Chapter 312: Who exactly are you looking for?
Emyr nodded immediately.
Ignoring the three people there, he quickly stepped forward and guided Arwen to his boss’s private elevator. Arwen was about to walk after him, but she stopped and turned to look back at the receptionist.
“Having some patience first is always better than having the regret later.
I hope you will always remember this from the next time.” The receptionist nodded, not daring to pull the same attitude from before.
She looked like all the blood had drained out of her body.
She thought to get on her knees to apologize, but it was as if Arwen never was looking forward to one. She instead walked away with elegance and confidence as all that happened didn’t matter to her at all. The receptionist regretted it immediately.
How did she not identify that aura before?
The woman clearly carried the air superiority.
Her attitude clearly evidenced that she was a lady of position. Seeing the door of the elevator finally close, the woman could no longer hold up.
Slumping on the floor, she waited for the clouds to fall on her because she knew that she could no longer escape the misfortune she brought on herself. Meanwhile, in the elevator, Emyr was really embarrassed.
Although he had apologized, he didn’t think it was enough. “Madam, I am sorry,” he apologized again.
“I didn’t handle them well.” Arwen turned to look at him and shook her head.
“You are not one to be blamed, Mr.
Ethan.
I came here unannounced.
And given how rare I come to the company to visit Aiden, it’s not strange that people doubt my identity.” Emyr shook his head.
“No, Madam,” he said.
“Sir has asked me to let everyone know about your identity the very first time to came here so that in future you face no trouble.
That receptionist was new here.
I missed relaying the boss’s orders to her and that’s why she was mistaken.” Arwen was not unreasonable.
She understood well what happened and she neither held Emyr responsible, nor that receptionist.
“It’s fine.
I don’t think in future anyone will get this chance again.” Emyr thought she was asking him to make the necessary arrangements needed for that.
He was ready to nod positively, but before he could, he heard her continue.
“In future, I will visit him often to let everyone know my identity by his side better.” Emyr blinked.
“You will be visiting often?” he asked and Arwen raised her brow humorously. “Can’t I?” Emyr shook his head.
“No, Madam.
I didn’t mean to -” She smiled shaking her head at him.

“Since your sir is planning to act like a kid and not have meals on time, I have no other way but to come here and make sure that he eats his meals on time.
So, yes, I will be visiting often from now on.” Understanding what she meant, Emyr nodded.
Seeing him nod, she smiled again before her expression grew a little serious.
“By the way, Mr.
Ethan,” she began, “What’s happening recently?
Is the company facing any issues?” She was intending to ask this all this while.
But just as she voiced out the question, the elevator dinged, notifying her they had reached the said floor. As they stepped out, she kept her eyes on Emyr as if waiting for him to answer her.
Emyr understood her gaze.
Turning to her, he said, “The company is not facing any major difficulties, Madam.
It’s just that it’s going through a great shift that needs a lot of strategy analysis and selection process.
Since this idea had been set forward by sir against the will of the Board members, the responsibility lies on his shoulders.
We cannot take it lightly and that’s why Sir has been so busy recently.
He is making sure that all the promises he has made are kept and the board members cannot complain against the idea of shifting the headquarters to Cralens.” Arwen’s brows tugged together in concern.
“Did you have your lunch?” she asked. And Emyr nodded.
“Sir chooses to skip it, but he always makes sure that everyone else in the team completes their meals on time.” Arwen sighed in the heart.
Nodding, she said, “Great then I will go and see that he has his meal as well.” With that, she turned to walk towards Aiden’s office.
Emyr followed her and reaching the door, Arwen said, “Thank you, Mr.
Ethan.
You can return to your work first.
I will go inside myself.” Emyr gave a polite nod and then turned to head back to his desk.
Arwen standing at the door, knocked first.
But even after minutes, when there came no approval, she pushed the door open and walked in. Her eyes immediately caught Aiden behind his desk.
His chair was facing the glass wall with his back facing the door.
He seemed to be busy on some call and hadn’t seen her coming.
Hence, walking in Arwen waited for him to finish it.
She didn’t make a noise and just walked to take a seat on the couch on the side. As she sat on the couch, her eyes fixed on the glass that was reflecting Aiden’s image.
Her brows tugged in a frown when she noticed how dark he looked.
It was as if he was holding himself back from causing the destruction that would leave the world in ruins. Was he furious? Arwen was thinking when she heard him say through gritted teeth.
“Even if they are buried in the depths of hell, then too I want them.
Not even the Hades holds the power to hide them from me,” he growled. And his words like that sent a shiver down Arwen’s spine.
Her brows furrowed deeper as she stared at him, trying to analyze who he was looking for.
But she couldn’t bring herself to think enough. And right then, she saw him hanging up the call.
He turned his chair back and just as he did, their eyes met and she questioned, “Who exactly are you looking for?”
