Chapter 58: Chapter 58 Chapter 58: Chapter 58 Aiden forfeited his idea of going up his room and quickly walked back from the stairs.
“What do you mean, Helen?” He asked as he stood in front of the maid.
His face was calm, but his aura was scary and cold.
Helen stepped away from him, wringing her fingers together in fear.
“Everyone, leave, return to your duties,” Anna urged the servants, waving them away from the living room.
Gregory stood by the side of the living room, quietly observing.
“Sir, I was shopping for the kitchen restock when I heard a woman mention Madam’s name at the mall,” Helen started.
She saw that Aiden was not speaking.
He kept his eyes locked on her face, waiting for her to give him the information he wanted to hear.
Helen bit her lips before she continued.
“I didn’t recognize the woman, but she was with an older lady, and they were talking about kidnapping someone, I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but what I had wanted to buy was in the isle beside them, and when I got there, I saw the younger woman showing the older woman a picture of the madam on her phone and the older looked so bitter as she stared at the picture,” Helen narrated.
“They had seen me and lowered their voices, but I could still hear them, and I overheard the older woman saying she was going to send someone to kidnap Madam whenever she appeared near the company building,” Helen finished and went quiet, looking away from Aiden.
Aiden frowned, “When she gets near the company building?” Aiden asked, furrowing his brows.
“Yes, Mr.
Chaz,” Helen replied.
“And you couldn’t recognize any of them?” He asked slowly.
Helen nodded.
“But you did see the picture?” Aiden put his hands into his pockets.
“Yes.
I did,” Helen responded.
“Where was she in the picture?
Did you recognize the location?” He asked further.
“Yes, she was standing with Ms.
Jess in the company’s cafeteria,” Helen replied.
Aiden went quiet, his mind going back to the incident that happened at the cafeteria days ago.
The image of Abbey immediately came into his mind.
She should be the only one who could have such malicious intentions toward Ariel since she was the reason he fired her from the job.
Aiden looked toward Gregory, and the bodyguard immediately came forward.
“What do you need me to do, boss?” He asked respectfully.
“Look up the pictures of all the ladies working in my design department,” Aiden ordered.

Gregory nodded, “Yes, boss.” Gregory immediately brought out his phone and searched for the employees.
“Here it is, boss,” he handed Aiden the phone.
Aiden took it and scrolled through the pictures; he couldn’t find Abbey’s picture in the current employee’s pictures since he’d fired her.
But he easily found it in the blacklisted part.
He turned the phone to Helen and asked, “Was this the person you saw?” Helen moved closer and took a look at the picture, her eyes immediately brightening in recognition.
“Yes, yes, it’s her, I recognize her face,” Helen nodded vigorously.
Aidens face darkened, he felt an indescribable vengeance overtake him.
Abbey had just chosen the wrong person to play with.
Kidnap his wife?
He’ll see about that.
“Thank you, Helen, you can go,” He nodded at the maid.
Helen bowed and immediately scurried away before the living room.
Aiden returned the phone to Gregory.
“Find her before today runs out.
You know where to take her,” he ordered Gregory bowed and immediately left the house.
Aiden grew anxious.
He knew Ariel was riding with Moon, but he just wanted to see her before his mind could be at rest.
He was about to call Moon and find out why they were taking so long, but the front door was pushed open, and Ariel stepped into the house.
His eyes immediately glued on her body, and he didn’t even realize it when he started to walk toward her.
“Ariel, are you okay?” He questioned as he went and held her arm, scanning his eyes over her body.
“I’m fine, Aiden, Excuse me, I need to-” “Aiden!
I got you a recovery gift!” Moon barged into the house and subtly fixed herself between Aiden and Ariel.
Ariel scoffed quietly and quietly walked away.
“Ariel-” “Look!
This is the latest Gucci wristwatch; it’s just your style,” Moon grabbed Aiden’s hand when he tried to walk toward Ariel.
Aiden sighed and looked at Moon.
“It’s quite thoughtfully of you, Moon.
But you have to go back to your house for now; I have some things I want to do,” Aiden took the little box from her and turned to walk away.
Moon stood quiet for a while, watching Aiden as he slowly walked away from her and went to meet his stupid wife upstairs.
She felt so angry and jealous; she felt ignored and insignificant.
After everything she tried to do for Aiden, he never seemed to appreciate her effort and feelings.
