Cosmic Ruler - Chapter 156
Chapter 156: A New Wolrd
Two girls darted through the dense jungle, their laughter echoing among the trees as they chased each other with nimble grace. The first, a girl with vibrant red hair tied in a ponytail, glanced back with a mischievous grin.
“Catch me if you can, Lina!” she teased, her voice light and teasing.
“I’m right behind you, Kara!” Lina replied, her blond hair flowing behind her like a golden ribbon. She surged forward, nearly closing the gap between them.
The jungle was alive with their playful noises—laughter, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional gasp of surprise as one narrowly avoided a branch or leaped over a fallen log. They flew with the ease of seasoned adventurers, the ground a blur beneath them.
Suddenly, Kara skidded to a halt mid-air, her eyes widening. “Lina, stop!”
Lina, caught off guard, barely managed to stop in time. “What’s wrong, Kara?”
Kara pointed downwards. “Look.”
Beneath them, in a small clearing bathed in dappled sunlight, lay a young boy, seemingly fast asleep. He looked out of place in the wild surroundings, his small frame curled up on a bed of moss and leaves.
Lina’s eyes softened with concern. “What’s a kid doing here all alone?”
Kara descended slowly, her wings beating softly to avoid making noise. “I don’t know, but we should check on him.”
They landed gently, their footsteps barely disturbing the forest floor. Kara crouched beside the boy, her expression shifting from curiosity to worry. “Hey there, little guy,” she whispered. “Are you okay?”
The boy stirred slightly but didn’t wake up. Lina knelt beside Kara, her brow furrowing. “He’s so young. What if he’s lost?”
Kara gently shook the boy’s shoulder. “Hey, wake up. It’s not safe to sleep out here.”
The boy’s eyes fluttered open, revealing deep blue irises that seemed to reflect the sky above. He looked at them groggily, a mixture of confusion and fear in his gaze.
“It’s okay,” Lina said softly, offering a reassuring smile. “We’re friends. We just want to help.”
The boy blinked a few times, his expression slowly relaxing as he realized they weren’t a threat. “Who… who are you?” he asked, his voice small and uncertain.
“I’m Kara, and this is Lina,” Kara said, gesturing to her friend. “What’s your name?”
“Aiden,” the boy replied, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. “I… I don’t know how I got here.”
Lina glanced around, worry evident in her eyes. “Aiden, do you remember anything? Where you came from, or if you were with someone?”
Aiden shook his head, looking down at his hands. “No, I was… I was with my sister, but then I woke up here.”
Kara and Lina exchanged a glance, both understanding the urgency of the situation. “Don’t worry, Aiden,” Kara said, her voice firm with determination. “We’ll help you find your sister.”
“That’s right,” Lina added, giving Aiden a comforting pat on the back. “You’re not alone. We’ll figure this out together.”
Aiden looked up at them, a flicker of hope in his eyes. “Thank you.”
Kara stood, offering a hand to Aiden. “Come on, let’s get you somewhere safe first. Then we’ll start looking for your sister.”
As Aiden took her hand, Lina smiled encouragingly. “And don’t worry, we’re pretty good at finding things. Right, Kara?”
Kara grinned, giving Aiden’s hand a reassuring squeeze. “Absolutely. Let’s go.”
As Kara and Lina led Aiden through the jungle, he mentally reached out to Nexus.
‘What the fuck is this? And why change my name?’ Jake—now Aiden—asked, confused by the situation. All the answers he had given to these two girls had come from Nexus’s sudden guidance.
[In short, your body was almost destroyed if not for Cube’s timely help. Second, this is a new world entirely different from Celestaria, so we needed a new name that suited this body’s identity. Lastly, you are now a powerless mortal, and these two are powerful awakened. I can sense energies flowing in them,] Nexus explained, keeping the information as concise as possible.

Aiden nodded mentally and asked, ‘Can we return?’
[To Celestaria, yes, we can. You just need to become powerful enough to travel through space,] Nexus replied, and Aiden sighed in relief.
‘At least I can return back,’ Aiden thought and clenched his hands.
Lina and Kara noticed the worry etched on Aiden’s young face. Lina smiled and knelt to face Aiden. “Don’t worry, we promise to help you,” she said assuringly.
Aiden nodded weakly, and Lina sighed before standing up. She turned to Kara and communicated through energy transmission.
‘He’s just a kid after all. Give him time to settle,’ Lina conveyed, her thoughts tinged with concern.
Kara nodded in agreement. ‘We should take him to our home. He needs a safe place to stay and recover.’
With a silent agreement, they decided to take Aiden with them.
Kara looked at Lina, who nodded in agreement. Kara then gently took Aiden in her arms, and from her back emerged two bright wings, shimmering as if made from glitter. The wings fluttered, scattering golden sparkles around them.
Aiden looked at the wings before looking ahead. They soared above the dense forest, the treetops blurring beneath them. After some time, Aiden saw a sprawling city with massive buildings, the sight making his eyes widen in wonder.
Lina and Kara landed at the city’s front gate, where a long line of people stood, waiting for inspection before being allowed to enter. Seeing this, Aiden frowned, worried about how he could prove his identity. Still, he stayed close to Lina and Kara, hoping they would help him navigate the situation.
As Lina and Kara approached the gate, the guard standing there suddenly bowed deeply. “Welcome back, Princess Lina, Princess Kara.”
Lina and Kara nodded coldly, their earlier playful demeanor replaced with an air of regal authority. They walked gracefully, exuding the presence of cold beauties, making Aiden marvel at how quickly they could change their appearance, like chameleons adapting to their surroundings.
He shook his head slightly, noticing the curious glances from others around them. It was clear that Lina and Kara were well-known and respected figures in the city.
As they passed through the gate, Aiden couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed by the sudden shift in atmosphere. Lina glanced down at him, her expression softening slightly. “Don’t worry, Aiden. We’ll take care of everything.”
Kara nodded in agreement. “You’re with us now. No one will question you.”
Aiden managed a small smile, feeling reassured by their words. As they continued walking through the city, he observed the towering buildings and bustling streets, feeling a mix of awe and apprehension.
They eventually arrived at a grand palace, its intricate architecture and opulent decorations leaving Aiden speechless. The guards at the entrance bowed deeply as the trio approached, opening the doors without question.
Inside, the palace was even more magnificent, with marble floors, gilded walls, and luxurious furnishings. Aiden felt like he had stepped into a fairy tale.
Lina led Aiden through the halls, finally stopping at a set of ornate double doors. “This will be your room for now,” she said, pushing the doors open to reveal a lavishly decorated bedroom.
Kara set Aiden down gently. “Make yourself comfortable. We’ll arrange everything for you.”
Aiden nodded, still in awe of his surroundings. “Thank you,” he said softly.
Lina smiled warmly. “Get some rest. We’ll discuss everything in the morning.”
As Lina and Kara left the room, Aiden lay down on the plush bed, his mind racing with thoughts of this new world and the challenges ahead.
” one thing I am sure of now” Aiden said.
[What?] Nexus asked.
” That we are in now Eastern Fantasy world” Aiden replied.
He guessed it the moment he saw the clothing of two sisters but still it was too early for him to judge but after going through the city and seeing the building structure he understood he is indeed inside an Eastern Fantasy world now.
[So, you think, this is now an Cultivation World?] Nexus said.
Aiden nodded and replied ” thats what I think”

Aiden nodded and then closed his eyes and fell asleep.
