From the moment Aiden laid his eyes on it, he knew what kind of artifact this was.
The reason the old man called it something with “grave” in its name was because of its environmental stimulating feature; he had set the inside environment to suit that of the undead.
Aiden tossed the gourd in the air as he played with it. “To think, I would get another world coordinate like this. But I still have to wait until the system is activated again. Only then can I use this artifact’s world coordinate and maybe even travel there. After all, from this artifact’s description, it seems like a Pokémon-type world,” he thought as he played with it.
“Aiden, let’s go there,” Serina’s voice called out. Aiden looked in the direction she was pointing and saw the restaurant.
The Enchanted Feast Hall
The Enchanted Feast Hall stands majestically at the heart of the bustling market square. Its towering stone walls are adorned with creeping ivy and enchanted lanterns that emit a warm, inviting glow. Tall, arched windows made of stained glass depict scenes of legendary feasts and mythical creatures, casting colorful patterns on the cobblestone street below. A grand, intricately carved wooden door, reinforced with iron, serves as the entrance, with a sign above it depicting a golden goblet surrounded by vines and flowers.
“But why is it called Enchanted?” Aiden asked, looking at the majestic building. From the outside, it looked impressive but not particularly enchanting.
Serina smiled slyly. “Go inside, and you’ll understand.”
As they reached the entrance, the guards at the door blocked their path.
“Get lost, this is no place for beggars,” one of them sneered.
Aiden raised his brows, not understanding why they were being labeled as beggars. “Where are there such beautiful beggars?” he thought.
Shelly and Serina frowned, just about to teach the guards a lesson, when a beautiful carriage arrived. From it stepped a group of arrogant-looking youngsters.
One of them, noticing Shelly and Serina, pointed at them while talking to his friends. “Boss, look at those beauties. Why don’t we invite them too?” Lark said.
Everyone turned to look at Shelly and Serina, the boys’ eyes lighting up while the girls in their group snorted and glared at Lark. He ignored the piercing glares and focused on the crimson-haired individual.
Unlike the others who acted haughty and mighty, he stood there calmly, exuding an air of royalty. He wore a white robe laced with red designs and spiral flower patterns. On his chest was a pattern depicting a massive bear breaking a mountain. Reynold glanced at Shelly and Serina and then said in a monotone voice, “They are good enough. Invite them.”
Saying this, he began to walk inside. The guards respectfully parted ways and bowed to him, saying, “Welcome, Mr. Crimson.”
Reynold didn’t even glance at them and just went inside.
Lark, along with two more individuals, approached Shelly and Serina, bowing as he introduced himself.
“Hello, beautiful ladies. My name is Lark Storm, son of Count Storm. You may have heard about me, right?” He brushed his hair aside and spoke coolly.
Shelly raised her brows and looked at Serina, who replied, “Storm County is a small county in the northwest. The count is famous for his Dark Wind Falcon Martial Spirit.”
Lark’s lips twitched at hearing his county described as small, but he kept his cool and continued.
“Hahaha, you are right, Miss. Anyway, it seems today you are in luck, as the son of Duke Crimson is inviting you two to dine with him.”
“Let’s go and not keep him waiting,” he said, smiling. Inwardly, he added, ‘After Reynold plays with them, I will surely play with her to my heart’s content and show her whether it is big or small,’ he snorted coldly, glancing at Serina.
“Is he your brother? We can also invite him,” Lark said, putting his hand in Aiden’s hair and ruffling it, annoying Aiden to a great degree.
“Remove your hand if you don’t want it to be cut,” Aiden said coldly.
Lark snorted at the white-haired brat, then increased his grip on Aiden’s head, leaning in and saying, “Brat, just behave or—”
Arghhhhhhhhhh
Before he could finish speaking, he saw his hand cut from his wrist and began screaming like a pig being slaughtered.
The other two quickly grabbed Lark and jumped backward. One of them began to heal him, while the other drew his Martial Spirit, a Flaming Sword. Pointing it at Aiden, he said coldly, “You bastard, do you know you have attacked the son of a count? You will be beheaded for this treason.”
His shout attracted more attention. There was already a commotion thanks to Lark’s screaming, but after he shouted “noble,” many began to frown and looked at Aiden and the others carefully. They seemed to want to engrave the face of the one who dared to go against a noble.
Aiden smirked as he wiped his hand, removing the bloodstains. He looked at them and said, “Be grateful I didn’t outright kill him.”
The lackey with the Flaming Sword gritted his teeth in anger, then his sword glowed brightly as he shouted, “Repent in Hell!”
“Death Storm!”
He pointed his sword at them, and a tornado made of flames rushed toward them. Aiden just looked at it and waved his hand. “Soul Ice.” The tornado froze almost instantly and shattered into powdery snow.
Lackey No. 2’s eyes widened in shock. Lackey No. 1 frowned, then took something out of his pocket and threw it to the ground, creating a large smoke cloud. When the smoke settled, the three of them had vanished.
“Well, at least one of them seemed to have some brain left,” Aiden snorted as he looked at the guards.
The guards flinched at his gaze and then silently parted ways, allowing Aiden and the others to walk inside.
Aiden looked at the trembling guards and, smiling in pleasure, entered the restaurant.
The guards, seeing them enter, wiped the cold sweat from their temples.
“Damn, we almost lost our lives,” one of them said as he fell on his bottom.
The other, not doing any better, nodded and said, “Hmm, that ice attack was Peak Spirit King level. That brat—I mean, that white-haired senior—was a Spirit King. Appearances can be deceiving,” he said, causing the other to nod.
