Chaos' Heir - Chapter 1162
Chapter 1162: Ass
Michael couldn’t help but freeze for a second at the sight of the empty moon, but his training quickly kick-started his brain, reminding him of his duties and the dangerous situation.
“Widen the scanners’ scope!” Michael shouted. “Find the Princ-!”
Michael couldn’t finish his line since a shocking scene unfolded on one of the holographic screens. His structure didn’t have a canopy, but Prince Khan was aware of its scanners’ locations, and he appeared before one of them.
Michael and his crew remained speechless, watching the fist filling and pulling away from the holographic screen a few times. In a different situation and environment, the soldiers would almost believe someone was knocking at their doors, but they were in space. That couldn’t have possibly been the truth.
Nevertheless, the knocking figure eventually retreated a bit, showing all of itself. The scanner captured Prince Khan, who waved at the structure to attract its attention. He then gestured a few times at his nose before pointing his finger forward.
To Michael’s shock, he actually understood what was happening and what the Prince wanted. He tinkered with the control desk, activating the mana barrier before opening the structure’s doors.
“Get ready to welcome the Prince!” Michael shouted, and all the soldiers on the bridge stood up, performing military salutes while facing the area’s entrance.
Michael was no exception, and holographic screens became useless when a foreign pressure invaded the structure’s insides. Breathing became difficult, but the soldiers managed to handle it.
After a few seconds, a naked figure appeared at the bridge’s entrance. Prince Khan breathed deeply, seemingly making up for the prolonged period spent on Zoyama’s moon. Still, the deadly endeavor didn’t seem to have damaged him at all. The Prince had some blood on his chest and neck, but the injuries that had released it had disappeared.
“I need a ride to Coravis,” Khan announced before noticing the few, occasional gazes that fell toward his crotch, “And some clothes.”
Prince Khan ran a hand through his long hair to pull it back, but the gesture reminded him of another issue he didn’t hesitate to address. “And tell the Empire to send me another crown.”
The crew didn’t forget their duties, but Prince Khan’s casual behavior did create some hesitation. The soldiers had just witnessed him surviving two nukes and staying in space for far longer than they had predicted. They couldn’t shrug that sight off so easily, especially when the Prince didn’t seem to care about it.
“You blew up my ride,” Khan reminded, pointing at one of the holographic screens still pointed at Zoyama’s moon. “I can’t fly back to Coravis on my own.”
Prince Khan’s words made sense, but he suddenly diverted his glowing gaze, seemingly calculating something in his mind. He tilted his head, crossing his arms before adding something. “Probably.”
Michael snapped out of his amazement at that point. He stepped forward, stiffening his military salute before lowering his head as deeply as his stance allowed.
“We apologize for firing at you, My Prince!” Michael shouted, speaking loudly enough for the soldiers in the other rooms to hear him. “We are glad that you came back unscathed.”
“I drew the security measures myself,” Khan said. “You did well.”
“We aren’t worthy, My Prince,” Michael shouted again, and the other soldiers also lowered their heads, imitating his stiff stance.
Prince Khan glanced at the leader before stepping forward and bending down to look at his face. Michael didn’t know what was happening but closed his eyes when the blue light filled his vision.
“You were in charge of the encirclement, weren’t you?” Khan asked, straightening his position. “Remind me of your name.”
Michael lifted his head and wore a stern expression before shouting for the third time. “Michael, My Prince! Michael Irrem!”
“Ah!” Khan cried, seemingly happy about something as he patted Michael’s shoulder. “Good name!”
Michael didn’t know how to react or what to be surprised about. He only knew Prince Khan’s gesture threatened to shatter his shoulder, and he had to muster the entirety of his strength to retain his military salute under that assault.
“I guess I can deal with talking with Garret,” Khan eventually said, crossing Michael to reach the control desk. His genetic signature had the highest clearance possible, so he only needed a few taps to summon the previously recorded scenes.
Prince Khan began to watch the events of the assault, paying special attention to the outcome of the first nuke. He looked quite interested in his sudden and instantaneous recovery and played it a few times to review it from every available angle. Yet, the bridge’s stillness eventually demanded his orders.
“Do you plan on continuing staring at my ass?” Khan wondered without gazing back at the crew. “I’m honored, but I don’t really swing that way.”
Michael snapped out of his stiffness and started shouting orders. “Get the Prince a change of clothes! Send word for our fastest ship in the encirclement to come here! Restore the channel with Coravis! Move! Move!”
The men on the bridge instantly got to work, and a mess of heavy, hurried steps resounded in the area. Only Michael remained with Prince Khan and promptly turned to apologize.
“Forgive us, My Prince,” Michael declared, lowering his head again.
Prince Khan didn’t address the matter but focused on the recording. Eventually, a label on the control desk lit up, and he pressed it to open the channel.

“Garret, do you receive me?” Khan asked.
“Loud and clear, My Prince,” Garret’s robotic voice resounded from the control desk’s speakers. “Are you okay? Do you need assistance of any kind?”
“I’m fine,” Khan reassured. “Michael Irrem is taking care of everything.”
“I’m glad you are alive and well, My Prince,” Garret claimed. “Was the mission fruitful?”
“Very,” Khan confirmed, tinkering with the control desk to summon a holographic star map. “I’ll send you some coordinates now. Start working on them until I get back.”
“It will be done, My Prince,” Garret promised before indulging in vague curiosity. “Did you find what you were looking for?”
“I did,” Khan announced. “Get my ship ready. I’ll depart soon.”
