Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Ariel walked out of the elevator and found herself on a strange floor.
Yes, she worked in this company but she’d never ventured to this floor before.
It was a long passage full of closed doors; unlike their floor with transparent walls, this one seemed a bit closed in; employees who worked here wouldn’t be able to see each other unless they stepped out of their offices.
Ariel looked down at the key in her hand and started walking past the doors, looking up to find the matching number.
She walked all the way down to the passage and almost lost hope of finding the matching key number to a room.
“Oh…” She murmured when she looked up at the fourth door to the last, it was a match.
Ariel narrowed her eyes when she saw what was written beside the number; “Staff’s Room.” What was Aiden doing inside the staff’s room?
She shrugged and decided to open the door, however, before she could put the key in, someone suddenly ran out from the elevator, startling her.
“Stop!” Jess shouted, raising her hand to Ariel as she stood in front of the elevator.
“Jess?” Ariel furrowed her brows in confusion.
Jess quickly ran over to her and snatched the key from her hand.
“What are you doing?” Ariel asked in shock, Jess was acting quite out of character.
“Don’t ask questions, hurry, go down the parking lot, Aiden’s been looking everywhere for you, and Moon seems to have an agenda tonight.
Hurry, go save your husband,” Jess started to push Ariel toward the elevator.
“Jess, stop!” Ariel angrily pushed Jess away.
“What’s the meaning of all this?
Aiden is waiting in there for me…oh, I see what this is, you’ve been pretending to be my friend, but just like the others, you don’t want me with your brother,” Ariel accused.
Jess sighed, frustrated; she marched up to Ariel and grabbed her shoulders, “Ariel, it’s not that; Moon lied to you; she has set a man up in there to rape you inside that room.
Do you really think I’d lie to you?
Would you believe Moon over me?
As I speak to you, she’s in Aiden’s car trying to spike his drink, and trust me, if you waste more time, she will carry his baby the next morning,” She locked her steady gaze with Ariel’s, showing no lies in her eyes.
“She…I thought…I’m sorry,” Ariel was lost; she didn’t know where to start.
Why did she even believe Moon in the first place?
“It’s okay, just go,” She pushed Ariel into the elevator and watched the door close.
“I’m sorry; I also did this for my own selfishness,” Jess muttered before she turned and walked back to the door where Ariel had been standing.
“Here goes the beginning of another story…” She sighed before unlocking the door and walking into the room.
*** Inside Aiden’s car, Gregory was sitting in front feeling very uncomfortable with what was happening behind him.
He knew Moon was Aiden’s sister, but he also knew that she had other feelings that siblings shouldn’t have for him.
For that reason alone, he wasn’t comfortable with the way she was persistent in offering him glass after glass of wine.
Aiden indulged his little sister, not wanting her to feel bad.

“Moon, it’s the sixth glass.
I think that’s enough.
I need to go look for Ariel,” Aiden pushed the wine glass back into Moon’s hand.
He rubbed his forehead as he felt a little pain, but it was gone before he knew it, so he proceeded to push the door open.
Moon frowned when he saw that Aiden was being stubborn.
She was surprised that Aiden was still conscious up to that moment, he was supposed to be knocked out on the first glass and then wake up an hour later when she might have taken him to her house, and by then, he’d be horny as fuck and she’d be the only option for him.
“Wait!” Moon caught Aiden’s hand before he could step out of the car.
“What’s it this time, Moon?” Aiden asked, raising his brow at her.
Moon bit her lips and tugged his hand.
“I don’t think Ariel is still in there, I think I saw her leave with Collin when I was walking-” “What?!” Aiden turned instantly, his face and aura turning murderous immediately.
Moon shrank back from him.
“Relax, Aiden, it’s not as if she’s your real wife, I even heard her telling Collin that she’d be divorcing you soon,” Moon added quietly.
Aiden felt his heart shatter into a million pieces; he clenched his hands beside himself and gritted his teeth; he suddenly held the door and slammed it shut.
“Drive, Gregory,” Aiden’s tone was cold as he ordered.
Gregory looked at Moon through the front mirror and saw the evil smirk that appeared on her face.
He had a lot of things to say, but he didn’t want to lose his job; Aiden wouldn’t believe him over his sister after all.
He had seen Collin leave the party, and if his sight was still functioning well, he didn’t see anyone beside him; he was alone as he entered his car and drove out.
