Chapter 112: Chapter 111- Peace established
“What would happen if I suddenly die at some point, system?” Austin one of those days asked, while he was taking a bath.
Considering the dangers of the world, he usually gets the thought that at some point…or maybe more than once he would be pushed to the very verge of death. This world was very imbalanced, the demonic side has quality and quantity both.
To survive in this world, Austin must utilize his future knowledge to endure those calamities and somehow defeat the demon lord.
Naturally, when that time comes, he will have to go through several life-threatening situations.
[Ding!]
[Host’s existence is necessary for the system to exist.]
[In case of emergency, the system would use resources from the future features of the system, to overcome the disaster.]
Austin raised his brows, “What do you mean by that?”
[The system would utilize the resources from the future features, for example, the potions from {Shop} would be utilized to ensure the Host’s safety.]
Austin was taken aback. Does the system really have such a defense mechanism?
He actually didn’t believe that such a thing was possible….however, recently, he realized that the system might not be lying.
…
“Ugh…” Austin’s head was groaning, as he slowly opened his eyes and allowed his vision to get accustomed to the illumination around him.
The first person on whom his eyes landed, made him feel relieved, “Val…” He extended his hand in a daze, and Valerie instantly held it back.
“How do you feel now?” She asked, her voice soothing his headache.
“Just this ringing sound in my ears…”
“That’s to be expected. You ruptured your eardrums.”
Another familiar voice ushered Austin to turn his head.
There sat his loyal butler, wearing his usual attire of a three-piece suit.
Seeing his clothes, Austin realized something as he instantly turned his head back to Valerie and found her hair and eyes back to their original shade.
Austin’s eyes widened, as he whispered, “Val…why do you look like that?”
“Because she no longer needs a disguise.” This time…the voice was unfamiliar.
Austin blinked in confusion before he straightened his back and looked at the person…no, people standing across from him.
Austin now realized that he was lying on a huge bed and the room was too big to be a motel room.
The three people who stood there were evidently royalty. And the one who spoke was, undoubtedly,
“Your Majesty …” The King of Drenovar.
“The second Prince of Eryndor, Austin. This is the first time for us to meet.” The man spoke with his hands crossed on his chest.
The other two smiled warmly at the boy as the young Prince stepped forward and asked, “How do you feel now? Your wounds disappeared in the time we brought you here.”
Hearing Tarvin’s words, Austin suddenly looked down at his stomach.
Indeed, the deep marks of the demon’s nail have already disappeared. And rather than the physical weakness, he was feeling all fine.

His mind suddenly recalled something crucial as he asked, “What about the demonic army that attacked from the shore?”
Tarvin informed, “After that explosion, they suddenly retreated.”
Sebastian added, “It was strange since it was the perfect time for them to infiltrate. But they chose to retreat.”
Valerie ran away from the battlefield the moment she realized where the explosion occurred. However, the demons didn’t exploit the chance to enter Drenovar.
“Let’s not think about what didn’t happen,” The Supreme Authority got up from his seat, and said, “For now, I just want to thank you three for saving my family and my people.”
Austin tried to get up as the King neared the bed, however, Idris gestured for him to remain seated.
“I don’t know why you were here, but in exchange for what you have done, I am ready to grant you any wish you may have.”
Austin felt his heart finally gaining the peace it had been searching for so long.
Although all the plans he made went haywire because of the sudden arrival of the demonic army, in the end, he achieved what he came for.
“Just….forget about our past and let’s establish a friendly connection, Your Majesty. There is nothing more I could wish or ask for.”
Austin decided to relay his desire straightforwardly rather than making it complicated by bringing losses and gains of this war into the discussion.
He just doesn’t want either Eryndor or Drenovar to perish because of their role during the Great War.
It wasn’t like Idris didn’t expect something like this. However, what surprised him was,
“Did your father send you alone with your fiancée to pacify the situation?” It was more like Idris was amazed at the fact.
Austin smiled at the older one, “He didn’t tell me anything…rather, it was me who told him that I would somehow resolve the situation. And I think I fulfilled my promise.”
Idris couldn’t stop himself from chuckling as he patted Austin on his shoulder, “What a remarkable young man you are. Tarvin should learn from you.”
“I can learn anything but to fight from him. You should have seen hi, father, how ruthless…”
The conversation continued between the people. Meanwhile, Austin’s gaze traveled toward his beloved.
Her warm gaze and that soft smile were the best reward he could get after all this hard work.

“*Cough*” The former king coughed a few times, making Austin slightly nervous.
However, the way his scars began to heal and his complexion returned to normal, allowed everyone in the room to exhale a breath of relief.
“F-Father…” Idris called out in a shaky voice as he saw his father’s eyes wet and his mouth slightly parted.
“…I-It doesn’t hurt…anymore…” The former king spoke…rather than just groaning in pain, he actually spoke!
The whole family grouped around the former patriarch, finally seeing the man recovering from the illness he has been suffering from, for this long.
All thanks to Austin.
Hazir, who was wrapped in bandages, rested his hand on Austin’s shoulder as he said, “You have done a huge favor for our family. The Drenovar family will never forget it.”
Saying so, the Prince hugged Austin—his eyes wet with tears.
Austin glanced at Valerie and found the girl turning stiff.
He couldn’t help but smile at that, as a thought crossed his mind,
‘This definitely would ruin your plans, Aiden. Just a few more days before I throw you back where you belong.’
