Chronicles of Forgotten Extra - Chapter 55
Chapter 55: First Day at Academy (1) Chapter 55: First Day at Academy (1) “Haa,” I yawned, waking up from my sleep.
I covered my eyes a little as the sunlight peeking through the windows assaulted my eyes, forcing me to squint before my eyes adapted to bright light.
I looked around me and saw the spacious and luxurious room I was in.
The room was massive with wooden furniture and large windows.
I had moved to my assigned dormitory yesterday.
The dorm that was assigned to me was Solstice Hall.
There were five dorms in the academy-Solstice Hall, Lunaris Hall, Obsidian Hall, Ember Hall, and Noctis Hall.
The dorms were assigned based on the ranking of students.
Solstice hall to only top ten ranking students.
Solstice Hall was unlike other dorms on campus as it had eleven floors.
One whole floor is being allocated to each student.
The first floor was a common area, designed for all students in the hall to interact, train, and relax.
Each student’s personal floor was enchanted with magic, allowing for total privacy and individual space.
The top floor, of course, is reserved for the first-ranked student.
The Solstice hall had all the state-of-the-art facilities the academy had to offer and a student might need.
Each floor had its own cultivation room and training room.
The academy especially ensured that every student in Solstice Hall had access to the best resources to enhance their skills and strengths.
And if that’s not all, there was an even bigger training room in the combined area on floor one.
The combined training room even had magically enchanted dummies, which could be used as training partners.
Students could even request additional equipment or special training tools they need.
Overall, Solstice Hall was heaven for students and also motivation for low-ranking students to grow stronger so they could also enjoy such facilities.
The academy provided other dorm students with resources too, but it paled in comparison with this hall.
The accommodation of each year was in different parts of campus to avoid any conflicts between seniors and juniors.
Even the classes were held at separate places, and they could only interact with each other during club activities.
After channelling mana in the spirit pearl, which didn’t show any reaction today either.
I sighed as I put it back on the table.
I got up from my bed as I dragged my body towards the shower.
It had already been a week since the entrance test, and the academy was going to start from today.
I already felt tired from the thoughts of attending the academy for nearly seven hours a day.
The cold water droplets jolted me wide awake, making me feel refreshed.

I got out of the shower as I quickly picked up the uniform in my wardrobe.
The uniform was all black.
Shirt, suit, and even trousers were black, with only the necktie being red.
The tie had a small star-shaped symbol on it.
It was the logo of the academy.
This uniform was exclusively for top ten students, whereas other students had only black suits and trousers with their shirts being white.
Although the academy didn’t discriminate between backgrounds of students, it did it with strength.
Only ability mattered in this academy.
After getting dressed, I stood in front of the mirror.
‘Damn, I am looking extra handsome today.’ I muttered my narcissistic personality surfacing.
The academy’s all-black theme complemented my hair, and the colour of the tie matched my crimson eyes.
It looked as if the uniform was exclusively made for me.
After fuelling my narcissism a bit, I walked towards the kitchen.
Although the dorm had a cafeteria, everything in it had to be paid through credits.
So instead of paying credits, I preferred to eat by cooking something for myself, which was a lot cheaper than eating in the cafeteria.
I knew cooking; after all, it was an essential skill of being shut in.
I quickly made something simple for me to eat.
After having my breakfast peacefully, I checked the time on my ManaSync.
‘Hmm, there are only thirty minutes remaining.’ Today was the first day, so there weren’t many classes today.
The plot of the novel was already messed up, and there was no point in following it.
‘Not that I had any thoughts about following it in the first place.’ I walked out of my apartment as I heard the door click behind me.
I decided to go early as I didn’t want to be late on my very first day.
I didn’t need any keys or cards to unlock the door as it operated solely on my mana signature.
I walked through the hallway of the floor.
The floor had no other rooms.
The hallway was short as I soon arrived in front of Lift.
It worked similarly to its counterpart on Earth, except it didn’t have any cable connecting it.
It was operated using wind elemental runic stones.
Runic stones were natural resources of this world.
Unlike mana stones, which had ambient mana, runic stones had elemental mana in them.
I entered the elevator and pressed the ground floor button on it.
It only took a second or two before the door opened with a soft chime revealing the common area.
The common area was huge, consisting of different areas.
There was a huge lounge near the entrance, a cafeteria in the centre, and a training room in the back.
It was a space where students could interact with each other, relax, or engage in physical training.
There was only one male student in the cafeteria wearing a similar uniform as me, sitting on one of the tables having his breakfast.
He had ordinary brown hair and brown eyes.
He was the tenth-ranking student.
He was from a humble background and also one of the stronger extras of the novel.
His name was Aron.
I didn’t know much about him as he was just an extra.
He was the only person with a commoner background within the top ten in the novel.
But not anymore, as I am sure that this Nyx is also a commoner, as there was no noble family with the Ravenscar name.
Getting admission into the academy as a commoner was a great achievement, as unlike nobles who were trained from their childhood by experts, commoners didn’t have those facilities to train.
Even I was assigned a trainer, although only a few months before awakening, but commoners didn’t even have that facility.
Aron, feeling my gaze, looked in my direction.
I nodded towards him as I walked out of Solstice Hall.
The fresh air outside greeted me as I started walking towards the classrooms.
The campus was peaceful with only a few students on my way, as there was still half an hour before first period.
I took my time as I finally reached a huge building.
The building was big enough to accommodate tens of thousands of people.
There were a thousand students in the first year divided into ten different classes based on their ranking.
The classes were named from A to J, with each class having a hundred students.
My classroom was A1, signifying I am in class A of first year.
I walked inside the building as a long hallway greeted me.
There were classrooms on both sides.
It didn’t take long for me to find my class, as it was the first one on the right side.
I entered the class, seeing the class spotless without a speck of dust.
Every desk is arranged in neat rows.
I quickly walked to the second last row and took a seat near the window.
There were already a few students inside the class already.
But my gaze couldn’t help but be attracted towards the two female students sitting in the first row.
I immediately recognised them as I had read the description of them countless times when I was reading the novel.
They were both ranked within the top ten and were one of the harem members of the protagonist.
Both were beautiful.
The first girl was Aurelia Oceanheart.
She had wavy blue hair like water and deep blue eyes.
She was a member of the Oceanheart family, one of the ruling families of the Vallorian Empire.
They excelled in water magic, with Aurelia herself being a genius mage.
She was the niece of their patriarch.
The other girl was Cecilia Duskwood. She had shimmering brown hair and green eyes, which shone with curiosity.
Her father was the Guildmaster of Aetherbound, the top guild within the whole Vallorian Empire.
It was a platinum-ranking guild with her father being at Overlord rank….
Although she wasn’t from any of the five ruling families, she was a noble.
In the Vallorian Empire, nobility was kind of a premium subscription.
Anyone could become noble if they had enough money.
The Duskwood family was one of the noble families who had bought nobility rather than inheriting it.
I took out my ManaSync, bored as there were still ten minutes till the class began.
The students were pouring in one by one.
I could feel some gazes in my direction, but I just ignored it.
I just swiped through my ManaSync, looking through social media, ignoring the messages Aziel had sent.
‘I will finally get my answer today.’ I waited for the homeroom to start and to know who Nyx was.
