Chapter 291: How to mark you as mine Chapter 291: How to mark you as mine “I can’t believe you did that!” Kellen whispered angrily as the two of them rode the elevator up.
Rhys had his arm around Kellen’s waist, and even with Kellen angry, he wasn’t about to shake it off. “What do you mean you can’t believe I did that?
Of course I would do that.
We didn’t have a cloth, Kellen.” Kellen’s face was bright red, and he was having a hard time getting the image out of his mind. Rhys had moved even further down their bodies and licked clean the mess they’d made.
Kellen knew that he could have probably used a shirt or something to clean it up, and used his powers on it, but instead, he’d gone the complete opposite way. Kellen had even gotten hard again, and Rhys wouldn’t let him leave until he’d sucked him off.
Kellen was embarrassed still by the sounds that had left his mouth as the man had his mouth on him. Rhys however, was pleased as punch.
Kellen couldn’t even believe that a few hours ago he was ready to surge.
Kellen was going to make sure that he brought a damn cloth with them everywhere they went now.
Damn him. Kellen was supposed to be teaching people right now!
Not thinking about how his damn mouth was too fucking good for Kellen’s mental health. Kellen took a deep, steadying breath in, trying to center himself.
Calm himself down.
He was not a horny teenager anymore.
He had control over his desires.
Even if Rhys was testing him even as they spoke. “Rhys.
Keep that hand in the safe zone or I swear, I’ll sleep on the couch.” Rhys gasped. “You are not sleeping on the couch.
I would never allow it.” Kellen sniffed. “Then keep your hands to yourself.
I mean it.
I need to gather myself.
I am not meeting my students looking like you just ravished me.” Kellen’s voice dipped lower when he said the last part, and Rhys’ eyes sparkled when he looked at him.
He was practically glowing. Kellen was glad that their romp in the car had helped him, but it was not good for his health if Rhys went around this shiny.
Kellen was already worried about what kind of attention his already handsome features would attract.
He didn’t need to worry about it more. Kellen frowned, thinking about how he was going to have to mark this man somehow to keep the flies away.
It was an annoying thought, and one he hadn’t really thought about until now.
But that run-in with that damn Guide from Guiding Center A had reminded him that Rhys was very attractive, not just to him, but to the general public. “Should I get a collar?” Kellen muttered out loud, not really thinking about where he was.
Rhys’ face went red. “What did you just say?” Rhys asked as the doors opened and they stepped out into the Guiding Division.
Brent should be here with the students having a lesson on food safety, or at least something along the lines.
Kellen didn’t mind as long as the topics got covered, and he trusted Brent. That wasn’t his bigger concern right now. Kellen leaned against his cane, covering his mouth with his free hand. “I…said that out loud?” Kellen whispered and Rhys’ eyes deepened.
Kellen could already feel him glancing around for a free room.
“Uh, Rhys, I should-” “We just need to have a talk.” Rhys cut him off.
“I know you’re busy, but if I don’t get an answer to that, I’m going to not be focused for the rest of the day.” Rhys warned, his voice holding a hint of an edge to it, and Kellen swallowed. Fuck.

Alright.
He could do this.
He could tell Rhys what he was thinking about.
It’d be fine.
Rhys would…fuck, how could he be normal about it?
Kellen wasn’t even sure why his mind even went to a collar.
He was the one who told Rhys all the time that he wasn’t a monster, and he didn’t hold his leash. If he got him a collar, that would play into everything that everyone said about him.
Kellen would hate that, but….It would tell everyone that Rhys belonged to Kellen. Rhys was still looking around for a free room, knocking as he needed to until he heard no response and he pulled open the door.
Thankfully, it was truly empty and Rhys shuffled them inside, locking the door behind them.
Rhys pressed Kellen against the wall, far enough away that no one would be able to listen in on them. Kellen knew that their behaviour must have drawn the attention of others.
There was no way that it hadn’t.
This was the Guiding Division.
Everyone was in everyone’s business here. Kellen’s gaze raised to Rhys’, his heart racing in his chest.
He was sure that Rhys could hear it.
Rhys’ expression was soft, but still carried that hard edge to it. “What did you mean by that, Kellen?
A collar?
Who is it for?” Rhys asked carefully, and Kellen flushed.
He looked away, his throat working as his hand pressed against Rhys’ clothed chest.
Kellen was only wearing Rhys’ jacket still, but Rhys had buttoned it up.
It was a little too big for Kellen, especially after guiding Taylor while she healed him, but that just meant that Rhys looked really fucking good in just his shirt. Fuck. Kellen could feel his eyes wandering over his shoulders and the way those damn buttons were straining against the width of his chest.
