[You have reached the second threshold of your overall achievements!]
[Overall Progression:20/100]
[Ding!]
[You have received a mega reward!]
[Tap to open]
Austin remained lying in his bed and stared at the screen. He received the notification yesterday when he was with Valarie but since he knew it would take time, he ignored it.
Then came his father and he completely forgot about the reward.
He can see the gift box hanging in the left, which was apparently the mega reward. However, before that, he chose to see what his trickery had gained him.
[Deceiving face: Allows the host to take the appearance of anyone for ten minutes.]
[Limitation: Can be used once in thirty hours.]
[Requirement: A droplet of the target’s blood.]
Austin examined the mask and thought how cool it would have been if he had this mask a few days ago. Framing Parkinson would have been easier.
It was a theatrical wooden mask with a smiling face and two holes for the eyes. Something befitting a trickster.
Austin was about to open the Mega Reward when suddenly he received a notification on the system,
[Ding!]
[An exciting offer has appeared!]
[In exchange for the Mega Reward, the host has the offer to gain the function of ‘Inventory’!]
[This is a one-time offer, and the decision cannot be reversed. Choose carefully.]

His eyes narrowed before he asked, “The mega reward in exchange for Inventory? What if I reject it, will I get an Inventory in the future?”
Truth be told, having a pocket dimension to store things was very useful. Considering this world doesn’t have spatial storage, it becomes even more desirable.
However, it cannot be denied that the mega reward must have something useful as well.
[Ding!]
[There is a chance but rejecting the offer would lessen the probability!]
“…” Isn’t it a threat now? Is the system forcing him to accept the Inventory?
Thinking for a bit, he asked, “Can you tell me the features of the inventory?”
[Ding!]
[Inventory: A pocket-dimensional storage that allows users to store and retrieve items instantly. It ignores weight and size limits, making it perfect for carrying essentials or treasures without burden.]
[Restriction: No living creature can be stored inside.]
[Limitation: The inventory size would be 100 cubic meters initially but it can be increased through QoD.]
Austin raised his brows as he read through the description. The inventory, just as he thought, seemed quite useful.
Providing an average room size of storage space in the inventory was hefty for someone who doesn’t carry along many things. In the future, he can use it to hunt demons and bring them to exchange them for gold.
Not to talk about, he can carry several weapons except for his Soul Shard.
When his eyes went towards the last word, he asked, “What is QoD?”
[Quest on Demand: For the progression of any index, or skill, the Host can request quests from the system.]
[Caution: Rejecting three consecutive quests would cease the host’s authority over QoD.]
‘Scary…’ Austin muttered under his breath before heaving a sigh.
This was a difficult choice. He really wanted that Inventory however, he couldn’t tell what mega prize was awaiting him inside the box.
What if it turned out to be a powerful spell or a weapon of mass destruction?
Austin couldn’t be a hundred percent sure in this.
‘Ah, fuck it. I need the Mega Reward.’ There was no point in pondering; Austin knew he would end up regretting his decision, so why not go with a little surprise and see what’s in there?
[Ding!]
[The host showed brilliance in keeping loyal to his prize!]
[In addition to the mega reward, the host would gain the Inventory as well!]
“…” This system….is not normal.
[Ding!]
[Tap to open the reward!]
Austin heaved a sigh and decided to stop thinking about it.
Mentally tapping on the gift box, he was blinded by an orangish-red illumination, urging him to close his eyes.
Slowly he parted his eyes and found a bow floating before him. Its curved limbs resembling entwined vines, one side glowing deep red like molten ember and the other shimmering vibrant green like fresh leaves. Its grip is adorned with intricate patterns of thorns, and its string glows faintly, shifting between crimson and emerald hues.
Austin was so dazed that he looked at the description, a moment later,
[The Death Vow: Whoever the wielder names, the arrow launched from the bow would take their life. Regardless of their origin, gender, or in whichever world they reside.]
[Usage: 1]
Austin’s lips were parted in shock, but to make sure he was comprehending it right, he asked the system,
“So whoever name I chant before releasing the arrow, that being will get killed?”
[Indeed, host.]
“Even immortal ones?”
[Indeed, host.]
“Crazy…” Austin slumped back in his bed, his mind in turmoil at how he could use this to slay so many great dangers approaching. And most of all, the Demon King.
‘The final boss would be slain in a second if I use this…’
However, the Demon King is not in existence as of now, and those who summon that being are unknown to Austin.
He cannot be hasty in his decision.
[For now, the bow is stored in the Inventory. The host can retrieve it anytime.]
Austin heaved a sigh, “Thankfully, I have the storage, or keeping that glowing bow hidden would have been hectic.”
*Knock* *Knock*
Austin was startled to hear someone knocking on his window.
It was only five in the morning so it was dark outside, making him a little wary.
He summoned his Soul Shard and slowly approached the window….only to sigh in relief when he saw a familiar pair of Violet eyes peeking at him.
*Click*
He opened the window for Valerie before inviting her inside.
She undid her shawl to reveal her reddened face, making Austin worried,
“Why did you come here when it’s so cold outside?”
Shyly she lowered her head and faintly muttered,
“I-I wanted to be the first to wish you…”
“…” What mega reward? This is the ultimate reward.
His sweet little Villainess.
