(BL) Hunting The Field Guide - Chapter 132
Chapter 132: Packing Heat Chapter 132: Packing Heat Kellen felt his lip tremble as he exhaled, and the Captain came at Kellen like a bull in a china shop as soon as the doors were closed behind him.
He wrapped his arms around him, giving him a tight squeeze.
“You did amazing.” He told him, and Kellen felt his arms shake as he hugged him back. “Yeah, you didn’t scream at anyone, you didn’t make anyone bleed.
A win in my books.” Hill teased as Kellen held onto the Captain like a lifeline.
His arms around him were so comforting, and he shakily exhaled again. “You held it together Kellen.
I’m actually very proud of you.” Pamela’s voice was full of warmth, and he nodded, still holding onto the Captain.
He chuckled. “How angry were you?” He teased and Kellen sniffed. “Very.
I wanted to be just as violent as they expected me to be.” Hill chuckled. “Well, you aren’t packing anything, so I doubt you’ll be able to.
Just leave that up to the real Espers.” Hill teased, and Kellen froze.
When he didn’t respond, Hill spoke again.
“I was joking.
Kellen, you don’t have a gun on you right now, right?” He didn’t say anything again and Kellen felt the Captain reach around to the back of his pants.
He pulled at the waistband before pulling out the gun he had there.
Hill snorted, while Pamela groaned. “Why do you have that?” She demanded and he shrugged. “Captain warned me that some of the terrorists might have snuck in, so I wanted to be prepared.
There are civilians among the reporters, and even if they are idiots, they still deserve to live and be safe.” “Did it ever occur to you that you might be the reason why they don’t feel safe?” Pamela asked. “No.
Never.” Kellen answered honestly and Hill laughed.
He heard her unwrap a lollipop before he felt it graze his lips.
Stunned, he let her shove it into his mouth because he was afraid that if he didn’t, she’d accidentally break his teeth.
Sucking, Kellen realised it wasn’t cherry, but strawberry. “My fucking man.
Packing heat at a press conference for excessive violence.
I have to applaud you Kellen.
Of all people, no one would have guessed you.” He finally pulled away from the Captain, who held Kellen’s gun in his hand.
Tentatively, he took it back, made sure the safety was still on, and slid it back into place.
Pamela was shaking her head, while Hill grinned, and the Captain had a proud look in his eyes. “You’ve done a great job.
I assume you have classes after this?” Captain confirmed and he nodded.
Kellen pulled the lollipop out of his mouth to answer him. “Yeah.
I planned to head back up to my apartment to change into my Guild uniform first though.” Kellen’s phone vibrated as if someone was listening in on him.
He pulled it out, noticing Brent’s name on the screen and picked it up.
“Brent?” He asked. “You little motherfucker.
Good job.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
I passed by a room with a bunch of tvs and everyone was watching.
Holy hell, when your eyes started glowing blues I thought I was going to shit myself.
Hot as hell.
Is the Captain nearby?” Kellen glanced behind him, aware that all three of them could probably hear him. “Uh, he is?” He answered tentatively and Brent laughed. “How is that man keeping his hands off of you right now?
If you were mine and you’d just gone through something like that I would tuck you away from the world and smother you in kisses.” Kellen felt his face flush and glanced up at the Captain who he knew was listening in.
Kellen flinched as the Captain wrapped his arms around his waist from behind, and spoke into the phone and Kellen’s ear. “You know Mr.
Woods gets embarrassed when I openly show him affection.
If it’s not guiding, he overthinks it.” Brent’s laughter was loud even for Kellen’s ears. “I shoulda known you could hear me.
Of course, Captain Thatcher, that just means you got to get him used to it.
He’s been rejecting everyone before you, so of course he needs some breaking in.” Hill snorted, covering her mouth while Kellen felt himself shake in anger. “I am not a dog or a pair of shoes, Brent.” Kellen warned and the Captain gave him a squeeze. “I am also not interested in either of those things.
He’s just a little nervous sometimes.
It only makes it more fun to tease him.
He’s done a great job today, so why would I punish him?” The Captain smiled as he spoke, before glancing at Kellen and giving him a wink.
Kellen flushed almost instantaneously.
He shoved the lollipop back into his mouth, glancing away from him.
Kellen felt Kill’s arm come around his shoulder and she grinned at the two of them. “I think you gotta show him more affection so he stops thinking of it as a punishment, Captain Thatcher.
