Cosmic Ruler - Chapter 179
Chapter 179: Academy Dynamics II
The old man continued, “And it’s not just Five Kingdoms Academy; many academies, even smaller ones, have special seats reserved for kids like these.”
“Why though?” Aiden asked.
“It’s simple. Even if one day their spirits were to be locked by someone, they would still have a chance to fight back,” the old man explained. “Basically, these kinds of talents can’t be restricted.”
The old man then pointed to a particular kid who was eating a cake with a blissful smile on his face.
“His name is Wilhem. He’s a commoner born with a talent that allows him to heal his injuries just by eating. Eating can also replenish his spirit power,” the old man explained.
Aiden nodded, using his Akashic Insight to see what the old man described.

‘His talent is extremely helpful, but he doesn’t know how to use it,’ Aiden thought, looking at Wilhem.
“Now, look at her,” the old man said, pointing to another girl who seemed to be enjoying freezing the fountain water. “She can manipulate ice, even without manifesting her spirit.”
Aiden nodded as the old man introduced others. However, none of them caught his attention except for the chubby kid still eating the cake.
‘His talent is like my Origin Core. It can store and convert any energy he wants, but it seems he uses it instinctively,’ Aiden thought. ‘He probably acquired life force when he was injured. He must have wished for it to be healed, and his EnerGen reacted to it, converting food into life force to heal him. The same goes for spirit energy.’
‘I should scout him out. If I can find a way to replicate his talent, I would no longer need to worry about the energy of my Origin Core. Using this talent, I could easily replenish it whenever I want,’ Aiden thought as he approached Wilhem.
He observed the boy eating alone, likely because others disapproved of his eating habits or his chubby appearance, although he looked cute in his own way.
“Can I sit with you?” Aiden asked as he neared.
Wilhem looked up, seeing Aiden smile. He pulled his cake closer defensively and replied, “You can get yours from over there.”
Aiden’s lips twitched at Wilhem’s protective gesture and vigilant look. Nonetheless, he nodded and went to where Wilhem pointed, picking a large cake before returning to the table.
He placed the big rice cake in front of Wilhem and said, “Can I talk with you?”
Wilhem eyed the cake, then nodded as he took it. Aiden smiled and sat down with him.
“Can I ask what’s special about you?” Aiden asked.
Wilhem nodded. “It’s not a secret, so I don’t mind. I can convert food into healing and spirit energy, and it’s not my spirit skill.”
Aiden nodded in response, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. “I feel there’s more to your talent.”
Wilhem tilted his head and asked, “What do you mean?”
“Hmm, I mean, when did you first find out you could heal yourself?” Aiden asked, smiling as he saw Wilhem’s interest piqued.
Wilhem thought for a moment. “I once fell down the stairs and injured my knee. I cried, and then a green light flashed, and I was healed. But after that, I started feeling really hungry.”
“My father tested me, and they concluded I could convert food into healing energy,” Wilhem explained.
Aiden nodded and then asked, “What about the time when you used food to recover your spirit energy?”

“My father is a hunter, so he began to teach me how to hunt after I awakened my spirit. But one time during a hunt, I exhausted my spirit energy. I started panting and it hurt without the spirit energy, and then once again, a light flashed and my spirit energy was back to full level,” Wilhem said, gesturing with his hands to emphasize his story.
Aiden leaned in, intrigued. “So, your talent not only heals but also replenishes your spirit energy when you need it. That’s incredible, Wilhem.”
Wilhem nodded. “Yeah, but it makes me really hungry afterward. I have to eat a lot to keep it going.”
” its understand able, however have you wondered that you can use it in more ways” Aiden nodded and then asked mysteriously.
” what do you mean?” Wilhem stopped eating and asked looking at AIden.
Aiden smiled and then placed his hand on the table, surrounded by the cake to prevent anyone from seeing. After using Falsify at their table, he lit a small flame on his hand. “I meant this,” he said.