She clenched her fists and made a decision: she wasn’t going to just sit and watch Aiden fall in love with another woman.
Never.
“Aiden!” Moon shouted his name angrily.
Aiden’s steps immediately paused halfway to the stairs.
He slowly turned, a deep frown marking his face, and he wondered why Moon would call him with such aggression.
He turned and stared at Moon, a questioning look in his eyes.
“What’s the problem, Moon?
Everything alright?” He asked cautiously.
Moon was fuming, but she wasn’t about to let Aiden see the angry part of her; she was going to channel her anger into something else: a decoy.
She slowly started to walk toward Aiden, her face looking very hurt, and tears were starting to appear in her eyes, making them misty.
“Aiden…” She called softly this time.
Aiden suddenly saw the tears in her eyes and became worried.
He walked up to her and gently placed a hand over her shoulder.
“What’s the matter, Moon, why are you tearing up?” He asked softly.
Moon sobbed quietly; she turned herself into and hugged him tight, sobbing into his chest.
Aiden was confused; she had just been a happy ball a few seconds ago, and now, she was a crying mess.
He placed his hand on her head and gently patted it, “It’s okay, it’s okay, you can stop crying; tell me what the problem is, and I’ll help solve it, whatever it is,” Aiden promised.
Moon slowly lifted her head when she heard his words.
She looked up at him and used the back of her hand to wipe her fake tears.
“Whatever it is?” She asked innocently, blinking up at him.
Aiden nodded, “Sure, as long as it gets you to stop crying,” He shrugged.
Moon nodded and stepped away from him.
“I feel like you don’t love me anymore.
You love me less with each passing day,” She said in a very low voice, lowering herself on the sofa.
Aiden frowned, this topic again?
He sighed and went to sit beside her.
“What makes you say that?
Do I treat you in any way that makes you draw such a conclusion?” He questioned, worried.
Moon shifted and leaned her side to Aiden’s body, “You gave me your words.
You promised that no one could ever come between us, not even Ariel, yet you’re almost beside her every second of your life,” Moon complained, her fingers slowly tracing Aiden’s knees.
Aiden tilted his head to the side and regarded Moon quietly for a while before he spoke.
“Moon,” He took her hand in his and made her look up at him.
“Ariel is my wife, and my relationship with the both of you is on a different level, how I relate with both of you is bound to be different, but that doesn’t mean that I love you any less than I used to, you know that,” he smiled down at her.
“Fake wife, Aiden, fake wife,” Moon frowned, removing her hands from Aiden’s hand.
“She’s supposed to be your fake wife, which means that you’re not supposed to care about her; in fact, she doesn’t even exist to you.
You shouldn’t even be seen interacting with her or caring about her wellbeing, and you shouldn’t even have the right to live in the same house with you,” Moon ranted, her jealousy threatening to spill out of her body.
Aiden observed Moon for a while.
“Can I ask you a question, Moon?” He asked slowly.
“Do you have a problem with Ariel as a person, or are you just worried I’m giving attention to someone else?
Are you jealous?” He questioned with narrowed eyes.
He knew siblings could be possessive, but he never imagined it to be to this extent.
Moon sighed softly, “It’s not like I’m jealous, Aiden.
I just don’t want you to be hurt when you have to divorce her in the end.
I believe that giving your attention to someone who isn’t your real wife is a waste of time…what if you start developing feelings for her?
Then, when she demands a divorce, you’ll be the one getting hurt.” She explained.
Aiden nodded, “I see.
You’re just worried about me developing feelings for my fake wife, right?” Moon nodded.
“Then you won’t have a problem when I find a real wife, right?” He asked.
Moon was starting to smile.
She nodded, but deep down, she knew that the moment he started giving her attention like he used to, seducing him would become super easy, and then, there would be no need for any real wife because she would be the real wife by then.
“Of course, Aiden, I’m your sister, and I’ll never have a problem with my real sister-in-law,” Moon smiled sweetly.
Aiden nodded, “Alright, then it’s settled,” He pecked her cheek and stood on the sofa.
Moon stood, feeling satisfied with her successful mission.
“Then, I shall ask Ariel to be my real wife, what do you think?” Aiden asked, smiling expectantly at Moon.
Moon almost lost his footing from the unexpected question.
“Really?!
You want to ask Ariel to be your real wife?” Moon asked, her heart shattering into a million pieces.
