Chapter 77: Tormenting the sweet boy with the Captain Chapter 77: Tormenting the sweet boy with the Captain The next stop for the two was a nice, private café within the shopping district known for their fruit tarts and tea selection.
The Captain had specifically chosen this location because he had heard of the tea selection, and wasn’t disappointed by the child-like wonder that originally crossed Kellen’s face when he’d seen the rows upon rows of glass jars upon the shelves behind the counter.
He was a little disappointed when his face shifted from wonder to calculating as he looked over the menu, but he held his tongue, watching the younger man.
Kellen, however, was trying to remember if he’d heard of this café before.
Something about it just felt…familiar. Everything became clear, including the strange behaviour of the shopkeepers in the area, when Kellen caught a pamphlet out of the corner of his eye.
He went pale, before nudging the Captain.
The Captain, who had been enjoying his time observing Kellen, was a little upset to have to stop even for a second.
As soon as he picked up the pamphlet which had been just out of Kellen’s reach, he laughed.
Kellen’s parents were plastered all over the advertisement for the shopping district.
They had even visited this café before and were quoted saying “they had the best tea selection across 10 nations”.
The Captain could tell that Kellen was now uncomfortable being here, but he wasn’t going to let his silly worries about being noticed get in the way of the great time they were having.
The Captain would have to distract Kellen.
And so he did.
He ordered a tasting flight of teas, along with the tasting flight of desserts.
They were both exclusively for Kellen, and when they arrived, he took all of Kellen’s cutlery and forced the man to move closer to him so that he could feed him by hand.
The man was a mess, and a shade of red that really, truly, complimented his blue eyes.
The Captain could have sworn his eyes had gone sky blue a few times as the Captain licked the fork he’d been feeding Kellen with, but he kept that to himself.
Playing with Kellen brought out a side to himself he hadn’t had for a long time, and he enjoyed it.
Almost as much as Kellen’s reaction. The man thought getting back at him was stealing the fork from him and feeding him by hand in return.
He was too cute for his own good.
The Captain made sure to draw the fork out of his mouth extra slow to watch how flustered Kellen became.
It was easy to tell that Kellen had never been in a relationship prior to him, and as much as the Captain wanted Kellen to experience everything good in life, he was quite glad that he hadn’t.
He liked being Kellen’s first, probably a bit too much.
He also knew that if Kellen ever asked, he would tell him in a heartbeat.
In fact, he wanted Kellen to ask.
There was a nagging part of him that wanted Kellen to know everything about him.
He wanted him to know how much he desired the man, body and soul, but was worried his feelings would be too overwhelming for him. So he let his feelings out in small gestures, knowing full well that the need to consume him, become everything Kellen desired, needed, and thrived on pulsed beneath his skin until his flesh itched.
He had desires to have the man under him, panting and needy, his eyes hazy with desire only directed at him while the man whined only for him.
But he also knew he was new to this, and he wanted Kellen to know that every step they took, every movement into the direction where Kellen ended up in his bed, covered in cum and sweat, wasn’t in the direction of just a pairing.
The Captain was out here working, begging, pleading with the man to realise that being in a romantic relationship, where this ended with them happy and in each other’s company for the rest of their lives, was the right outcome.

He just also knew he’d been pining after the man for so long there was a chance he could fuck this all up.
He was good at controlling himself, but Kellen’s night of side effects was a good example that his control could slip.
It had only happened for a second, but the bite mark was a testament to how much he wanted Kellen for his own.
He wanted to mark him, squeeze him, possess him, own him.
He wanted that man to wear his brand for the rest of his life, and he was having a hard time not being like other S Classes.
They had just claimed the people that they had wanted, like monsters.
Hell, he knew he was one, but he was lucky.
He had the ability to turn the crank back on his insanity, even when it felt like an overwhelming pulse in the back of his mind.
But he knew he was one mistake away, at the wrong time, from whisking Kellen away against his wishes and having his way with him.
It wasn’t something he truly wanted, at least, he believed so, since seeing fear in Kellen’s eyes directed towards him would shatter something inside of him. So he wasn’t going to let it happen.
If it ever came down to it, he would hurt himself before he would hurt Kellen.
Even if it cost him an arm or a leg, Kellen was worth it.
Even if he had to nurture that feeling in him until he bloomed.
But only if he bloomed for him.
Only for him. They finished up at the café and headed for a park nearby to walk and digest their food.
The Captain took advantage of this time to hold Kellen’s hand and walk under a clear, beautiful sky in the open.
Kellen, for his part, had remained slightly flushed since the desserts, and the Captain was enjoying the view.
Despite the simple clothing Kellen wore, it clung to him like a second skin, especially the jeans.
The Captain had noticed how others had stared at the Guide, while the man himself had been oblivious.
In fairness, the man had filled out.
