Chaos Devourer System - Chapter 62
Mana Cultivation Class
“The Fight…is a Draw.” The instructor’s voice rang out through the dojo.
A faint murmur could be heard from the cadets who were dissatisfied with the results.
They could feel the growth in strength Mason had which would no doubt defeat Zeras but the Instructor called off the fight before that could happen.
“Both of you have equal strength and your battle experiences are also the same. That’s why it’s a draw.”
Mason slowly went back to his seat with no grudge or anything like that on his face. Only a small confident smirk could be observed.
Zeras also went back as he sighed softly.
He could tell if he had fought Mason after he activated that racial ability of his. Then he would have had to resort to Bio-morph to beat him which will cause him to expose his genetic ability so soon.
If it was possible, then he would like to keep his genetic ability as secret as possible because he wasn’t sure how the EIA would react if they knew he was a shape-shifter.
To him, the instructor calling off the match was a good thing.
“So that’s it for today, students. Today is only an introduction, we will begin the real class tomorrow. Of course, Combat Class is very important and compulsory for the first week. After this week you might choose to to not come based on the final department you choose.
So let’s meet here once again tomorrow at this time. And you can all address me as Instructor Draco.” The Instructor said as he once again sat on the futon and closed his eyes.
The students slowly stood up as they all moved towards the exit. Zeras also moved out of the dojo as he suddenly felt a hand resting on his shoulder.
“That was amazing, man…” Quinn said looking at him, his eyes no doubt looking like a puppy’s beneath that blindfold.
“You were good yourself. Teleportation, heh?” Zeras said.
“Nah, it’s nothing. I didn’t even remove my blindfold, remember?” Quinn said pointing at his eyes as they both chatted their backs soon disappearing.
Unknowing to the students, Instructor Draco’s eyes were opened as he looked at the back of a particular figure among the disappearing students, with doubt in his eyes.
“For a second, I felt it within him. That energy. It is different from Mana. It was the energy of…Dark matter. But that’s impossible…” Instructor Draco said as he closed his eyes once again.

“So we’re given an hour break. Where should we spend that…” Quinn asked Zeras as they both looked at their watch.
<Notification>
<An hour break before the next class…>
“What say we go to the Cafeteria…” Quinn offered as Zeras gave a nod. He had not eaten since the morning.
He couldn’t help but notice something strange. Ever since he had broken through to the Early Star rank stage. He had been less inclined to eat food and could go long hours so far that he had Mana within him.
The duo dragged forward towards the direction of the cafeteria as they laughed occasionally with Quinn being an unstoppable shatter box.

The cafeteria was almost filled to the brim with new cadets. It seems they were not the only ones to think of going to the cafeteria.
Zeras and Quinn arrived before the waitresses as they ordered the Mizashi Twale with two fruit juices.
Zeras picked up the large tray as they found one empty table in a corner.
Zeras immediately grabbed one of the slices as he dipped it into his mouth. Even though he longer felt as hungry as he felt before, he still enjoyed the pizza-like food very much.
“So where is your friend?” Quinn asked as they ate.

“Who?”
“That Elvian friend of yours. Triton Elvianor, I think?” Quinn asked trying to remember what Triton’s name was.
“Yeah. I didn’t see him during the drills but I saw him in the combat class. He’s pretty strong and he defeated his opponent too.” Zeras said absentmindedly.
He truly saw Triton during the Combat class and even waved to him, but the boy didn’t answer, probably due to not seeing him or for some other strange reasons he wasn’t aware of.
“You know he might be in…” Quinn was about to say but was caught off by the presence of a stranger standing beside them.
Zeras looked up and he saw it was the dragon boy that almost suffocated him during the drills.
“Can I use the seat?” The boy asked as he looked at Quinn with the tray in his hands.
“Um…Sure.”
“Thank you…” The boy dropped the tray on the table as Zera’s eyes almost popped out looking at the amount of food.
The tray was filled to the brim with strange red-colored meat and some vegetables. It was so full, that he was sure even five humans wouldn’t finish the food if they all ate it.
“Are..you… going to finish all that…” Zetas asked shocked and speechless.
“I am. It should satisfy my appetite for the next five hours at least…” The boy said with a smile.
“You really are a dragon…” Zeras said as he looked at his golden snake-like eyes.
“Anyway, I’m Vornek Roosevelt.” He said with a smile.
“Oh, you’re the third on the rankings?” Quinn said with familiarity.
“Yeah, just below you,” Vornek replied as he began digging into the food.
Zeras couldn’t help but notice the way the boy’s mouth widened every time he opened his mouth.
The mouth widened more than a normal human’s as he dipped a crazy amount of food which would have taken Zeras five times to eat if he used his hands but Vornek devoured all that with a single gulp.
His hair stood in the end as he watched the gigantic tray get emptied in less than ten gulps.
Zeras unconsciously raised his body slightly as he couldn’t help but try to check Vornek’s stomach.
He was expecting it to have swelled up like that of a pregnant woman but the stomach was as flat as ever, not changing at all a single bit.
“Um.. where did all that food go…” Zeras asked shocked as Quinn burst into laughter.
“Well, you know we dragons are naturally bigger than you humans. So we need to eat more than you do. What you both are eating won’t even fill the gap between my teeth…” Vornek said in disdain looking at the small Trawl that Quinn and Zeras shared even though to Quinn it was still a lot.
“You don’t look any bigger than I am…” Zeras looked at Vornek as he sized him up and down.
“Come on, this is my humanoid form. My dragon form is bigger than this, but transforming into my dragon form is inconvenient and takes too much energy. That’s why I use this form. The uniform is also partly the cause…”
A notification suddenly appeared on their watch.
Zeras looked at his watch and the notification.
<Notification>
<Mana Cultivation class begins in the next twenty minutes.>
“Oh, there’s a class like that?” Zeras asked excitedly.
“Yes… And it’s the most boring class of all the compulsory classes…” Quinn said.
