Chapter 216: Chapter 216
“Are you alright?” Ken asked as he placed one of Jess’ arms around his neck.
Jess held him tightly, “Thank you for saving me, Mr. Hero,” she poked his cheeks, wrapping her other hand around his waist.
“I’m taking you home, Jess,” Ken said and started to lead Jess toward the exit.
“No! Jewel is right there, we need to get him too,” Jess pointed toward Jewel’s direction.
“He’s not our problem, Gideon’s got him,” He said and carried Jess up, taking her into the elevator.
“Bye, Jewel,” Jess giggled, waving at Jewel as the elevator slid closed.
Still in the club, Jewel was trying to get away from Lucas, the kisses he felt on his neck made him feel nauseous and irritated him.
“S-stop, Lucas, I need to leave,” He held Lucas’ shoulder and pushed him away gently.
“Stop, you’re drunk,” Jewel said to Lucas, stepping back slowly.
“Don’t be shy, Cute boy, you came to me, remember? And you’re in luck tonight; I’m in a generous mood to give pleasure to strangers; you’re exactly my dream come true, Jewel; stop being stubborn and come home with me,” Lucas chuckled, increasing his steps through the dancing crowd as he reached for Jewel.
‘Why the fuck am I drunk?’ Jewel asked himself angrily.
He pushed backward through the crowd, navigating away from Lucas. However, Lucas was catching up on his drunk ass, his eyes widened as Lucas’ hand reached out to grab him, causing him to jump back and bump right into someone.
“Oh, I’m so – Gideon?” He called in surprise.
Gideon didn’t speak; he simply stepped in front of Jewel and held Lucas’ street he’d hand that was reaching for Jewel.
“Thank you for taking care of my boyfriend, I’ll take him home now,” Gideon said to Lucas with a straight face.
“Boyfriend?” Lucas halted, staring at Jewel behind Gideon.
Gideon simply nodded and placed a hand on Jewel’s lower back.
“Then… I’m sorry, I didn’t know he had a boyfriend,” Lucas apologized and sped back, leaving them alone.
Gideon turned to look at Jewel, “Let’s go,” He grabbed Jewel’s hand and dragged him out of the club.
“Hey, easy! My leg!” Jewel drew his hand away from Gideon’s hand as his leg got stuck into the beach sand.
Gideon paused and looked at Jewel, his face unreadable, “Do you want to go back in there?” He asked.
Jewel blinked, “What do you mean?”
“Walk, Jewel. You’re awake tonight, I’m taking you to your house,” Gideon said and turned away.
Jewel hurried to catch up with Gideon, feeling his limbs wobbling from how drunk he was.
They reached Gideon’s car and Jewel was surprised to see Gideon walk past his car, heading toward his.
“Hey, what are you doing?” He tapped Gideon’s shoulder, frowning.
“Your car?” He leaned on the door, folding his hands.
“Your keys, Jewel. I’m taking you home with your car, I can get mine in the morning, your car keys,” Gideon said, his tone exposing his anger.
“No, we’re going to your place,” Jewel smirked, took put his car key from his pocket, and dangled it in his fingers.
“Come get it if you want it,” Jewel out the key in the front pocket of his pants.

Gideon stared at Jewel for some time, his eyes closing and fists balling.
He slowly stopped close to Jewel, placing one of his hands on the car beside Jewel. He moved his face closer to Jewel’s and stared right into his eyes.
“You’re drunk, Jewel… you almost got yourself in a messy situation, god knows what would have happened if I didn’t show up. Now, quit being a man-child and give me the damn key,” Gideon demanded.
Jewel blinked, his arms suddenly going around Gideon’s neck, “Are you worried?” He whispered.
Gideon sighed, “No, you sent me a location, I had to help you out since you’re already so drunk,” He replied, holding Jewel’s around his neck.
“I might be drunk, but I know jealousy and worry when I see it,” Jewel said, his lips just a whisper away from Gideon’s.
Gideon didn’t move away, he stood there, his eyes going from Jewel’s lips to his eyes, “Was that why you sent me the picture? To get me jealous?” He asked quietly.
Jewel nodded, “Are you?” His hot breath fanned Gideon’s face, his fingers finding their way into Gideon’s hair.
Gideon didn’t reply, he leaned closer, almost kissing Jewel, “The key,” He asked softly.