Kellen had always worn his full Field Guide uniform on the front lines, so many couldn’t see how caked up the man actually was.
But without the uniform, and the loose fitting uniform he’d worn at Guiding Center B, it was clear the man had a body anyone would be envious of.
And he permitted the Captain a chance to touch it.
He was a lucky man. The Captain whistled as they walked in the park, and ignored the strange, curious looks that Kellen kept shooting at him.
The two didn’t speak often throughout the day, but simply enjoyed each other’s company.
After they finished walking around the park, the Captain took Kellen to another store.
This time it was a shoe store, and Kellen had the same awkward experience of being treated like a doll while the Captain had the time of his life outfitting him.
He liked dressing Kellen up, and it soothed a part of him to know that Kellen’s new wardrobe would be things that he’d picked out for him.
Not someone else.
Kellen seemed to be putting up with him, and the Captain appreciated it.
He would make sure to reward the Guide for his good behaviour later.
Oh, he’d noticed every look that Kellen had given him all throughout the day, and if Kellen was wondering if it was intentional, it was.
He was training him.
Training Kellen so that he would learn that the Captain delivered on his promises, especially if they were sexual.
But not right away.
Kellen needed to be full of desire for him.
So full that he didn’t know what to do with himself.
It was a little selfish, but he really wanted all of his hard work to result in Kellen pouncing on him in a public place.
Kellen openly marking and declaring to others that the Captain was his?
Oo, the thought alone made the Captain weak in the knees, and his grin a little feral. Shoe shopping led into watch shopping, which led into accessory shopping, and by the time their reservation rolled around for dinner, the Captain could tell Kellen was exhausted.
He was pushing his luck, but he promised to Kellen that this was the last stop before they headed home.
They had to take the car out of the parking lot and drive a few minutes away, into a district known for high quality restaurants, and the Captain was pleased to find that as much as Kellen was unaware of most things involving dating and romance, he wasn’t ignorant to food.
He was fairly certain that had to do with his Father though.
The restaurant he’d made a reservation at had owed him a favour, and snuck him in at the last minute because he had asked.
They had slightly private rooms made specifically for people like the Captain and now, Kellen.
People, who if they had sat among everyone else, would have been swarmed and pestered.
The Captain wasn’t exaggerating.
It was clear from the reaction of everyone as they walked through the restaurant that it would have been the case.
Kellen, even as he wandered in with big, curious eyes, also noticed the stares he received.
He seemed embarrassed, and the Captain knew he was going to have to somehow change that embarrassment into pride.
He wasn’t sure how he was going to do it, but he knew he had to. Once settled in, the Captain gave up the reins.
He wasn’t going to pretend that this was his world, and it seemed like he had surprised Kellen with how easily he had given up control.
It appeared to be a good kind of surprise though, since the Guide tossed him a stunning smile, his eyes narrowing in pleasure as he picked up the menu and moved closer to the Captain on the booth, until their shoulders were touching.
The Captain hadn’t thought he would be rewarded so quickly, and took every inch he got.
He pushed for more, in fact, placing his hand on Kellen’s thigh and a shiver went up his spine when the man didn’t flinch, but his cheeks turned slightly pink.
Pushing for more and more, he leaned his head against Kellen’s shoulder, sighing when the man below him didn’t protest.
It was pure bliss, this time with him.
Especially after the week they’d had, and the news he’d heard. No, he wasn’t going to taint the day with his worries.
He would rather drown in the time he had with Kellen then worry about the future.
He was here and now, and it would be a disservice to the man who was slowly opening up to him. Kellen ordered the food, drinks, and everything in between.
He was ecstatic, chatting away to the Captain about the food pairings and the wine and everything in between.
The Captain had expected that Kellen wouldn’t have as vast of knowledge simply because he had viewed food as fuel, but he had been wrong.
He should have known better.
Guides had a different, strange view on food compared to Espers, something Kellen had brought to the front of his mind when he had first joined him for lunch, and then every time after, but especially the night before.
The joy on his face when he had cooked with his Father told him that food was a fuel, but it was also a passion.
Kellen had few of them, and few that he had been able to keep while on the front lines, but from Brent’s comments, he hadn’t let go of food out there.
It made the Captain happy to note that the man left some things for himself. He was even more surprised when Kellen remembered his tastes and ordered mostly vegetarian dishes, with a few dishes thrown in for variety.
Kellen even ordered them the orange tart on special, and something melted within the Captain.
He would do anything for this man, who looked at him with slightly hesitant eyes, but firm gestures.
The way he knew that Kellen’s pulse quickened beneath his skin at a simple touch, and the way his teeth worried his bottom lip…wait a minute.
That was his job. CREATORS’ THOUGHTS CalyB Just a sweet chapter taking another sneak peak into the Captain’s mind.
I know the last one wasn’t too long ago, but I thought it was well deserved.
