Chapter 215: Chapter 215
Jess and Jewel parked their cars and eagerly got out of it.
“Damn, girl! Look at this place, why haven’t you ever mentioned it to me?” Jewel asked as he stared at be whole beach and all the beautiful houses built some distance from it.
“Welcome to La Playa,” Jess said with a smile.
“Hell yes! Let’s go,” He held her hand and dragged her toward the beach.
“Hang on, where do you think you’re going?” Jess laughed.
“That way,” Jewel pointed to a tall building.
Jess shook her head, “No, silly, it’s the other way, and the club is hidden. Come, I’ll show you,” She took his hand and led him in the opposite direction.
They walked through the path between two tall buildings before Jewel gasped as he saw an underground building hiding behind them.
“This crazy, I’d never had known,” Jewel smiled.
“The elevator ride is fun, too,” Jess led him toward the door.
“Evening, Jess, long time,” The security in front of her door greeted Jess.
“You think we can still have fun down there?” She smiled at the security.
“Absolutely, go right in with your friend,” The security replied and opened the door for them.
“Thank you, handsome,” Jewel winked at him before entering through the door.
“Behave, he’s on duty,” Jess narrowed her eyes at Jewel.
“I know, hey, where do we go from here?” Jewel asked, looking around the place.
“O told you the elevator was crazy,” Jess smiled.
“Huh, this is an elevator, press on that,” She pointed to a single black button on the wall.
“Okay…” Jewel replied and skeptically pressed the button.
“Holy shit!” He hugged a laughing Jess tightly, screaming as the elevator lowered in speed.
Soon, it came to a smooth stop, but his legs were shaking by then, “You evil witch!” He slapped Ariel’s arm.
“You could have warned me!” He glared at her.
Jess laughed, tears coming out of her eyes, “I did warn you; I told you the elevator was crazy; oh my God, Jewel, you were so…” She kept laughing.
The elevator slid open and Jewel turned his attention to the source of the blaring music; she held his hand, “Come on, you’ll forget your sorrows in the next second,” She dragged him into the club.
“Damn! This place is lit as fuck!” Jewel shouted beside Jess, forgetting his elevator episode as he stared at the very large club; as expected, people were already wilding on the dance floor, and the bar was filled up, as well as the booths.
“Drink?!” Jess asked.
“Yes!” Jewel nodded.
They made their way toward the bar, luckily finding a space to fix themselves.
“What do you want?” Jess asked.
“I don’t care, as long as it’s strong!” Jewel replied.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Jess nodded and proceeded to order their drinks.
Jewel was lost looking around the whole place, he realized there seemed to be a passage at the very end of the room.
“Hey, what’s over there?” Jewel tapped Jess’ shoulder.
“VIP, wanna go?” She asked.
Jewel immediately shook his head, taking his drink from Jess, “No way, boring. I like here better,” He downed the drink in one go.
“More,” He smiled at her.
Jess chuckled and followed his footsteps, pouring her drink down her throat in one gulp, “Challange accepted,” She ordered some more drinks and more drinks after more drinks.
A few more drinks later, they were officially drunk.
“Hahaha! I think he’s checking out!” Jewel shouted as they danced carefree on the dance floor.
“You think?! I think he’s staring at you!” She held his shoulder with one hand and danced, her drunk perfectly balanced in the other hand.
“Should we find out who he’s looking at?” An evil smirk appeared on Jewel’s face.
Jess sipped her drink and nodded, “Let’s do it,” She laughed.
They hooked their arms together and walked toward the handsome man staring at them from a booth.
“Hey,” Jewel smiled at the guy as they stopped beside his booth.
“Hey,” The man stood, offering Jewel a handshake.
Jess shook his hand before Jewel could touch him, “Hi, handsome, we were just wondering, who are you interested in, me or him?” She asked boldly.
The man chuckled, “You’re a beautiful woman, but I’m gay,” he sent Jewel a meaningful look as he said the last part.
“I knew it, you lucky bastard; the gay ones are always the finest,” She hit Jewel’s arm and frowned.
Jewel smiled at the man, “Then, do you want to dance?” He stepped away from Jess and went over to the man.
“Sure,” he took Jewel’s hand and led him to the dance floor.
“Traitor,” Jess frowned and followed them behind.
She wasn’t going to give them some space until she also found a man for herself. She eyed them suspiciously as the man wrapped his arms around Jewel’s waist whispering something into his ear and making him laugh.
She huffed, dancing close to them and keeping an eye on them
“I’m Lucas, what’s your name?” The man asked.
Jewel wrapped his arms around the man’s neck, “Not telling, it’s just going to be a one-night stand, you don’t need my name,” He winked at Lucas.