“No, I’m not – mm.” Jewel’s fingers tightened on Gideon’s hair, and his eyes widened in shock.
His heart completely stopped beating, and his breathing shortened.
Gideon kissed him, cutting him off from talking; his heart started pounding in his chest, and his lips became very sensitive as Gideon rendered a very soft kiss on them.
He was too shocked to respond.
“Can I have the keys now?” Gideon slid his hand into Jewel’s pants pocket and took the keys.
“Get in the car, Jewel,” Gideon ordered.
Jewel stood there, frozen in place.
Gideon had just kissed him, what does it mean?
He was startled when he heard the blaring horn behind him and stepped away from the car.
“Get in,” Gideon pointed to the opened door beside him.
Jewel nodded, walked over to the car, and got in.
“You see? It wasn’t that hard,” Gudeon leaned over to Jewel’s car and dragged his seat belt across his shoulder.
Jewel was still reeling from Gideon’s kiss, and having him close again made his little self-control snap.
Before Gideon could move back to his seat, Jewel held his arms, stopping him.
He raised a brow at Jewel, smirking, “What? Need something?” He placed a hand under his chin, raising his face to look at him.
Jewel opened and closed his mouth, no sound coming out.
“Mm, you’re not the only one good at the game, Jewel,” Gideon said and returned to his seat.
“You can sleep; I’ll wake you up when we get to your house; it’ll help give you some clarity,” Gideon ‘said and drove away.
Jewel didn’t sleep a wink.
He kept his eyes focused on Gideon throughout the whole ride, many thoughts going through his mind.
‘Was I assuming things or was it what I thought?’ Jewel thought quietly.
“Stop staring at me, I’m trying to focus, Jewel,” Gideon said, keeping his face on the road.
“Sorry,” Jewel muttered.
Gideon remained quiet, glancing at Jewel from time to time. Jewel was now staring out of the window to avoid looking at Gideon, but it didn’t stop his mind from thinking about why Gideon had kissed him.
“We’re here, your home,” Gideon stated, parking in front of a building.
“Okay…” Jewel responded and reluctantly got out of the car.
Gideon got out of the car as well and walked around it, toward Jewel.
“Here’s your car key. Goodnight,” He said, and he put the car key back into Jewel’s pocket, but Jewel didn’t let him withdraw his hand.
“Wait,” Jewel said, grabbing Gideon’s hand.
“What do you want, Jewel? I’ve brought you home, go get some sleep,” Gideon told him.
Jewel shook his head, “What about you? How are you getting home? It’s already so late… stay?” Jewel asked, panting quietly.
“Okay,” Gideon surprised Jewel by agreeing.
“Really?” Jewel asked.
Gideon shrugged, “You asked.” He tilted his head toward the building, “Are we going on or staying here for the rest of the night?” He questioned.
“Um, right, inside, let’s go, ” Jewel said and proceeded to walk toward the house.
Gideon took a deep breath before following Jewel onto his house.
He walked into the living room and saw Jewel standing beside the door, “I just want to lock the door,” He told Gideon.
Gideon simply nodded and walked farther in.
“Where do I sleep?” Gideon asked as he stood in the middle of the living room.
Jewel quickly walked across the living room and headed to a door, “Here,” He pointed to the door.
Gudeon walked over and opened the door, not entering the room, “Guest room?” Jebquestioned, looking at Jewel.
Jewel slowly nodded, “Yes, you don’t like it?” He asked.
“I don’t. You’ve never slept in my guest room,” Gideon closed the door.
“You don’t mind sleeping in my room?” Jewel asked, sontnjng flashing across his eyes.
“I don’t, why are you nervous? You’ve slept in mine,” Gideon stated.
“Come on, Jewel, I’m sleepy, let go,” He held Jewel’s hand, “Lead the way,” He smirked.
Jewel nodded, turning to walk to the other side of the living room, pushing open a door and leading Gideon inside it.
“Here it is,” Jewel said, removing his eyes from Gideon’s.
Gideon pushed the door closed, turning to see Jewel standing close to his front.
“You’re in my way,” Gideon stated.
“Sorry,” Jewel apoligized but didn’t clear his path.
Gideon moved forward, held Jewel’s hand and drew him into his arms, “You’re in my way,” He whispered against his lips.
Jewel licked his lips, “Sorry…” He whispered.
“Apology accepted,” Gideon replied, kissing him.
