical bills that night,” She smiled.
Mike took a deep breath and bowed his head to Aiden, “Thank you, Mr.
Cahz; I’ve always wished to find you and appreciate your help; I’m forever indebted to you; if not for you, I wouldn’t have my leg, thank you so much,” He appreciated.
Aiden looked uncomfortable, “Is this necessary, Moma?” He whispered.
Ariel frowned, “Be nice,” She nudged him.
Aiden sighed, “It’s alright, Mike, just…
just leave your life, you don’t owe me…
it was nice seeing you, but we really have to leave, it’s late already,” He nodded at Mike and gently tugged Ariel’s hand.
“Uh, of course, I’ll see you later, Ariel,” Mike waved.
Ariel smiled at him, “Yes, see you later; feel free to get my contact from Jasper,” She waved as Aiden slowly started to walk away while holding her hand.
“Goodnight, Ariel,” Ken said as he saw them entering their car.
“Goodnight, Ken,” Ariel said before Aiden closed the door, blocking everyone from seeing her.
“Goodnight,” Aiden said to Jasper before he got in the car and drove off.
“What a night,” Ariel sighed loudly and fell back against the chair, closing her eyes.
Aiden glanced at her and smiled; he was happy; he could feel that their life was about to get better, and they could finally live like normal people do.
“Ariel,” He called quietly.
“Mm?” Ariel answered without opening her eyes.
“I love you,” He said in a smooth voice.
Ariel smiled, opening her eyes and looking at him, “I love you, Aiden,” She blew him a kiss.
Aiden smiled, “I mean it, Ariel…
I love you, like love you so much,” He chuckled quietly, shaking his head because he knew that words couldn’t explain how he was feeling.
Ariel reached her hand and patted his thigh, “How about you hurry up so you can show me just how much you love me…
where words fail, actions speak louder,” She suggested in a sexy voice.
Aiden glanced at her, his eyes shining with anticipation, “As you command, Moma,” He stepped on the pedal and hurried home.
Tonight might be over for everyone, but not for them, Aiden was going to make sure they stayed away till dawn.
For the first time since he got married to Ariel, he felt completely at peace with no one and nothing lurking around to disrupt their love.
*** Gideon was searching for Jewel; everyone was gone except Mr.
Sloan and Grandma Nari with their maids; this was their home, so they weren’t expected to leave.
But Jewel should leave, and Gideon was very sure he hadn’t left.
He had seen Jewel sometime in the hall drinking with a group of men, and when he had asked Jewel to stop drinking and get going with him, he had asked Guden to wait a little bit while he celebrated their victory tonight.
Fast forward to an hour later, he could no longer find Jewel, and he was tired of searching.
He wasn’t Jewel’s parent or guardian, so he wasn’t responsible for him; even if he was, Jewel was a grown-ass man to know what he was doing.
With that thought, he entered his car and drove out of the compound.
However, he had only managed to drive past Mr.
Sloan’s mansion when he immediately stopped his car in front of the next block.
He thought his eyes were deceiving him, but when he looked longer, he was sure that the man being pressed against a car by a much taller man was Jewel.
It didn’t look violent, it just looked like the man was whispering something into Jewel’s ear, and he was easily nodding his head.
He was drunk.
Gideon frowned.
He wanted to face front and keep driving, but he couldn’t; he knew Jewel was drunk and wasn’t conscious of his action.
He sighed and got out of his car, quietly walking over to Jewel.
“Hey,” He gently tapped the shoulder of the man whispering to Jewel.
The man turned and frowned at Gideon, “Who are you?” He asked.
“Um, I’m his -” “I don’t know him; let’s go,” Jewel interrupted and held onto the man’s hand, but Gideon grabbed his other hand.
“Jewel, we need to go home, you’re drunk,” Gideon reasoned.
“Hey, he said he doesn’t know you, what if you’re planning to kidnap him?” The man asked, removing Gideon’s hand from Jewel.
“This is ridiculous.
Look, I’m his friend, I just want to get him home safe because I drove him out here, if anything happens I’m going to be held accountable, so, just let me the him back, I can even give you his contact so you can contact him tomorrow morning when he’s probably sobbed.
For tonight, just let me -” “No, I’m done staying with you, I’m going home, my home,” Jewel leaned against the car, frowning and pouting.
The man sighed, “You heard him, don’t worry, he already gave me his address, I’ll take him home,” He said to Gideon.
Gideon clenched his jaws, he just wanted to go home.
“So you can go home now, huh?
How about the story of the ghost of goldfish?” He questioned.
Jewel giggled, “Don’t worry, I’ll have a company with me, so I won’t be bothered by it.
It’s none of your business, Mr.
Gideon, go home, your boring home.
Let’s go,” He held the man’s hand and dragged him to the driver’s seat.
“Enter, I’ll be right beside you,” He staggered over to the passenger’s seat and got in, not sparing Gideon a glance.
Gideon watched the car drive away from him.
He sighed, “True, it’s none of my business…
what a waste of my time,” He angrily walked back to his car.
He should have just minded his business in the first place.
