Chapter 97: Chapter 97 Chapter 97: Chapter 97 Ariel had just finished showering with Aiden and was about to prepare for work, but Aiden snatched the clothes out of her hands.
She snapped her head to him with a frown, “Why?” She asked.
Aiden carefully placed the clothes back into the wardrobe.
He stood in front of her and raised his hand beside his head, “I, Mr.
Aiden Chaz, have decided that I shall not be going to work today.” He said in a serious voice.
Ariel chuckled.
“You’re unbelievable.
Are you serious?” She tilted her head to the side and stared at him.
Aiden nodded.
“Yes, today, I want to spend my whole day with my wife, Mrs.
Ariel Chaz,” he grabbed her by the waist and drew her to him.
Ariel laughed, “At least let’s get dressed, or do you want us to spend the day naked, too?” She wrapped her hand around his neck, staring into his eyes.
Aiden smirked, “I don’t mind that,” his hand was already traveling down her ass.
“Aiden!” Ariel giggled as she felt his hand grab one of her soft asses.
“You don’t know how addicting you are…” He kissed the side of her lips.
“I was such a fool trying to get you away from me in the start; thank goodness you were stubborn and refused to leave me…you must have been so in love with me,” Aiden smirked.
Ariel laughed, shaking her head, “Trust me, I had a purpose…” Ariel whispered.
Aiden frowned.
“Chill, but I’m not a gold-digger as you used to call me,” Ariel scoffed.
“Come on, I’m sorry for all those stupid things I said and did to you; I had let my past affect me for way too long,” Aiden confessed.
Ariel placed her hands on his cheek.
“Maybe it’s time for you to tell me about this past, mm?” She asked in a whisper.
Aiden’s brows furrowed; he wondered if it was the right time to tell Ariel about his past with his mother; maybe it was; he didn’t want to have anything to hide from her.
“I guess so,” He nodded.
Ariel smiled encouragingly at him, “Come on, quit being clingy; let’s get dressed.
I’m hungry, and after eating, we can talk about it.
I have a few things I’d like us to discuss regarding our marriage, too.” She said and walked away from him.
Aiden stood without moving as he heard Ariel mention something about their marriage.
Could it be what he was afraid of since the moment she realized that Mr.
Dee was her grandfather?

Did she want to talk about divorcing him?
Did she no longer find value in him, since her grandfather could give her all the money she needed?
“Hey, babe, if it’s about the money, you can take my black card; it’s yours.
Use it however you want; trust me, it’s limitless,” Aiden suddenly walked over to Ariel, who was pulling a shirt over her head and grabbed her hand.
Ariel was surprised and confused, “Hey, what are you talking about?
What card?” “Tell me, what do you want us to discuss about our marriage?
You can say it right now, please,” Aiden gently shook Ariel.
“Aiden, get dressed, you look distracting,” Ariel chuckled and removed her hand from him.
“Meet me downstairs, Sweetheart,” She waved at him and walked out of the room.
“Damn it,” Aiden muttered between his teeth.
His head was playing out different outcomes about their upcoming discussion.
He wished he wasn’t an overthinker.
It would have helped a little because, right now, he might as well just suffocate with his ever-growing anxiety.
He quickly pulled loose pants up his waist and grabbed a white shirt, then he proceeded to run out of the room.
Downstairs, Aiden heard Ariel’s laughter inside the kitchen and went right in there.
“Good morning, Mr.
Chaz,” Anna greeted the moment Aiden walked into the kitchen.
Ariel slowly turned and saw Aiden standing beside the door, his eyes locked on her.
She giggled.
Aiden was acting like a child.
Why was he following her around as if she were planning to make a run for it?
“Food is almost ready; go sit in the dining,” Ariel waved him away.
Aiden shook his head and walked toward her, “Anna got it under control.
You are coming with me, let’s go,” He held her hand and gently dragged her out of the kitchen.
“Aiden-” “Just sit,” Aiden drew out a chair from under the table and made Ariel sit.
He drew another one and sat beside her.
He took one of her hands that was placed on the table and kissed it, “Promise you’re not leaving me?” He asked quietly.
Ariel looked into his eyes and saw the insecurity there, why was he suddenly feeling that way?
But she assured him anyway, she wasn’t planning to leave him, ever.
“I’m not going anywhere, Aiden.
I promise,” She tightened her hand around his.
Aiden sighed quietly, “Even when I tell you about my past, you won’t change the way you look at me, right?” He questioned.
Ariel nodded.
She leaned her head toward him and whispered into his ear, “I’ll never change the way I look at you, baby.
Trust me, I’m just as mad over you as you are over me, if not more,” Aiden turned his face to her and kissed her, it was a sweet and consoling kiss.
He was consoling himself, assuring himself that the person before him was really his wife.
“Ahem!
