Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Last night, Aiden had been waiting for Ariel to come back home and meet him in their room, but for a very long time, she didn’t come back and when she finally did, she went right into the bathroom and showered.
He was thinking that after her shower he’d get to cuddle his wife, but he was disappointed to see her walk out of the room and go back to her formal room.
Grandma Nari was gone, so there was no one to pretend for anymore.
Aiden was confused; she hadn’t even said a word to him and it made him uncomfortable.
He had gone over to the room and knocked multiple times, but no one responded; he had no choice but to return to bed alone that night.
He tossed and turned as he thought about what he had done wrong this time.
He couldn’t wait for the next morning to talk with her and question her about why she acted the way she did last night.
Finally, after the long night, morning came.
Aiden quickly ran out of his room the moment he woke up, he needed to speak to his wife before doing any other thing; He’d feel so uncomfortable doing his normal routine without speaking to her first.
However, as he neared her room, he saw a maid cleaning the room and taking out the laundry.
“Good morning, Mr.
Chaz,” The maid bowed to him as she greeted him.
“Where’s my wife?” He asked as he stood in front of the door, looking into the empty room.
“She left for work quite early, Sir,” The maid replied and carried on with her duty.
Aiden was stumped; he wondered how Ariel always managed to leave the house so early, he thought he was an early bird, but it turns out Ariel was earlier than him.
He defeatedly walked back to his room, and the moment he shut the door, he did everything at lightning speed.
He took off his clothes and ran into the bathroom, and after a little while he rushed out and quickly dressed up.
Picking up his keys, he steadily walked out of the house, walking just because he didn’t want to appear mad to his workers; if not, he would have run his way out of the door and into the car.
“Good morning, Boss,” Gregory greeted beside the car.
“To the company, immediately!” He threw the key over at Gregory and entered the car without waiting for him to open the door as usual.
Gregory saw the urgency in his voice and immediately entered the car without questioning.
They reached the office, and Aiden got down of the car himself, heading in hurried strides into his company.
“Good morning, Mr.
Chaz,” The receptionist greeted, but he didn’t even look at her; he was hurrying over to the elevator.
He was just about to step into the elevator when he heard a familiar giggle, his whole body paused and his head automatically turned toward the direction of the giggle.
As he suspected, it was Ariel, holding h hands with Jewel as they walked into the Cafeteria.
He frowned.
Why was Ariel with him?
Did he tell her something he shouldn’t have and that’s why she was avoiding him?
If yes, then Jewel was about to go down for his treachery.

He quickly diverted to another direction; the Cafeteria.
It was unusual for him to be there, especially in the morning as everyone knew he took mornings very seriously.
He never missed work for anything.
So, as he walked into the Cafeteria, it immediately got everywhere quietened down as they all turned to subtly stare at him.
They were wondering why their boss was down here such early in the morning.
“Hey, behind you, your husband’s here for you,” Jewel whispered.
Ariel froze and refused to look back.
Why would Aiden want to speak to her right now?
In public?
“He’s not her for me,” She muttered and sipped her coffee.
“Well, it looks like he’s coming over…wait, why’s Eva walking toward him?” Jewel asked, frowning.
Ariel still refused to turn and look at him; she wasn’t really bothered about Eva walking up to Aiden; the man was hers, so Eva meeting him meant nothing.
“Mr.
Chaz, please let me order for you.
You can tell me what you want and I’ll be pleased to help you,” Eva’s sweet voice reached Ariel’s ears.
Everyone was trying not to be obvious in staring at Eva and her boldness, but amid their discussions, they still stared at her and Aiden.
Aiden stared at the girl in front of him, and the first thing he remembered was Abbey; he’d been occupied and hadn’t looked into the matter with Eva and her Mother.
Although it seems Eva was innocent, he might just as well play along and find out from her what he wanted to know about Ariel, and why her mother was claiming that Ariel was an imposter.
He wasn’t going to lie and say that he wasn’t curious about Ariel.
Her last name was Dew, but his Grandma said she was a Hudson.
He just wanted to know who he really married.
“That’s alright, Ms.
Eva, I have a secretary, who will do that,” He curtly nodded at her and walked away.
Eva was disappointed; she was about to walk away when she heard Aiden call her name.
“Ms.
Eva?” She immediately turned and answered.
“Yes, Mr.
Chaz?” “Meet me in my office in two hours,” he informed and walked toward Ariel’s table.
Eva was elated, she was beaming with an uncontrolled smile; finally, Aiden Chaz had noticed her.
She was so happy as she hurried off from the Cafeteria and ran into her office to apply her make-up to perfection, She had to look her best when she was going to meet him, this was her first step to seducing him, luckily, she wore a short dress that day, it’ll be way easier to trap him in with her sexy body.
