Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO - Chapter 284
Chapter 284:…so suffocating.

“Celebratory envelope?” Ryan paused at that.
He didn’t know one was delivered to him.
Usually, all the invites and notes like that are sent to the Foster Residence and her mother took care of them.
Why would suddenly someone send it to his place. Zenith hummed, explaining.
“Yes, the red one that comes with a note card inside.” She paused briefly and then added.
“It seems like someone has kept it here for you.
It has your name and…” Her voice trailed off as if she was trying to look for something else. “And?” Ryan probed. “And there is the sender’s name at the bottom,” she said as she read further.
“It says ‘Winslow’.” Ryan halted at that name.
He didn’t need time or any energy to recognize that name.
He has that name constantly on his mind recently. When Zenith didn’t hear him, she thought she wasn’t being clear enough.
Hence, she reiterated, “The sender goes with the name Winslow.
That’s quite a unique name as we have never heard it often.
Sir, do you know someone with that name?” She asked, skeptical.
If her boss wouldn’t know anyone, it would only mean two things.
Either this was anonymously sent and could impose threat to her boss, or maybe she was known and this envelope wasn’t for him, which further means she would have to drop it of at the security desk. “Sir, you are still there?” Zenith asked again when she didn’t hear Ryan confirming even after a moment. “Zenith,” Ryan’s voice came more with a force that startled Zenith on the other wind of the call.
She would have affirmed her presence, but before she could she heard him add, “Leave than envelope inside on the table.
I will check it when I return.” “Oh€¦” Zenith didn’t know what changed her boss’s mood but she could tell he was grim at that moment.
His voice sounded more like a growl and she was so startled that she didn’t even grasp her own reaction.
Once she did, she composed herself and quickly reacted in a right manner.
“Okay, sir.
I will take the envelope inside with the files and leave it on the table.” Ryan grunted and after that hung up the call.
After he pushed the phone back in his pocket, his facial features hardened while his fingers clenched.
Winslows.
He didn’t need to ask it around anyway.
He knew who was looking for him. *** Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, at East Serenity Residence, Margaret stared at the old lady who sat in the living hall, looking serious.
It’s been a while since the call has been hung up, the tension that it stirred hasn’t dissipated. “Madam, it’s time for your dinner.
You should get it done so that you can have your medicine in time,” Margaret said, trying her best to make the old woman realize the time. Brenda gaze darted to the clock on the wall and her brows furrowed in displeasure.
But she didn’t say anything.

She simply sat that, pondering over something. “Madam -” Margaret thought to try again but before she could even utter a word, Brenda words snapped at her.
“It’s fine, if one day I don’t take it one time.
I won’t die.” Margaret got momentarily silent, but then she spoke again, “Madam, you can’t do that.
The doctor has clearly said that you need to take your meds on time without missing a day.” her words came so patient and calm, it seemed like she had trained herself like that for years. And it wasn’t false.
Staying with Breda for all these years, Margaret has trained herself according to her every mood.
Now, no matter how badly the old woman chided her or snapped at her, she didn’t feel anything.
She would handle it with all the world’s patience and calmness. “Margaret -” Brenda was about to snap once again, but right at that instant, Arwen’s voice came from the entrance, halting her in her phrase. “Granna!” she spoke softly as she slowly strolled inside the house.
“Are you again bullying, Aunt Margaret?” Brenda hadn’t expected Arwen to arrive at this hour, so when she saw her there, she quickly adjusted herself and exchanged a gaze with her assistant to say, “Am I bullying your aunt Margaret?” Arwen’s gaze darted to look at the middle-aged lady and then turning back to her grandmother, she replied, “Yes, if you don’t explain then that’s how it seems like.
I walked in just at the time when you were about to chide Aunt Margaret.” The old woman rolled her eyes as she gave Arwen a look and said, “If I truly wanted to bully your Aunt Margaret, do you think she would be still standing here with her eyes so dried up?” She scoffed haughtily.
“Don’t forget who I am?” her lips tugged up in a smirk as she added, “I am Brenda Davies.
If I truly comes to bully someone, even his ancestors won’t be able to save him or her.” Arwen’s lips pursed as she stared at Margaret before shaking her head at the dramatic attitude of her grandmother. “What?” Breda probed, raising a meaningful brow at her.
“Am I lying?” She then turned to look at her assistant and narrowed her eyes at her.
“Margaret, what do you think?
Am I lying?” Margaret was puzzled for a second but then understanding, she quickly shook her head.
“Definitely not, Madam Davies.
You have once been known for this skill.
How can you be lying?” Brenda turned back to her granddaughter.
“Did you hear that, lass?
I have a history.
Don’t challenge me.” Arwen was speechless… Was she challenging her? Shaking her head internally, she nodded to her grandmother and then quickly said, “Fine, fine, I won’t retort that again.
My Granna is the biggest bully the history might have ever seen,” she said as she strutted to sit down across from the old lady.
“Now that I have accepted it, will you tell me what is wrong here?
I mean why the air in this place feels… so stuffy and suffocating?”