Breakfast is served, Mr.
And Mrs.
Chaz,” Anna announced, keeping her eyes on the floor to avoid looking where she wasn’t supposed to look.
Ariel slowly withdrew from Aiden and cleared her throat, “Thank you, Anna.” Aiden nodded at the lady.
Anna bowed her head and walked back into the kitchen.
“So…” Ariel stood to serve the food but Aiden placed a hand on her lap, stopping her.
“Just sit, I’ll tell you everything while we eat,” He made her sit back and then he stood and started to dish out the food.
He sat with his food in front of him before he started, “It was fifteen years ago, I was just eleven…I guess…” Fifteen years ago…..
An eleven-year-old boy was standing beside his mother, Emily, in front of the Chaz mansion, she had her hand placed gently on his shoulder and a beautiful smile on her face as she watched her husband walk down the stairs with a briefcase in his hand.
“Darling,” Emily walked over to her husband and hugged him, kissing his cheek.
Mr.
Chaz kissed his wife’s cheeks lovingly and squatted in front of his son, “You’d take care of your Mama, right?” He asked his son, patting his head.
Aiden nodded his head, smiling, but behind him, his hands were clenched tightly as he used his side eye to see his mother giving him a death glare.
“Come back soon, Dad,” Aiden said to his father.
Mr.
Chaz kissed his head and stood, “I will, son, goodbye,” He replied and went over to his wife for another hug.
“Safe flight, Darling,” Emily kissed him with a smile.
Mr.
Chaz stared at his wife with adoration in his eyes; it was evident that he loved his wife so much, he couldn’t hide it.
Aiden watched this father walk toward the car that was already held open by a driver.
He stiffened the moment he saw his mother walk back to his side and place her hand back on his shoulder.
“Bye!
Wave bye to Daddy, Sweetheart,” Emily said to Aiden.
Aiden raised his hand with a forced smile and waved at the car that was slowly driving out of the compound.
The moment the gates closed, Aiden’s smile fell and in the next second, the hand on his shoulder dug painfully into his skin.
“Ouch!” Aiden exclaimed, trying to move away from her but she held him back, digging her fingers deeper into his skin.
“Now, now, my baby, it’s time to be a good boy and go lock yourself in the room,” She forcefully turned his body toward the stairs and pushed him hard.
“Hurry, you shit, I don’t want my baby seeing you,” She scowled at Aiden, who had fallen at the foot of the stairs from her harsh push.
Aiden sniffed and got up, he didn’t look back as he hurriedly ran up the stairs and went right up to his room, slamming the door loudly and locking it.
He slid down and buried his face between his knees, not crying.
He’d cried so much he had no more tears to cry, he was used to this, but does one ever get used to pain and torture?
He heard footsteps walking toward his door and soon, he heard someone locking the door from outside.
“Be a good boy and keep quiet while Mummy has fun, okay baby?” Emily laughed sinisterly.
“I should have never had you; you spoilt my career, and as for that your idiotic father, don’t worry, he’d be dead soon, and all the wealth shall be mine, as it should be,” She laughed in a sadistic manner.
“You’ve been a good boy by not telling your father, I’ll reward you for that.
Instead of locking you up for three days, I’ll lock you up for just two; after all, you’re still my son, sadly, that’s why you’re still alive,” Her voice sounded as if she regretted letting him live.
Aiden was trembling inside his room; he slowly moved away from the door, afraid to make a sound.
He knew what he was about to face; two days with no food, no water.
But he wasn’t worried about feeding, this has been happening for so long that he adapted ways to survive.
He learned to steal snacks and small water bottles from the kitchen whenever his father was around; now he had a wardrobe full of supplies that would sustain him more than two days.
“Bastard!” Emily screamed, banging her hand on the door.
Aiden fidgeted, moving over to sit on his bed.
“I’m supposed to be the number one model in the whole world but look where I am, a fucking housewife!” She released a maniac-like laughter.
“But don’t worry sugar, Mummy will be fine,” She laughed softly this time.
Aiden heard the door next to his open and he heard her mother’s footsteps walk toward it.
It was about to begin.
“Babe!” The familiar voice called out to his mother.
“I’m over here, Benson,” Emily replied from the room.
Aiden heard another footstep walk into the room, and the door was banged shut.
Soon, loud music started to play, and the smell of weed started to waft into his room.
He hated this part, he didn’t like how he felt each time he inhaled whatever was in that smoke because he always lost himself and became unaware of his surroundings.
The next step before he fell asleep; his mother’s moans filled the house, followed by the man’s groans as they did whatever it was they did to each other in the room next door.
With those annoying sounds ringing in his ears, he fell to the floor and lost consciousness.
That was going to be his life for the next two to three days: an eleven-year-old child, high on an unknown substance and blacked out with his mother having sex with a strange man in the next room.
