Billionaire's Contracted & Unloved Wife - Chapter 206
Chapter 206: Chapter 206
Jess didn’t expect Ariel to welcome her with a warm hug, but so far, Ariel had been nothing but welcoming.
“So, hugs are only for the females?” Viktor asked.
Ariel chuckled, “You’re okay,” She smirked at him.
“Yeah, it’s a female thingy,” Jess rolled her eyes.
“Since you guys are here, maybe you can join us to go free Moon,” Ariel mentioned.
Jess shared a look with Viktor.
“What do you mean? Free Moon?” Jess asked, frowning.
Ariel nodded, “Do you think I shouldn’t, Viktor?” She questioned.
Viktor was quiet for a while, “It’s none of my business if she’s locked behind bars or not,” He replied.
Ariel nodded, “True,”
“Well, if you ask me, I’d say leave her there for the rest of her life. She would definitely cause more trouble if she’s released,” Jess shrugged.
Ariel smiled, “You don’t have to worry about that. The family has legally disowned her; she has no business coming close to anyone anymore. Aiden was kind enough to rent a small apartment for her, she will have to find a job and pay the rent herself, of course.”
“Hmm… I still don’t trust Moon, she’s so evil,” Jess frowned.
“All I care about is my daughter… where is she, Ariel?” Viktor asked.
“She’s been staying with Grandma Nari from the night Moon got arrested… you can go to her if you want, or do you want to go free Moon with us?” Ariel already knew his answer before asking.
“Fuck Moon, I don’t have any business with her. She’s not even going to be allowed near my daughter. I’ll see you guys around,” Viktor said and turned to walk out of the house.
“You don’t want to see Aiden?” Ariel asked.
Viktor scoffed, “Nope, was just here to see you, not some boring human,” He waved as he left the house.
“Boring and annoying,” Jess muttered.
“Ah, I see you have a resentment for your cousin,” Ariel pointed out with a smile.
Jess shrugged, lowering herself on a couch, “Obviously… I did warn Aiden about Moon, but he chose to be blind; he chose to believe in an adopted child over his own blood. He failed to open his eyes and see how manipulating Moon was. You know, I kinda wish you never got back with him, I wanted him to suffer in loneliness, and probably die in loneliness, maybe in his next life, he’d learn to read between the lines and listen to advice,” She folded her arms and scowled, recalling how hard she tried to warn Aiden about Moon in the past.
“Resentment and grudges will make you grow older, dear cousin,” Aiden walked into the living room, Jace in his arms.
Jess was surprised to see Aiden; she wasn’t expecting him to appear out of nowhere. “It’s good you heard, Aiden, it’s all true,” She replied.
Aiden gently dropped Jace and stretched his hand out to Jess, “Missed you,” He smiled.
Jess slowly took Aiden’s hand and allowed him to drag her up and wrap his arms around her.
“I still don’t like you,” Jess whispered.
“It’s alright, as long as you’re back to us, you’ll learn to love me again,” He kissed her forehead.
“Eww, gross, stop that,” Jess pushed him away, trying her best not to let her smile show, but she failed.
“How sweet. Sweetheart, this is your aunt, Jessica, but you can call her Jess,” Ariel introduced Jess to Jace.
“I know her, she said she’s your friend, too,” Jace spoke, looking at Jess.

Ariel nodded, “Yes, baby, she is; she can also be your friend; she likes to play, just like you,” She smirked when she saw Jess’ alarmed face.
“Really? Jess, is that true?” Jace asked, moving closer to Jess and falling excitedly between her laps.
Jess smiled, ‘So you only come to me if I’m playful, huh,’ she thought.
“Sure, little Jace, you’ve got yourself the most playful aunt in the whole world,” She ruffled his hair.
“Then you can follow me up to my room?” Jace questioned, looking up at her with his cute round eyes.
“Uh, now?” Jess scratched the back of her head, silently sending Ariel a signal for help.
“Not now, sweetheart. Remember, we’re going somewhere; you don’t have to worry; Jess is coming with us, too,” Ariel said, patting Jace’s head.
“You’re coming too?” Jace asked.
Jess nodded, “Sure, and you tell me all about your awesome toys, deal?” She shook his little hands.