Ariel felt her heart skip a beat when she heard Aiden inviting Eva to his office, she couldn’t help but wonder what he wanted to discuss with her.
She felt Aiden behind her, but she still refused to turn; her mood had suddenly turned sour, why did he even have to speak to Eva?
“Mr.
Chaz, please, sit here,” Jewel immediately stood and brought out the chair beside Ariel for him to sit.
Aiden nodded at him as he lowered himself on the chair.
“What would you like to order, sir?” Jewel asked quietly.
Aiden ignored him, he had his eyes locked on Ariel’s side profile as she had her hands wrapped around her cup of coffee, sipping it as if she wasn’t aware of his presence beside her.
“I want her,” Aiden’s voice was low.
Ariel suddenly spurts out the coffee in her mouth, spraying it all over Aiden’s face and expensive suit.
“Oh no,” Jewel gasped dramatically.
Ariel blinked rapidly, staring at Aiden, who had his eyes closed from her sudden sputter.
‘Damn it,’ She immediately panicked.
What would people think about her?
A disrespectful secretary who sputtered drinks on her boss.
She quickly stood, leaned over the table, and picked up the napkin.
“I’m so sorry, it was a mistake, I’m really sorry,” She apologized and used the napkin to wipe his face.
Aiden didn’t move; he just positioned his face better so she had better access to clean him up better.
Everyone saw what happened and was surprised that their cold boss let someone touch him, and it was a woman too.
He was known for hating women; he’d never been seen getting that close to anyone before; it raised suspicion in their minds, making them wonder about the kind of relationship Aiden had with his secretary.
Aiden slowly stood from the chair, towering over Ariel.
“How about the suit?
Who’s going to clean it?” He asked in a low tone, making sure he was looking into her eyes.
Ariel slowly looked down at his suit and was surprised to see that almost all the front was stained with her coffee, she felt bad for doing it, but somehow, she saw it as his punishment for speaking to Eva.
“I’m sorry about that,” She bowed her head.
Aiden shook his head and suddenly held her wrist.
“Sorry won’t suffice, you have to clean it yourself,” He tightened his hold around her wrist and dragged her out of the Cafeteria.
“A…Mr.
Chaz, wait, you can-” “Quiet, Ms.
Dew,” Aiden paused and sternly shunned her.
Ariel blinked and kept quiet, she could feel all eyes on her, some hateful and some piteous.
“I’m sorry,” She apologized.
Aiden turned and continued to drag her out of the Cafeteria.
“Don’t worry, Ariel, I’ll keep your purse safe,” Jewel waved at Ariel.
“Serves her right, it’ll be a miracle if she doesn’t lose her job,” Eva scoffed behind Jewel.
She quickly put her make-up on and came back to the Cafeteria just for Aiden to see and admire her, she never expected to see him with a stained suit and Ariel as the culprit.
She wished she would just lose her job once and for all, it’d really hasten up her plans.
Jewel slowly turned and looked at Eva, smirking as he eyed her from hair to toe.
“Is this your best?” He asked her.
Eva frowned at him, looking at herself too, she was feeling like there was something wrong with her dressing or make-up, but she knew Jewel was trying to make her feel bad about herself, so she held her chin up and answered him.
“My best about what?” Eva put her hand on her waist.
Jewel chuckled mockingly at her.
He leaned close to her and sniffed beside her neck, then proceeded to reel back from her as if he’d been stung by a bee.
“Oh my God, how awful,” He waved his hand below his nose as if he was waving off an awful and foul smell.
“Trust me, Mr.
Chaz doesn’t like cheap bitches.
What’s the perfume you’re wearing?
Shit?
And look at how awful your dress is,l.
Don’t even get me started with the make-up; it’s a pale comparison to the rubbish my two-year-old niece does with her dummy,” Jewel said with utter disgust written all over his face.
Eva was shocked and bothered.
She was extremely bothered.
Her confidence went from 100 to 10; she had never been insulted this way in her whole life.
“You’re just stupid and jealous.
You ugly fag – Argh!!” Eva screamed as she felt a warm liquid splash over her face.
“Oh!
My bad!” Jewel placed a hand over his mouth in shock.
He had poured his drink purposely on Eva, “I’m really sorry!
It was a mistake!” He said loudly for everyone to hear, then he went closer to her and whispered.
“Now, your makeup looks better,” He winked at her before walking out of the Cafeteria with Ariel’s purse in his hand.
Eva stood there, disgraced and boiling in anger.
Her hatred for Ariel and Jewel multiplied a billionfold.
‘Just a little time; and I’d become Mrs.
Chaz; let’s see if you’d still treat me this way, Jewel,’ She angrily thought before she stumped out of the Cafeteria.
