Chronicles of Forgotten Extra - Chapter 65
Chapter 65: How to Start a Fight?
Chapter 65: How to Start a Fight?
Lucien was seated in the classroom waiting for Seles to arrive.
She had never been late.
Hell, she used to arrive half an hour early rather than late, but today was different.
He waited for her to come.
The other kids in the class were chatting with each other.
There were only few minutes left for the class.
When he saw Seles entering.
Her clothes, which used to be prim and proper, had wrinkles on them.
And mostly her face looked pale as if she had been through some horror, her cheek red not due to any blush but more like she had been slapped.
Lucien clenched his fist as he bit his lips.
His jaw was clenched as well.
‘Who the f*ck dared to do that to her?’ His anger was at its peak.
Right after Seles, he also saw Zephyr entering the class with a nonchalant expression.
There was nobody to tell Lucien this was all orchestrated by Seles.
She was waiting for Zephyr to come before entering.
She had even slapped herself to make it more real.
The reason?
She wanted Lucien to fight Zephyr.
Zephyr was considered one of the strongest of the generation, and Lucien, on the other hand, even after ranking third, was still called Unworthy Prince.’ She had seen him training many times since the academy started, and she was sure Lucien was stronger.
So, she wanted to wipe that tag off him.
But not for him but for herself.
She planned to make Lucien popular, after all, the more influence he has, the better it will be for her.
Lucien looked at Seles walking towards him, slightly stumbling sometimes.
He quickly got up and supported her.
“What happened to you, Seles?” Lucien asked, his violet eyes peering inside Seles.
Seles quickly averted her gaze as if hiding something.
“N-Nothing happened, Lucien.” Seles’s voice was weary as she continued, “I’m perfectly fine.” Lucien observed her closely.
Her eyes wandering without meeting his gaze, her small twitching of a finger when she lies, her unusually tired voice-they all hinted that something happened to her.

She was uninjured, but injuries could be healed with potions.
Who could do that to her?
She was from an influential family, so he was sure some random mob wouldn’t do anything to her.
Is he the one harassing my Seles?
Lucien looked at a boy with black hair and crimson eyes similar to Seles.
He was Seles’s half-brother.
And according to what Seles had told him about ‘Alden,’ he was anything but good.
Apparently that Alden guy had a duel with Seles’s twin brother and made him unable to attend the academy.
That was what Lucien had been told.
Lucien was a smart guy (according to him), so he quickly deduced the meaning behind that sentence.
He must’ve beaten Cedric so brutally that he was unable to attend the academy.
Lucien had anything but good feelings for Alden.
Is he after Seles now?
No… ‘I can’t let that be….
I’ll have to show him what happens when he harasses an innocent girl.’ That Alden guy irked him for some reason.
He felt annoyed every time he looked at the disinterested face of that guy.
Lucien didn’t know if it was him exactly, but he would find out soon, after all, he was smart (according to him).
Poor Alden did not even know that he had come on the wrong side of the protagonist.
But such was the life of a person who was an extra, always misunderstood.
Although he was anything but extra now, the curse of Extra was still with him.
Lucien looked at him with fury but failed to notice a slight smirk on the face of Seles.
They quickly took their seat as the class started right after.
___ In the academy cafeteria.
“Seles, please tell me what happened.” Lucien asked, “Was it your brother, Alden?” “Is he the one harassing you lately?” “No…no…he didn’t do anything.” Seles denied as she got up from her seat, “Something urgent came up.I’ll meet you later.” Seles walked out of the cafeteria, leaving Lucien alone.
Lucien was also going to go back when he heard some murmurs from the students.
“Hey, do you know, young Miss Seles is being harassed by that guy?” “Who are you talking about?” “You know Zephyr Drageon.” Lucien heard their discussion and immediately went towards the students who were chatting about that.
“Hey, what you said, is it true?” Lucien asked a black-haired boy.
“Yes, it’s true,” The boy continued, “Actually, I am from the Draven branch family, and that guy Zephyr harasses us all just because he hates our family.” “Young Miss tried to protect us but instead became his target.” The boy answered.
“I see…I see,” Lucien muttered as the student who was answering him shuddered just by seeing the face Lucien was making.
“SO IT IS ZEPHYR.” ___ Lucien’s eyes wandered to Zephyr, who was sitting in one far corner enjoying his meal.
Many other students surrounded him as if he were some kind of leader.
The other students were busy flattering Zephyr.
