Chronicles of Forgotten Extra - Chapter 64
Chapter 64: Help, I Accidentally Flirted?
Chapter 64: Help, I Accidentally Flirted?
In a large stadium, a handsome boy was currently seated on a chair within the duelling area, his white hair shining, catching the light.
He was engrossed in his ManaSync.
He could be seen frantically typing something and giggling in between, chatting with someone.
‘How can she be so cute even when chatting?’ His thoughts were something along this line.
He was Lucien Celestrian.
The original protagonist of the novel.
Once a legendary hero.
A destined saviour.
A beacon of justice.
But now he had been turned into just a Simp caught in a trap by a witch.
Yes, a witch.
Her name, as you might’ve guessed, is Seles Draven.
‘Man, what am I even doing now, narrating the life of the protagonist?’ Alden thought as he quit his silent commentary.
Alden had been dragged by Aziel to watch the match in such a hurry, but for what?
The match had not even started.
So, naturally, he’d begun playing a little game-narrating Lucien’s downfall in real time.
And right now?
The downfall was looking tragic.
As for how he knew Lucien was talking to Seles.
That’s because Alden could see Seles also engrossed in her device, typing on the other side of the spectator’s seat.
The match was about to start; hence, Lucien had been instructed to move towards the main stage.
And without even a moment’s delay, he took out his ManaSync and started talking to Seles, from whom he had been separated just for a moment.
He was getting more and more annoyed seeing that stupid grin on Lucien’s face.
He wasn’t supposed to be like this.
But here we are.
‘Did Seles do some black magic or something?’ ‘No, that can’t be possible.’ ‘Lucien’s system protected him from any mind-affecting magic.’ ‘So why was he a simp?’ It was not like the butterfly effect could change a person’s personality.
And even if it could, how was it even possible to change so much within such a short time span?
Alden averted his eyes …unable to bear the scene of Seles acting all cute and Lucien acting like a simp.

His gaze turned to his side, where a beautiful girl was seated.
Amyra.
‘Why is she sitting here now?’ ‘Well, it’s probably because there is nowhere else to sit in the stadium.’ The stadium was packed with a crowd all eager to see the fight between two of the top-ranking students.
Alden let his eyes linger on her for a moment before turning away.
And that’s when it happened.
“Why do you always keep staring at me?” Alden heard an emotionless voice.
Alden blinked.
‘Wait.’ ‘Is she… talking to me?’ Alden was confused, he looked around him, but he saw no one Amyra could be saying that to.
Holy shit.
‘She is talking to me.’ Panic mode: activated.
‘F*ck, f*ck, think of a response-wait, why does she think I’m always staring?
‘ “I’m sorry, Princess.” Alden apologised, but his mind was racing.
“I was just fascinated by your beauty that I couldn’t help but stare.” What?
The moment the words left his mouth, Alden wanted to die on the spot.
How was he supposed to let her know that she was a villain and he was just curious about why she was acting differently?
So he just blurted out the most cliché line he had read.
His cheeks turned a beet red from sheer embarrassment.
He was happy Aziel had gone to buy some popcorn; otherwise, he would have taunted Alden with this line forever.
He lifted his head to see the reaction of Amyra.
He was expecting a cold face; she always had.
But instead She was blushing.
The heck.
Alden’s brain stopped working momentarily, not from her beauty but due to sheer disbelief.
‘Did that…
Did that cringe line actually work?’ Alden couldn’t believe his eyes.
This was not how things were supposed to go.
In his past life, he’d tried a similar line, only to be slapped so hard that he almost entered a parallel dimension.
But here?
Not only was Amyra not slapping him, she was actually blushing.
‘Is this because I’m so handsome that even a cold villainess can’t resist my charms?’ Alden’s narcissistic personality was surfacing, which he quickly suppressed.
“I’m sorry, Princess, I didn’t mean it like that.” He hurriedly added, trying to backtrack.
“So you mean I’m not beautiful.” Amyra’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
Alden froze.
Oh, shit.
Landmine detected.
Danger level: Extreme.
“No, no, that’s not what I meant…..I mean…you are beautiful, but-” He stopped.
‘How the hell did he even get here?’ Meanwhile, somewhere in the universe, Alden could feel a cosmic force laughing at his suffering again.
And once again, he thought bitterly.
‘F*ck you, author.’ Alden gulped.
This was dangerous territory.
His mind was currently swirling with many thoughts.
Why are girls so difficult to understand?
Although he had his fair share of experience with girls, that still didn’t make it any simpler to understand them.
What am I even supposed to do now?
