Chaos' Heir - Chapter 1242
Chapter 1242: Kiss
The feelings seeping past the mental connection didn’t bode well, but Khan had to ignore them for now. He walked hand-in-hand with Liiza toward the ship’s entrance, opening its doors while activating the mana barrier.
The crew had isolated itself in appointed areas ever since the ship had entered the star system. Tamara was also with Zalpa, leaving a single variable. Ilman joined the couple at the open entrance, waiting on the opposite wall with his arms crossed.
No one spoke, but the tension in the area intensified when one of the ships among the surrounding fleet left the encirclement to approach the open doors.
The vehicle soon became close enough to study with the naked eye. It was a simple rectangular cargo ship built by humans, which parked itself right next to the opening. The two vessels joined their mana barriers, creating a walkable connection.
Khan didn’t know whether that meeting would be cold or heartwarming, but the reality differed from both options. As soon as the cargo ship’s doors opened, a metal cart rolled forward, entering Khan’s vessel and stopping right before the couple.
The cart featured supplies Khan recognized. They were ointments and spray cans meant to suppress the Nele’s pheromones. Of course, they weren’t for the Nele themselves. They had to be applied to anyone in their vicinity.
Khan glanced at the empty room on the other ship before grabbing one of the ointments. The Nele wanted to play it safe, but he had to abide by their traditions, too. Khan and Liiza were immune to the pheromones, and the Nele had to respect that.
“[Smear it under your nose],” Khan ordered, throwing the ointment at Ilman.
The Niqols grabbed the item and opened it, sniffing the brown substance it contained. It smelled far from good, but Ilman didn’t dare to complain after tasting the dangerous pheromones first-hand.
Khan turned toward the empty opening after Ilman finished applying the ointment, but nothing appeared. Instead, the metal cart spoke, releasing a robotic voice from its speakers.
“[You too],” The robotic voice said in the Nele’s language.
“[I found my one],” Khan responded in the same language, “[And my wife did, too].”
Khan didn’t need anything else to explain his point. The Nele valued that topic more than their own species, so they had to respect Khan’s decision.
A few silent seconds went by before the cart rolled back to the cargo ship, disappearing behind its entrance. The scene grew still, but a whooshing noise eventually seeped past the opening, accompanied by a purple light.
Multiple auras also touched the trio’s senses, and green figures soon appeared in their vision. Tall, graceful, fairy-like aliens wearing loose dresses covered in leaves and flowers crossed the cargo area, entering Khan’s ship while keeping their slender arms crossed behind their backs.
The alien group’s wariness was palpable, as was their cold and aloof demeanor. They looked ready for battle, but they all stopped before the purple light radiated by their hair clips and small lamps could touch the trio.
Ilman and Liiza had only interacted with Tamara, so the first real meeting with the Nele inevitably worried them. The newcomers looked anything but friendly, hinting at terrible consequences.
Meanwhile, Khan remained unfazed. He knew how the Nele were with strangers, but something else among the group reassured him. He recognized the stunning figure at its center, and her aloof expression slowly turned into a smile while her purple eyes remained fixed on him.
Jenna was as beautiful as ever, if not more. She looked more mature and was as strong as a fourth-level warrior now, but Khan only saw the perverted girl who had taught him her ways, other than teasing him to no end.
Liiza didn’t look at Khan but was able to follow his gaze anyway. She studied that enchanting central figure, partially mesmerized by her beauty. That loose dress tried to hide it, but Liiza knew she had finally met her mother’s match.
Jenna sensed Liiza’s gaze and ended up studying her, too. Her smile turned into a curious one while she inspected that dark blue figure, and her eyes widened when she spotted the white tattoos on her sleeveless left arm.
At that point, Jenna’s wide eyes snapped back to Khan, only for him to nod. Her smile broadened even more, and a sharp root fell from her back as she stepped forward under her companions’ surprised looks.
“[I couldn’t believe it was actually you],” Jenna announced in her language, accelerating her pace.
“[I told you you’d get the chance to annoy me again],” Khan smirked, but his eyes widened when Jenna leaped forward, flying at full speed toward him.
A fourth-level warrior couldn’t take Khan by surprise. He let go of Liiza’s hand to grab the flying Jenna, softening the crash as much as possible. Jenna didn’t care about that impact, and her arms went around Khan’s neck as soon as she landed on him.
Khan laughed, but the temperature in the area instantly dropped by multiple degrees. The change was so abrupt and steep that everyone but Jenna worried about it. The Nele began to shake, ready to intervene due to the clear threat.
“[Jenna]!” Khan called, but the alien woman in his arms didn’t listen to him and hid her face in his neck. A kiss even resounded through the freezing hall, and the temperature dropped even more.
“Husband,” Liiza said in her chilling tone, using human language to make sure everyone understood her. “Do you enjoy having fingers?”
Khan instinctively let go of Jenna, but she kept clinging to him. Nevertheless, she seemed content with that single kiss on Khan’s neck and slowly released him, straightening herself before him.
“[I missed you, Khan],” Jenna declared, still speaking her language.

“[Me too],” Khan admitted, “[But you’ll get us all killed if you keep this up].”
Jenna wore a playful smile but slowly diverted her gaze to her left, where the origin of that chilling temperature stood. She turned, facing Liiza in all her cold, threatening presence. A fourth-level warrior like her couldn’t do anything against Liiza, but she refused to shake.
“Did you place your lips on my husband?” Liiza wondered, slightly tilting her head. “Shall I remove them for you?”
Hearing that threat, the Nele group tried to move, but ice suddenly materialized around their feet, locking them in their place. The same went for Jenna’s legs, but she retained a calm, happy expression.
“Now that I see you,” Jenna announced, leaning forward, “I understand I could have never replaced you.”
Liiza wasn’t in the mood to accept those polite words. She had held back because of Tamara and because her species was dear to Khan, but the kiss had crossed her line.
Liiza glared at Jenna’s green lips, unable to think past what they had kissed, but they grew closer in her view, eventually landing on hers.