As not only was Zephyr strong, he was also talented.
Lucien’s anger reached the melting point as he strode towards Zephyr in anger.
His jaw was clenched as he could literally feel his blood boiling.
‘How dare that bastard harass an innocent girl like Seles?’ ‘I’ll make him pay…’ ‘I’ll show him what it’s like to be humiliated.’ He stood in front of Zephyr.
“Who is Zephyr among you?” He asked in an arrogant voice even after knowing who he was.
Zephyr calmly studied Lucien.
The Unworthy Prince.
Ranked third in the academy.
But Zephyr wasn’t interested in him.
Did he have to show respect to him?
No… Why?
Because although the imperial family ruled the empire, it didn’t mean it had complete authority over the ruling families.
Yes, the ruling family respected and followed the orders of the imperial family, but that didn’t make them subordinates of the Celestrian family.
It was more like a partnership.
“I am Zephyr.” Zephyr answered in his voice even more arrogant than Lucien, “What does the Unworthy Prince need me for?” He said sarcastically as all of his lackeys started laughing.
Lucien was ranked third, but that was only because he hadn’t met Zephyr in the test.
So Zephyr didn’t care much about Lucien, except thinking he was just lucky to not come across him.
Lucien looked at the towering figure of Zephyr, who stood up in front of him.
His golden eyes were peering in at Lucien, making him shiver a bit.
If it was Lucien from a previous life, he wouldn’t have dared to go against Zephyr.
But now his was different… He had grown stronger.
He wasn’t the same guy who had died from a heart attack.
He had a girl who he cared for.
And he wasn’t just going to stand by while she was being bullied by an arrogant bully like Zephyr.
“I see…I see…” Lucien didn’t say anything as he tensed his hands.
His adrenaline took control of him due to his extreme emotions.
He put all his emotions in his right hand.
He swung his hands.
‘Pak’ A sound resounded within the whole cafeteria as Lucien had slapped Zephyr, who was caught off guard, not thinking Lucien would dare to do something.
“You…” Zephyr screamed; this was the first time in his entire life he had been slapped by someone, and no less from a weakling.
“How dare you?” Everyone in the cafeteria was looking at Zephyr, that added to the shame and humiliation he felt.
He tensed the muscles in his hand…as he swung it with full force.
But Lucien was ready as lightning circulated within his body, increasing his speed momentarily as he dodged the attack with slight movement.
Just as Zephyr was going to launch another attack, a student wearing a pure black uniform with a blue tie appeared as he caught his punch with ease.
The student had bright red hair and crimson eyes.
His face had a sly smirk with his eyes narrowed.
Lucien recognised him immediately.
He was Rodrick Draven, brother of Seles and also the student council president of the academy.
He wasn’t present most of the time as he is busy being a final-year student.
But today he was coincidentally present to witness an interesting situation.
“What do we have here?” Rodrick spoke in a deliberately slow tone.
“A Drageon being so shameless to attack a student in the academy cafeteria.” Rodrick was the perfect definition of Pride.
Rodrick was too prideful about his family, and he deeply cared for its respect.
And seeing a chance to undermine an heir of the Drageon family, the long rival of the Draven family-how could he miss that?.
Zephyr shook his hand to break free from Rodrick’s grasp but Alas, how could an Initiate Rank break through the grip of a Master Rank.
“Calm down or I’ll have to give you a penalty.” He said calmly that although he hated the Drageon family, he was still student council president and had to manage conflict within students without any bias.
“He started it first…” Zephyr pointed at Lucien.
“I don’t care who started it, but if you want to fight him.” Rodrick said his sly smirk was widening.
“You have to pay Astra and challenge him to a ranked match.” Zephyr calmed down a bit as even Rodrick released his grip on his hands.
“Alright, I, Zephyr Drageon, challenge Lucien Celestrian to a ranked match.” Zephyr announced.
Although he had lots of Astra, he was saving them to fight Nyx and not this weakling.
But Lucien had called this upon himself.
“I will show him…what it means to humiliate me.” “Good, good,” Rodrick said.
“Lucien Celestrian, do you agree to have a ranked match?” “You have the right to deny it, but you’ll have to pay double the amount needed to challenge you.” Lucien didn’t have any intention to deny it, as he agreed without any hesitation.
“I hereby announce the ranked match between Zephyr Drageon and Lucien Celestrian will be held tomorrow.” Rodrick announced.