Alden took a deep breath.
“I…I mean, you are beautiful,” he said, choosing his survival over pride.
“That’s why I was looking.
Obviously.” Although his expressions were calm, his soul was writhing with embarrassment he felt.
At that moment, Aziel returned with a ridiculous amount of popcorn and drinks.
“Bro, why do you look like you saw a ghost?” Aziel laughed, sitting down next to Alden.
Before Alden could respond, Amyra’s expression had shifted back to her usual cold indifference.
Alden blinked as he looked at her.
Just seconds ago, she had been blushing.
And now?
She was cold and indifferent again.
Amyra’s gaze flickered toward him again, but her expression remained blank.
But if Alden had taken a closer look, he would have noticed something.
The faintest curl of her lips.
Something unreadable in her eyes.
Satisfaction.
_ Without knowing anything about her reaction, Alden exhaled, ‘Thank god that awkward moment is over.’ “Here, have some.” Aziel gave a tub of popcorn to Alden before leaning forward excitedly.
“You’re going to love this match.
It’s going to be a bloodbath.” Alden didn’t doubt that.
Lucien was the protagonist after all, and there was no need to say anything else.
And Zephyr?
Zephyr was one of the strongest in the year.
To be honest, Lucien was only ranked higher than Zephyr both in the novel and in reality only because of the test.
In the test, they never came across each other.
Well, that was going to be the case for the beginning arc, after which Lucien grew a lot stronger than Zephyr.
‘Well, such is the life of the protagonist with a golden finger.’ Alden sighed and leaned back in his seat, deciding to just enjoy the show.
The announcer’s voice echoed throughout the stadium.
“Ladies and gentlemen.
The ranked match between Zephyr Drageon and Lucien Celestrian is about to begin.” A deafening cheer erupted.
Lucien finally stood up from his chair, putting away his ManaSync.
Alden saw Seles giggling from the spectators’ area, cheering Lucien and acting cute.
He resisted the urge to vomit.
Lucien stepped onto the stage, stretching his arms lazily as if he wasn’t just about to fight one of the strongest students in the first year.
Zephyr, on the other hand, was already on the stage, standing calmly with his posture upright, but his twisted expression caught Alden’s eyes.
“Hey, why did the fight even start?” Alden nudged Aziel.
Alden felt puzzled; as far as he knew, Zephyr’s personality, he would have saved more points and directly challenged Nyx, who was ranked first and not Lucien.
Aziel looked at Alden.
“Well, bro…” Aziel hesitated a bit.
“It’s because of Seles.” F*cking knew it…that b*tch was involved somehow.
“What exactly happened?” He asked Aziel for more details.
“I don’t know, bro…” Aziel continued, “But I heard a rumour that Zephyr was harassing Seles, and Lucien stepped in to help her.” Alden frowned.
‘Would Zephyr really do that?’ ‘Sure, the guy was a battle maniac, but a bully?
‘ That didn’t sound like him.
Then again, Lucien was a protagonist.
Defending a damsel in distress was right up his alley.
Still… something didn’t sit right.
Alden exhaled.
Seles.
‘If she was involved, there was a 99% chance something shady was going on.’ What even is she planning?
No matter how hard Alden thought about it his brain couldn’t understand what was going on in her mind.
‘Boom’ A deafening sound spread throughout the stadium.
The match has started.
______ Somewhere else within the spectator’s seat, a beautiful girl with black hair and blue eyes was seated.
Her expressions were cold and disinterested.
But a commanding presence was oozing out of her, making it difficult for anyone to even approach her.
Nyx Ravenscar.
She was bored keeping eyes on the students to find him Although she didn’t do anything to attract attention, as according to what she had been told, HE was a very cautious person.
She didn’t want to alert him.
But she still has been keeping an eye on all the top rankers.
There was even a fool in the top ranks.
His name-Alden.
She had caught him staring at her many times, but she simply ignored him.
‘That fool couldn’t be HIM anyways.’ Right?
There was nobody to tell Nyx that Alden was just curious about her origin and wasn’t bewitched by her appearance.
She was more interested in the two fighting on stage currently.
Especially the white-haired one-Lucien.
She had felt a mysterious aura from Lucien.
The aura felt somewhat similar to the fragment she carried but still different.
Is it him?
Although she found Lucien to be one of the most probable candidates, she still wasn’t sure.
That’s why when she heard there was going to be a ranking match, she came to watch.
‘Let’s see if you really are HIM…’ ________ Discord Server https://discord.gg/GbrJr2SS CREATORS’ THOUGHTS CrimsonFable Enjoying the story?
