Chapter 211: Chapter 210- Rude
Valerie and Austin were naturally nervous, not because they were meeting the members of the organization that holds the most authority on this planet. Rather, their source of nervousness was the news they had brought.
Following the vice headmaster, they entered the office room of the Headmaster where the two men in three-piece suits were waiting for them.
One was young, almost in his twenties which was quite a surprise. The other one seemed somewhat mature—with a white mustache and white aging hair.
They both turned towards the duo and Philius got up from his seat to greet them, “Have a seat.”
As they gestured, Austin and Valerie took the seat across from the two Council officers.
Harold remained standing behind Philius.
“I believe I only asked you to bring student Valerie to the office, sir Harold?” The older one asked with his gaze narrowed at Austin.
“She might need Austin’s help to make the decision here.” Harold plainly responded.
“What decision?” Valerie asked, not liking the way the Council’s officer was starting at Austin.
The younger officer, a bit nervously, began, “Hey, I am Nathan and this person is my senior, Mathew. We are here to share a prophecy seen by the foreseer sheltered by the Ademerg country.” His tone was polite and slightly hurried as if he was trying to suppress any kind of discord that may arise between Valerie and Mathew.
Hearing that nation’s name, Austin frowned…what happened in the northern country all of a sudden was that the Council had to interfere.
If it had been some political conflict, the Council wouldn’t have batted an eye at the situation, just like how they did when Drenovar was about to attack Eryndor.
Then this meant…”A demon attack?” Austin wondered aloud, which took everyone by surprise.
However, rather than asking how he guessed it, Nathan nodded, “Yes, you are right. The foreseer informed the Princess that a demon, strong enough to eradicate hundreds of humans, is about to arrive in fifteen days, counting from today.”
Just as Austin believed, this matter involved the other side.
‘Hundreds of humans, huh…a General-ranked demon?’ Austin inwardly muttered.
Austin’s knowledge about the Orc Lord and the Elven King was complete since Rhea actually fought them in the game.
And since this time around the Parasite Chief wouldn’t be Valerie, he couldn’t tell what he could expect from the original Parasite Chief.
He has no idea how Valerie even defeated the Parasite Chief in the original timeline. It was just told to the readers after Valerie appears in her demonic state before Rhea.
“Then…why does this concern me?” Valerie asked.
“It was you whom she saw in her vision…the warrior with purple hair and a spear who defeats the threat,” Mathew spoke out bluntly without going around.
He crossed his arms and said, “That’s why, we want you to leave for the North right away-”
“Can you stop it?” Austin suddenly spoke, his brows knitted in a frown, as he added, “She doesn’t work under you nor you are the King of this nation to order her around. So know your place.”
Mathew’s eyes widened in shock and anger. Nathan was rooted at his place, his body stiff.
Harold might have smirked at that ‘advice’ but he controlled his emotions for the sake of his job.
“You–!” Mathew slammed his arm on the sofa, breaking the handrest as his aura flared.
Austin didn’t even flinch and pushed back with his own aura, which was not even a bit less fierce than the officer’s…and that took everyone in the room, except for Valerie, by surprise.
Soon Philius stood up from his seat and said, “Gentlemen, this isn’t the time to engage in personal conflict. A nation is in danger and we need to be cooperative to handle the situation.”
Both men kept their unwavering gaze on each other, their Soul energy making it difficult to breathe in the room.
Austin heaved a sigh, pulled back his aura first, and turned toward the headmaster, “Sir, regardless of what the foreseer has seen, I can’t let Valerie go to the battlefield alone.”

With his gaze narrowing he added, “Considering how there are even moles even in the Council, it wouldn’t be surprising that Valerie might end up facing an army of demons there.”
Mathew was startled and so was Philius.
The Council has kept the news of the mole a top-secret—both because of their reputation and people’s belief in them.
Then…how…Austin found out about it?
“Headmaster,” Valerie called out, “I might be strong, but pushing me before a foe that can destroy a nation…” Glancing at Mathew she added, “Is this an attempt to get rid of me instead?”
Mathew’s breath was caught in his throat as he clenched his fist and glared at the girl.
Nathan explained, “You would be provided with the army of Ademerg. There would be Council Officers and four of the S-rank warriors with you. You don’t have to actually be on the frontlines, but it’s just that the foreseer has never predicted a wrong future, so the Council wants the prophecized person to be there.”
Austin heaved a sigh and leaned back.
It was slightly strange that the Council was trusting a prophecy…but considering the recent demon attacks, they might not want to take the chance.
Everyone knows the value of Ademerg, so allowing a Demon to destroy would not only be a loss of humanity’s assets but would also instill fear in others’ minds that the demons could breach the borders any time they want and destroy their home.
Valerie glanced at Austin and he knew what she was asking.
What would be their response?
Austin thought for a moment before telling them, “Can we get some time to discuss this?”
“Why do you have to get involved? You are not even requi-” Mathew’s voice halted as he felt ice creeping up his feet and his body turning cold.
The person stiffened and so did others as he turned towards Valerie.
With her eyes glowing and demeanor oozing with blood lust, she said, “Insult him again, and this will be the last discussion you will ever attend.”
Mathew parted his mouth to say something, but this time, Nathan pushed his shoulder and glared at him, “She’ll fucking kill you, senior. Think about your family and shut up.” Mathew, this time, closed his mouth with the attention of not speaking again.
Philius heaved a weary sigh and said, “You two can go and think about it. Let me know your decision by the evening.”
Austin nodded and held Valerie’s hand before getting up.