He was not a teenager anymore!
“Uh.
Well, I was just thinking about…” Kellen swallowed.
Did it sound bad if he admitted it?
Would he look bad?
Would Rhys judge him?
“What were you thinking about, Kellen?
Why a collar?” Rhys was insistent, and Kellen knew it was because he didn’t know what was going through Kellen’s head.
Flushing even more, Kellen met Rhys’ gaze, which appeared desperate for an answer. “I…hate the way that others look at you sometimes.” Kellen muttered.
“That fucking Guide from Guiding Center A was looking at you like you’re a snack and he wanted to eat you.
That’s unacceptable.
I was just thinking about things that could…mark you as mine.” Rhys’ jaw dropped. His whole face turned bright red, and Kellen swore his eyes dimmed in colour, almost disappearing into the hazel his eyes could be.
He covered his mouth with his hand, taking a step back and Kellen took a moment to really look him over. Kellen hated that he was so damn perfect.
He knew exactly why that man had been looking at him, but damn it, he was Kellen’s pair.
No one should even look at him besides him. “Holy shit.
Um.
The collar was…for me?” Rhys asked carefully and Kellen nodded.
Rhys dropped down suddenly, crouching as he covered his face.
Kellen grew worried immediately. “Rhys?
Are you alright?” Kellen asked.
He couldn’t follow him down, even if he wanted to.
Taylor’s voice and angry green gaze haunted him. “Fuck.
I-I’ll be fine.
Just…just give me a sec.
I think my heart is about to burst.” Kellen grew even more concerned at his words, but waited like Rhys told him to.
When Rhys finally sighed, pushing his hair back from his face to look up at Kellen, he had a wide, happy grin on his face.
“You want to mark me?
You want to give me a collar?” Kellen flushed, swallowing as he nodded. “I…I don’t want some dumb idiot getting close to you thinking you aren’t taken.” Kellen muttered quietly and Rhys covered his mouth again.
He looked like he was going to cry again, and Kellen grew even more concerned.
“Is that a bad thing?
Are you alright?” Kellen asked and Rhys stood up quickly.
He wrapped his arms around Kellen, pulling him close carefully, but quickly and burying his nose into Kellen’s throat. “Fuck.
You can mark me however you want.
Normally, it’s a ring, but I don’t mind a collar either.” Kellen felt his whole face go bright red at Rhys’ words.
Rhys pulled back, grinning stupidly at Kellen.
“You can do whatever you want.
I’ll accept any mark you give me.
Fuck.
I wanted to propose first.” Kellen’s jaw dropped. “T-That wasn’t a proposal!” Kellen shouted and Rhys laughed. “It wasn’t?
Are you taking it back now?
I’m going to be devastated.” He was teasing him, Kellen could tell. “Y-You don’t propose without knowing that you’re doing it.” Kellen was floundering, flustered as he realised what his own words had sounded like.
No fucking wonder Rhys thought he was proposing, and holy shit, what an awful way to do it.
In the fucking elevator?
Quietly?
Kellen wanted to reverse time and smack his former self. “Oh?
So was that just…practise?” Rhys offered and Kellen nodded aggressively.
He would take any out right now.
Rhys laughed, pressing his head against Kellen’s shoulder again.
“Alright.
I’ll take that excuse for now.
Damn it.
I’m so freaking happy.
You want to mark me as yours?
That’s so fucking hot.
Oh my god.
I didn’t know being someone’s possession could make me this happy.” Kellen’s heart was beating out of his chest. “You aren’t-I just-I don’t want others to think that you are on the market anymore.” Kellen muttered quietly.
“I don’t like how I feel when I’m like that.” He admitted.
“I felt like I was…I don’t like having violent thoughts like that.” Kellen told him and Rhys made a noise as if he understood. “Ah.
I get it.
Should we get something to mark each other as taken?
Rings might be too soon, and collars…I might be killed by your parents.
I’ll…think of something.
Like a promise ring or something.
Totally not engagement rings.” Kellen flushed at his teasing tone. “You aren’t allowed to tell anyone about this.” Kellen muttered and Rhys scoffed. “Oh, I’m telling everyone.
This is fucking adorable.
I’m telling Hill first.
She’ll love it since she saw what you were like.” Kellen reached up and grabbed Rhys’ hair with a firm grip and Rhys chuckled.
“Harder, Sweetheart.
I don’t mind when you tug on my hair.” Kellen growled, pissed, and instead covered Rhys’ mouth with his own.
If he couldn’t shut him up one way, he’d use another.
CREATORS’ THOUGHTS CalyB Rhys is going to walk around with his whole chest out, grinning like a fool for days.
Kellen’s going to die from embarrassment.