Wilhem looked at the small fireball in Aiden’s hand and said, “So, you are special like me?”
“No, it’s something I acquired after hard practice, but you were born with it,” Aiden shook his head and said. Pointing at Wilhem, he continued, “Your specialty can help you do this and this also.”
Aiden said as he began to create water, earth, wind, lightning, and many elemental balls on his hand.
Wilhem looked at Aiden’s hand in fascination and then asked, “I can do it too?”
“Yes, and better than me,” Aiden nodded and said.
“Can you teach me?” Wilhem asked expectantly, looking at Aiden with shiny eyes.
“Of course, I will,” Aiden smiled and clasped his hands. ‘Kekeke, the fish has taken the bait,’ he thought inwardly.
Myne and Nexus, looking at the chubby, cute kid, felt bad for him. They then looked at Aiden and thought simultaneously, ‘He is now quite a schemer.’
Aiden crossed his hands and looked at Wilhem. “But…I can’t easily teach you unless you acknowledge me as your master.”
Wilhem tilted his head and replied, “But you are the same age as me. How can I accept you as my master?”
Aiden, looking at Wilhem, thought, ‘How can this kid awaken his brain at this time?’ He sighed and then said righteously, “We are the same age, but I am older than you in wisdom.”
Hearing him say cool words like this, Wilhem looked at him with awe-filled eyes. He then nodded and said, “Master, please teach me.”
Aiden nodded and said, “Okay, from now on, you are my student.”
“Yes, Master,” Wilhem nodded with a cute smile.
While this was happening, the old man along with other kingdom officials couldn’t help but fiercely twitch their lips. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing. To them, it felt like Aiden was kidnapping that innocent kid. And what the hell with him being a master, what hell in him being older in wisdom?
‘What the fuck is all this bullshit?’ they thought. ‘He looks more like a wretched uncle kidnapping a girl right now.’
“That kid is quite something else,” Ross chuckled.
Marcus, standing next to him, nodded. “Hmm, he was probably able to understand just how outstanding Wilhem’s talent is.”
“Stop spouting nonsense. He’s just a shameless kid scouting talent for his group,” Dani snorted.
Marcus and Ross ignored her. Ross said, “Still, to think a newly awakened kid was able to figure out the true value of Wilhem… is his second spirit related to the appraisal category?”
“Most likely,” Marcus nodded. After a moment, he added, “But if it isn’t, then this kid… what is he?”
Ross’s smile froze for a moment as he pondered Marcus’s words. “It is unlikely he is some old coot who has taken over this kid’s body, or that old man from his kingdom would have eliminated him long ago.”
Marcus tilted his head and looked at the old man, who was watching Aiden with an unreadable expression.
“I don’t see anything special about him,” Marcus said.
“Are you an idiot? When a Spirit Emperor like me can’t see through him, what can a Spirit King like you see in him?” Ross looked at him speechlessly.
Hearing this, Marcus frowned and asked, “Are you sure about it? What if he is using a concealment artifact to hide his rank?”
“If that were the case, he wouldn’t have looked at me the moment I tried to see through him,” Ross shook his head.
“Hmm, so this means Aiden is not something dangerous or taboo?” Marcus asked.
Ross thought for a moment and replied, “I can’t say for sure unless I inspect him myself.”
Dani on the other hand just kept gritting her teeth as they ignored him, She then just snorted and went to people of her kingdom.
Marcus and Ross didnt say anything as their entire focus is on now Aiden who after taking Wilhem as his disciple has returned to his seat, where other of gis group members are sitting.
” what should we do about him?” Marcus asked.
” Nothing” Ross shook his head and said.
” But what if it is a weapon from other Academies? ” Marcus asked worriedly.
” Dont underestimate our Academy, if he is really a spy then he would be killed the moment he enters the Academy” Ross chuckled and said.
” Now, go and get our Transport is ready, this banquet is coming to an end and we will leave tomorrow at Dawn” Ross instructed and then Marcus nodded and then after taking a last glance at Aiden he left.