“Deal!” Jace chuckled.
Jess couldn’t help chuckling at how the boy got duper excited over little things, that was the purity of children.
Her mind went to Moon, she wondered if Moon had been evil from childhood, or was she once a cute and pure soul like Jace?
How did she turn out that way?
“Then let’s go,” Aiden said and gently took Ariel’s hand.
“This was your idea, baby, let’s hope we don’t regret it,” He said in a quiet voice.
“We won’t,” She replied.
Jess sat behind the car with Jace, listening carefully to his explanations about his toys. She couldn’t believe she was being schooled by a toddler, but she didn’t complain; she paid attention to him and even asked him a few questions.
“We’ll be reaching in thirty minutes,” Aiden announced from the driver’s seat.
“Sweetheart, you’ll wait for us in the car while we speak to someone, okay?” Ariel looked behind to speak to Jace.
“Okay, Mummy,” Jace nodded.
The car soon parked in front of a prison facility, and Aiden killed the engine.
“So, we’re just going to wait?” Jess asked.
Aiden nodded, “Not really; she will soon be out,” He replied.
He opened the car and got out of it. “Come on, Moma, let’s go,” he said to Ariel.
“Jess, you coming?” Ariel asked as she left the car.
“Yeah. Hey, buddy, I’ll be right back, okay?” She patted Jace’s head.
“I’ll be right here, you can go,” He waved to her.
Jess smiled and left the car.
They walked toward the facility and saw Moon being led out by an officer; she looked so lean and unkempt, her underbag eyes glared at them from the distance.
The officer opened the gates and allowed Moon to walk out first.
She had her face lowered as she saw the people waiting for her outside the gates, shame couldn’t let her lift her face to look at them.
“Good day, Mr. Chaz. Thank you for keeping to time, but she let us know that she doesn’t want to be released,” the officer informed.
Aiden looked at Ariel, “Then you can take her back,” He shrugged.
“No, honey, it’s way easier for her to stay in there and not fa e we karma; we want her to come out and leave as a nobody; that would be better,” Ariel replied, smirking at Moon.
“Then, if you insist, I guess we’re freeing her,” Aiden sighed.
“Thank you, officer, we’ll take it from here,” Aiden nodded and shook the officer’s hand.
The officer bowed his head and walked back into the prison facility, leaving Moon to face her nemesis.
Jess walked forward when she saw that the officer had left, “Hi, Moon,” She smiled at her.
Moon didn’t respond, she twisted her fingers together in front of her, taking a step back.
“Ah, can’t speak now? You know? I did tell you that your actions will catch up on you, didn’t I? How does it feel to lose everything you’ve worked for? All those evil schemes to become Aiden’s wife, your manipulations, lies… guess all those didn’t end up as planned,” Jess laughed.
“Ah, it feels so good; now I don’t regret coming back; I get to see you miserable and useless. It’s a tough world out there, how are you going to survive without the Chaz family name? Without their funding? I see you struggling, working through your nose just to meet up, nine to five, and still no reasonable pay -”
“Stop! Please, stop,” Moon shouted, she turned her head to Ariel, tears staining her cheeks.
“Please, Ariel, take me back in there; I can’t, I can’t live like this, please, I beg you, let me go back in there,” She fell on her knees and tried to reach for Ariel’s leg, but Ariel stepped away from her touch.
“Stop being dramatic, Moon; I let you out because of your daughter; I’m not as heartless as you are; I can’t separate a mother from her child. So, pick yourself up, and be the mother your child needs. Look, the car’s here to take you to your new apartment,” Ariel pointed to the small car that was slowly pulling up to them.
“I paid for the first month, Moon, you have to find a job to continue your rent,” Aiden wrapped his arm around Ariel’s waist and pulled her away.
“Mrs. Chaz, the car is here, who am I taking away?” The shirt driver asked.
Jess pointed to Moon, who was crying on the floor, “There she is; take her to the new reality. Groe a par, Moon, get up and start living, for once,” She said with a scowl.
Moon slowly stood, wiping her tears. She looked at Aiden and Ariel, “I’m sorry,” She said.
“It doesn’t matter, Moon,” Ariel replied, holding Aiden’s hand and walking back to their car.
