(BL) Hunting The Field Guide - Chapter 228
Chapter 228: A mind made up Chapter 228: A mind made up Feeling the Captain press him into the bed, their clothes a mess with their cum, Kellen felt his shoulders relax.
His heart was slowing down, and his body filled with this feeling of…contentment. “Fuck.
You took me by surprise.” Rhys muttered, and Kellen chuckled. “Did I?” Kellen asked softly, and Rhys raised his head, his eyes still on the cusp of gold, but slowly brightening. “Yeah.
I never…I thought it was going to be a lot longer before you would do something like this.” He admitted.
“I thought I was going to have to wait a lot longer.” Kellen laughed at his slightly sheepish tone.
Pulling his face closer, Kellen pressed a kiss against his lips, much to Rhys’ shock. “Rhys, how on earth did you forget that once I make my mind up, that’s it?
It’s done.
I’m not changing it again.
We’re a pair, and in this pair we are in a relationship.
I am not going to deny my urges anymore, now that I have some understanding of what they are.” Rhys’ eyes went big, and he swallowed thickly. “Oh, you can hold whatever part of me you want.
Do you want me to wear a leash?
Fuck.
I’ll do it.” Rhys whispered, and Kellen laughed. “What did I tell you about that?
You aren’t a monster.” Kellen warned, his tone affectionate and Rhys took one of Kellen’s hands in his own, pressing a kiss against each of his fingertips. “Oh sweetheart, I meant it in a completely different way.
You should be worried about the things I want to do to you.
I am a monster, but only because I know damn well what path of debauchery I am about to lead you down.
If I got a leash, you could at least tug on it to let me know you wanted me to stop without words.
Fuck.” Rhys swallowed and Kellen felt his normal complaint dry up in his mouth. What? He felt his face heat, his mouth open, but unsure how to respond.
Rhys chuckled, pressing more kisses against the hand that he held.
Kellen flinched when his tongue got involved. “You like it when there is pain involved, like we already discussed.
We won’t risk it with your ass though.
I don’t want you to tear internally, so I hope you’ll forgive me for not giving you that satisfaction.
Some things Green shouldn’t know.” Kellen felt his jaw drop.
And Rhys seemed pleased as punch.
“You are so easily shocked when it comes to this topic.
It’s…very endearing.” Rhys told him with a chuckle.
“But, we should get going.
No doubt Gwen is wondering where we are, and you have to get to work, and I have to find who did this to you.” His tone was light, but it bellied the depth of anger Kellen felt from his words. Swallowing, Kellen nodded, before leaning forward and planting a kiss on Rhys’ lips. “When you speak that way, it kind of sounds like you’re trying to scare me away.
It’s too late for that, Rhys.
I thought I told you in the arena forever ago.

You can’t get rid of me.” Kellen warned, and Rhys searched Kellen’s face, their lips barely touching each other.
Closing his eyes, Rhys sighed, pressing his forehead against Kellen’s. “Fuck.
I just…I wasn’t expecting this.
This is so much more than I deserve, and you give it so freely.
I can’t…I almost lost you Kellen, and I don’t think…no, I won’t ever forget that feeling.
It was worse than when you went into the gates.
It was so much worse.” He shivered, and Kellen’s emotions shifted.
Ah.
Rhys had been terrified, and Kellen, having just comforting Gwen, relaxed.
Tugging his hand from Rhys’ he wrapped both arms around the other man and just held him. “I’m here.
I’m safe now, and we can both find out who the fuck was behind it.
Together.
We’ll make them pay.
No one is going to take me away from you before I damn well good and ready, alright?” Kellen squeezed him.
“Not even the gates, nor the gods that others believe in could take me away from you before I say so.” Rhys’ shoulders shook as he laughed. “What are you going to do?
Fight them?” The Captain asked, incredulous, and Kellen held him tighter. “I would, yeah.
I found you after ignoring it for a long time.
I’ve fought for so long against their schemes.
The very least they could do is give me what I’ve earned.
If they take it away before I’m damn good and ready, yeah.
I will fight them.” Kellen declared, and Rhys looked up at him, his eyes warm. “You are everything I’ve ever wanted, Kellen Woods.
But please, do not fight the higher powers involved.
We don’t even know if there are higher powers involved.” Rhys told him, and Kellen pouted. “Then don’t suggest it.
Do you think I want to do something like that?
No.
That sounds like a lot of work, and I already have my hands full.
I was in retirement before all of this.” Kellen protested, and Rhys laughed. “Ah, yes.
You were.
I am so sorry for pulling you out of it.” He said, and Kellen gave him another squeeze. “Yes.
You should be.
I was having a great time.
You know, living alone, eating away at my health, lonely.