“Where to, boss?” Gregory questioned.
He didn’t want to drive Moon back to Aiden’s mansion; he wished Aiden asked him to drive Moon back first; he just had a bad feeling that something bad was about to happen tonight.
“To his home, of course, what a dumb question,” Moon replied before Aiden could say any word.
Aiden felt another throb in his head and immediately rested his head back on the chair.
“Drive home, Gregory,” His voice was quiet as he winced, holding his head.
“Yes, boss,” Gregory replied and started the car.
Before he drove away from the parking lot, he saw Moon’s evil gleam as she hungrily feasted her eyes all over Aiden’s body.
He sighed and drove the car off; he just hoped a miracle would happen; if not, he was sure Moon was about to get her arms around his boss.
Behind them, Ariel had just emerged from the building and saw the car driving away from her.
She was gasping as she had to run all the way out and had to navigate the gown from tripping herself and others.
“What?
Why?” Ariel ran her hand through her hair as she stared at the car disappear from her view.
Her heart was falling into her stomach, had Moon succeeded in spiking Aiden’s drink?
Was she taking him to her house now?
“No…” She helplessly stared at the gate.
She had no means of going back now except walking, and even though she walked, she wouldn’t even get home after midnight.
Why was Moon so evil?
For some unknown reason, Ariel felt tears prickling down her eyes, she just realized she couldn’t bear it if Aiden ever slept with Moon or any other woman.
She slowly walked down the stairs and when she was standing on the interlocked ground, she bent over and took off her heels, if she was going to walk home, then she better be comfortable doing so, at least, being barefoot was better than letting the heels bite into her skin and cause her blisters.
Ariel had walked outside the gate, slowly heading toward the direction she knew would lead her home, but she hadn’t even taken three steps out of the gate when a car pulled over beside her.
She turned to look at the car and saw the glass window slowly wind down.
“Hey, Girlie, where do you think you’re going to?” Jewel asked, raising his shades to his head.
Ariel didn’t realize when she put her head through the window and clenched his shirt in her fists.
“Take me home, Jewel, right now!” She spoke through gritted teeth.
Jewel was shocked, he coughed as he felt his collar tightening around his neck.
“Oh…okay, g-get i-in th-the c-car…” He gently slapped her hand for her to release him.
Ariel wasted no time and ran over to the other side of the car and sat beside him in the next second.
“Come on, hurry.
Aiden’s home!” She slapped Jewel’s lap.
“Ouch!
Okay, okay,” Jewel immediately stepped on the gas and moved the car.
Ariel was nervous the whole ride, she was playing different scenarios in her head of what could be happening between Aiden and Moon at that moment.
She never knew she would get this nervous for a man, for Aiden.
Does this mean she was developing feelings for him?
Or had she already developed them?
“We’re here, but can you tell me why-” “Thank you, Jewel, see you tomorrow,” Ariel heard Jewel’s voice and realized that she had arrived, she immediately left the car and ran into the gate.
“Of course…
see you tomorrow,” Jewel nodded to himself.
Inside the compound, Ariel immediately ran up the stairs and pushed the door open.
She looked around and saw that everywhere was quiet, was Aiden not home?
She was lost in thought when she suddenly heard someone walking down the stairs.
“Greg!” She ran up to him.
Gregory looked so elated to see her for the first time.
“Ariel, hurry, Moon had just forced me to leave, she said she wants to take care of the boss till dawn,” Gregory informed urgently.
“That bitch,” Ariel didn’t care if Gregory saw her as a bad girl for cursing in front of him, all she wanted was to slam Moon’s head to the wall.
“Thank you,” She slid past him and ran up to their room.
She pushed open the door and felt her bile burst.
Moon was sitting with her legs crossed over Aiden’s thighs.
She was trying to undress him, but he was resisting her.
Moon saw the door fly one and didn’t bother to turn.
“If you still want to keep your useless job, I suggest you leave, Gregory.
This is none of your business,” Moon spoke with an insulting tone.
“But it sure is my business, Moon,” Ariel’s voice had never been so scary before; she walked into the room and stood behind Moon.
Moon froze the moment she heard Ariel’s voice.
She snapped her head to the side and stared at Ariel in shock.
“No way…” She quickly got off Aiden, pulling her dress down as she stood in front of Ariel.
“Surprise, Moon,” Ariel narrowed her eyes in a deathly manner.
