Chapter 71: Chapter 70- Hard choice
Austin returned to his room—all healed and returned to his previous state before he entered the dungeon.
He was quite troubled previously, wondering how he could hide the injuries so that Valerie and Sebastian wouldn’t notice. However, he doesn’t need to anymore.
‘System?’
[As mentioned host, it was just a simulation. Unless you die there and lose your connection with the real world, every wound will be healed once you get back.]
Austin smiled, ‘Nice.’
Then he can go all out next time. Well, he wasn’t holding back his punches, but surely, his over-caution during the battle has resulted in restricted movements.
‘So system, I can use the points anytime I want, right?’
[Yes, host. However, you must use them before entering the dungeon once again, or they will be refreshed.]
“…why are you playing games with me?” Austin was frustrated. He wanted to accumulate the points to unlock the shop feature and here …
[A light joke to lift your mood :)]
[You can use your points anytime you want.]
“….” A broken system he got. Is there any way to exchange?
Heaving a sigh, Austin went to the bathroom and took a thorough bath. There was no blood but his body was stiff and sore. Although his wounds were healed, his mind was still filled with the thoughts of the battle.
It was the first time he went through such intense trials, so naturally, he would be a little overwhelmed.
After the bath, he walked out of the room and tried to find something to eat. However, there was nothing so he dropped the plan and walked back to the bed.
‘I should go and eat something at the common hall…’ He thought as he rested his back against the headboard.
He had to meet Valerie and have dinner with her…however, he was too tired to move around so before he knew, Austin fell asleep.

*Shlik*
Valerie moved just as she heard the sound of movement from her left flank, the wooden sword held tight in her hand, as she launched toward the target
Slicing the blue flames with the sword, she gracefully landed on the ground without making a single noise.
*Shlik*
Followed instantly by that movement, another sound erupted, this time too close to her, so she didn’t bother turning and stabbed the blade behind her with enough force to stab a person.
She heard the light dying down, and the session coming to an end.
“Haah…” Exhaling a long sigh, she wiped her sweat and went to pick up the golden orb that was helping her train.
This was the artifact she received from the Vice-headmaster that sent several light orbs at random spots within a closed space and made very minimal sound, which one needed to perceive and attack before the orb could hit them.
However, for Valerie, rather than the physical pain of being hit by the orb, she took damage to her pride when she failed to notice those orbs.
Although she wasn’t able to dodge and counter every orb, she was slowly getting there.
“It’s quite late….he didn’t come…” Valerie previously invited Austin to her room—which was quite embarrassing and the girl needs to work on her random impulses—however, he didn’t come.

She went to the common hall a few minutes ago, and he wasn’t there to have dinner as well. Even Sebastian was nowhere to be seen, so she had no idea what he was doing.
“…did something happen?” A frown contoured her moon-like face as she peeked out of the window.
Abel lives in the same building as Austin, so it wouldn’t be too surprising for that annoying incompetent creature to go and trouble her beloved.
‘If only I had a license to kill…’
She went into the bathroom and took a quick shower before changing her clothes and wearing a black skirt and pink top.
Sliding her feet into her sandals, she walked down the stairs and was met by a familiar face, “Oh, hey.”
It was the student council president, Rothaux Annabelle, who greeted her.
Valerie returned the greetings, “Good evening, President.”
Anna looked at Valerie once again before complimenting, “You look great today. Going on a date with Austin?”
Valerie shook her head, “Just going to check on him.”
Anna grinned, “Infiltrating the dorms?”
Valerie narrowed her eyes, “I wouldn’t go that far…just going to check if he is in the common hall.” Yeah, she lied. She was definitely going to his room.
Anna chuckled, seeing her junior trying so hard to suppress her emotions.
However, soon her laughter died down, and the redhead added, “By the way, you don’t need to worry about Abel. I have given him the final warning today that another complaint and his position as a Disciplinary officer would be taken away. Worse, I might make an official request to suspend him.”
Valerie was taken aback, “Just because of what happened today?” She couldn’t be any more thankful for the President to take such harsh steps, since insulting her Lord means severe punishment. Death, if possible. However, considering how patient and forgiving the President is, it was quite surprising.
Anna shook her head and with a smile extending her lips, she added, “No….he has been breaking quite many rules for the past six months…ever since…” She paused, not wanting to add the part.
However, Valerie understood what she meant to say. Abel has been rebellious ever since Valerie was given the post of Disciplinary Chief, even though that post should be Abel’s. However, it was a known fact that Valerie was one of the most disciplined and upright people; with her strength, Annabelle was forced to make the hard choice.
The redhead rested her hand on Valerie’s shoulder before assuring her, “Don’t worry about him and focus on the upcoming tournament.”
Valerie nodded before the older one walked away.
Once alone, she began walking…however, her feet weren’t leading her to the common hall.
‘Did you forget our promise?’ She wants to complain.