It was great.” Rhys stared at Kellen’s expression, at the way he was teasing him, and sighed. “Fuck.
I wish we weren’t so busy right now.
I just want to take some time off and lie around in bed with you.
We are supposed to be in our honeymoon phase.” He protested and Kellen looked at where they were pointedly.
In a bed, covered in their spent passions. “We are, in fact, doing what you wanted, but we just have an allotted time.
But we should get moving, like you suggested earlier.
I’m glad you were quick.” Kellen teased, and Rhys chuckled. “Hey, so were you.” Rhys responded, and Kellen nodded, a smile touching his lips. “Well, someone with so much experience was touching me.
How was I going to last long?” Kellen teased, and Rhys sighed.
Pressing his lips against Kellen’s, he kissed him slowly, deeply. “A few more minutes won’t hurt us.” He muttered, and Kellen was hopeless against him. ~ They ended up using the full half an hour that Kellen had left in the guiding room.
Kellen was sure he looked like Rhys had had his way with him, but honestly, Rhys didn’t look much better.
He did look incredibly smug though, and proud.
Any prouder, and Kellen worried he would give the Guild a bad name. His lips felt slightly swollen, and he knew from the bites and licks that they had to be a little bit…pink.
The Captain assured him it wasn’t that bad, but Kellen didn’t know if he could trust him.
The man might have just wanted to show off that Kellen had wanted him. He knew that was the reason he didn’t fix his hair.
Kellen’s cheeks burned knowing that he was the one who’d messed up his usually perfect hair.
It was one of the reasons he did it.
He liked it.
He liked knowing he was the one who did it, but he normally waited until it was the end of the day.
The day had barely started, and Kellen had already ruined his image.
And he knew that no one was going to think someone else had done it. It was all Kellen. At least their uniforms looked perfect.
Rhys hadn’t lied about that.
Not a speck of anything on them.
It was…almost disappointing.
Kellen was eventually going to have to come to terms with that feeling, or make sure that the Captain didn’t change out of his uniform one of these days before Kellen attacked him. Kellen couldn’t believe how much that thought made his pulse speed up. God, the idea of having the Captain at his mercy?
In his uniform?
Oh, with that hat on too?
Kellen felt bad with how much he wanted to destroy that image of him.
But…he had a feeling that the Captain would be all for it. Glancing up at the man who had his arm wrapped around Kellen’s so that Kellen could walk with his cane normally, Rhys turned as soon as he felt Kellen’s gaze on him.
Rhys smiled at him as they made their way towards Gwen and the others. “What’s in that head of yours?” Rhys asked warmly.
“You have quite the look on your face.” Kellen glanced away, looking at the ground ahead of him, focusing on shifting his weight away from his bad leg and onto the cane. “Hmm, well, I was thinking about that proposal you made a while ago.” Kellen admitted.
Rhys smirked. “Which one?” He asked, and Kellen sighed. “The uniform one.” Kellen said, and Rhys stuttered in his steps. “Oh?
Where we wear each other’s uniform?” Kellen made a face. “I kinda want…to have you in your full uniform first.” Kellen admitted quietly, and heard Rhys inhale shakily. “Oh yeah?” He asked softly, and Kellen squeezed his arm. “Is that a problem?” Kellen asked, and Rhys shook his head. “Only if you’re in uniform when you do it.
Fuck.
You have two.
Uh, oh shit, either one.
I am fine with either one.” He seemed to be panicking, and Kellen found it adorable.
He stopped, and squeezed Rhys’ arm again.
Rhys turned, and Kellen smiled up at him, pressing a kiss against his chin. “You technically have two uniforms as well, Captain Thatcher.
Remember?
Your field outfit.” Kellen watched as he swallowed, his gaze dipping into gold. “Oh.
Which would be naughtier?
A Field Guide with a Field Captain, or a Field Guide with a regular Captain?” He asked, and Kellen had a feeling he wasn’t really asking Kellen.
It was more directed at himself. “Well, you have some time to think about it, don’t you?” Kellen teased, his smile mischievous as he stared up at the Captain.
Who swallowed thickly. “Oh, I’m in big trouble.” Rhys whispered, and Kellen laughed. “I’m glad you are aware.” Rhys’ gaze brightened. “But so are you.
Did you forget how I pursued you before, Kellen?” Rhys asked, and Kellen snorted. “Yeah, by embarrassing me everywhere you could in the Guild, and telling everyone that I belonged to you.” Kellen rolled his eyes.
“That isn’t going to work as well as it did before.” Kellen warned, and Rhys grinned. “Good thing I am not a one trick pony then, Kellen.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS CalyB Rhys getting a taste of his own medcine.