I also think we need to be careful, he does have a gun.” she snickered and Brent burst into laughter on the other side of the phone. “You can take the Field Guide away from the front lines, but they’ll always be a Field Guide at heart.
Kellen, cut the Captain a break.
It’s clear that you’re the air that the man breathes, let him get away with a couple of touches and kisses in public every once in a while.
Don’t want his attention wandering.” Kellen froze and the Captain gave him another squeeze. “Mr.
Woods has no worries in that regard.
If my attention was ever to wander, he has full permission to punish me.” The Captain grinned at Kellen, and Hill whistled. “Yeah, and Kellen is such a beefcake that I don’t think the Captain will ever get him out of his head long enough to even look at someone else.” Brent chuckled. “I was only teasing.
Oh, shit.
I think the class is starting to arrive.
Are you far away Kellen?” Panic filled Brent’s voice, and Kellen felt himself stiffen. “Uh, no, but I planned to change fir-” “Why the fuck would you?
You’re a scary man, who just did a press conference in the outfit you beat the shit out of people in.
If that is not the most Field Guide shit ever, I don’t want to hear anything else.
Plus, we want them to wear the outfits, so we should too.
I’m wearing the Guild uniform today, but I also think it’s a good idea if one of us wears one or the other.
We can just tell each other when we see each other in the morning at the gym from now on.” Kellen could hear the sound of chatter on the other side.
“Fuck, hurry over.
You know I’m not great with students.” He muttered before hanging up, not giving him a chance to speak.
Kellen sighed, and ran his hand over his face.
Hill chuckled. “Man, he really is your version of me, isn’t he?
Good for you, you need a support system like the Captain, but I make no promises on not hitting on your sister.
She’s hella cute.” Kellen glared at Hill who let go of him with a grin.
Kellen crunched the lollipop, much to her horror, and tossed the stick into the garbage can as he chewed the candy up. “Gwen is her own person, but keep in mind, you are also her instructor.
If you abuse that power, I’ll abuse you.” Hill grinned, pulling out her phone before the smile fell from her face and she spun to grab her laptop. “Of course, I absolutely understand that Kellen.
I would never even dream about it.
I’ll wait till she’s a full fledged member before I make it obvious.
I’m not that kind of a degenerate.” She sighed.
“Casper just yelled at me, reminding me of our meeting, Captain Thatcher.
So you should kiss your honey goodbye and we should hit the road.
We’ll even be kind enough to leave the room so Kellen doesn’t die from embarrassment.” She glanced at Pamela who already had her bag packed and was typing away on her phone. The two women shared a look, before they nodded and left the room, leaving the Captain and Kellen alone. He wasted no time. The Captain spun Kellen around and pressed his lips against his.
Surprised, Kellen pressed his hands against his chest, his phone still in his hand.
His tongue lapped at his lips, and Kellen opened up for him, slightly nervous.
He groaned into the kiss, lowering his hands to cup Kellen’s ass, fondling him as he deepened the kiss.
Kellen wasn’t aware that he was guiding the Captain as they kissed until his thoughts started going hazy. Kellen was surprised by himself, and how hungry he was for the Captain.
The kiss was hot, wet, and fulfilled both of their desires.
Kellen’s heart was in his throat the more he kissed him, his free hand gripping tightly onto the lapels of the Captain’s jacket, pulling him tighter against him.
The Captain only let him go when someone banged on the door, and the trail of saliva that formed between them made Kellen flush. “We both have to go, but I hate to leave you.
I wanted to spend more time enjoying you.” He inhaled deeply, and groaned.
“You smell good too.
How am I going to get through the day without seeing you until the evening?” He muttered, pressing his forehead into his shoulder.
Stunned, Kellen raised his hand and patted his shoulder gently. “You’ll get through it.” He told him, and he glanced at him, his eyes sad. “You’ll text me, won’t you?
You said you would.” Kellen didn’t remember making that kind of promise yesterday, but he was being so cute and pitiful that he found himself smiling. “I’ll try, but I’ll also be busy today.” Kellen swore he pouted before he stole another deep kiss and gave his butt a firm squeeze.
He grinned at Kellen’s stunned expression before he left, waving.
Hill’s waving hand was visible until the door closed, and Kellen gave himself a second to process what happened, before heading out himself.
CREATORS’ THOUGHTS CalyB It’s one of my favourite things, Pamela’s deep disappointment, and Hill’s immediate pleasure at Kellen bringing a gun.