Lucas chuckled, “Fine… as long as I take you home, who knows, you might want more,” He whispered.
An idea suddenly popped into Jewel’s mind: he was going to try his luck again… for the last time, and if Gideon didn’t respond as he should, he’d cut him off for real.
“You think you have what it takes to make me want more?” Jewel leaned closer to Lucas’ face.
Lucas nodded, “Try me,” he replied.
Jewel was about to say something when Jess tapped his shoulder, “Who’s hotter?” She pointed at two guys beside her.
Jewel chuckled, “They’re both hot-”
“Jewel…” She called in warning.
“Fine, theft one, he’s got the sauce,” He winked at her.
Jess smiled and hooked her arm around the hot guy, “Sorry, bro, I chose him,” She waved at the other guy and pushed him away.
“Let’s dance,” She announced and danced with her partner beside Jewel.
“So, where were we?” Lucas asked, drawing Jewel closer.
“Right here,” Jewel leaned in and kissed Lucas briefly on the lips, secretly raising his free hand to take a picture of him kissing Lucas.
“Woah, that was spontaneous, want to go somewhere quiet?” Lucas’ voice was dripping with lust.
“Eager, are we? Chill, the night is still young; I’ll be right back,” He smiled at Lucas.
“Hey,” Lucas caught Jewel’s arm, “Running away?” Je raised a brow at him.
Jewel shook his head, “No, I just wanted to use the restroom, you can wait over there,” He pointed at the booth Lucas had previously occupied.
“Don’t take too long,” Lucas kissed Jewel’s lips before walking back to his booth.
Jewel hurried over to the restroom and took out his phone, smirking as he sent the picture where he was kissing Lucas to Gideon, tagging his location to it.
He smirked when he saw the three dots below his screen which meant that Gideon was typing.
He waited for Gideon’s message to show but he suddenly stopped typing, causing the dots to go away.
Jewel’s hope withered, ‘So he genuinely doesn’t care,’ he thought sadly.
He was about to leave the restroom when Gideon’s call came in, causing his pulse to race.
He stared at his phone before he answered, not speaking.
“Hello? Jewel, hello? Can you hear me?” Gideon’s worried voice asked from the speaker.
Jewel bit his lips, looking around the restroom and contemplating if he should speak.
“I know you can hear me, Jewel; I’m coming to take you home, just… just stay away from whoever that is, okay?” Gideon’s asked through the phone.
Jewel smiled triumphantly; he ended the call without replying; he’d wait for Gideon to come, but he wasn’t staying away from Lucas; he wanted to see Gideon’s full reaction.
Outside the club, Jewel walked over to Lucas’ booth and saw Jess sitting at the bar with her temporary man, feeding each other drink after drink.
“Are you okay?” Lucas stood and held Jewel’s hand.
Jewel nodded, “Yeah, wanna dance more?” He asked seductively.
“How about we go home?” Lucas’ hand tightened around Jewel.
Jewel felt a little scared, but he kept his cool; Lucas must have had too much to drink; he, too, was drunk, but he could still control his emotions.
“Just one more dance, and we’ll get going,” He smiled at Lucas and led him back to the dance floor.
As they danced, he slowly moved them close to the bar where he then started to feed Lucas glass after glass of alcohol.
“Enough, we… we should go,” He grabbed Jewel’s hand and wanted to leave, but Jess stumbled on his feet and pushed him away.
“He said no, Lulu, leave him alone,” She pointed a wobbly finger at Lucas.
“Hey, girlie, let’s have some fun,” The guy Jess had been drinking with suddenly wrapped his arms around her from behind and whispered in her ear.
Jess was disgusted, “Ugh, no, I’m done, I’m living,” She pushed him away but her strength failed her as she was now very dunk.
The guy laughed behind her, “Look, your friend seemed to be enjoying himself, let’s get busy too,” He suggested lewdly.
Jess looked at Jewel and got anxious, Lucas was forcefully holding him, placing kisses around his neck.
“Leave me a-”
“Shut the fuck up, you little bitch, you clearly found me sexy, now follow me to the restroom let me give it to you,” He covered his hand over her mouth and dragged her toward the restroom.
Jess tried to call out to Jewel for help but the music was too loud, and Lucas also seemed to get giving him a hard time.
Jess thought of what to do and bit down hard on the guy’s hand.
“Fuck, you little – Ughh!!!” The guy’s head banged forcefully on the edge of the wall; his body fell to the floor instantly as blood rushed out from the side of his eyes that was now cut from the hit.
“She said she’s not interested,” Ken walked over and stood menacingly in front of the guy, drawing an unsteady Jess into his arms.
