Chapter 1677: Disciples Opportunities (3)
In the end, given that the tree root had been described by Qing Yi and Chun Hua as most likely being a byproduct of some kind of spiritual tree, Elder Song decided to dispatch Pei Yang to go and take care of the situation, as his expertise in the Dao of Alchemy would provide him with the best idea on how to deal with a spiritual object like that. Especially given that the sect didn’t really have anyone at the Dao Seed Realm specialized in the Dao of Nature or the Dao of Life. Making someone skilled in the Dao of Alchemy the most suitable for this kind of job.

The only risk was that Pei Yang was still wanted by the Blue Sea Empire and him leaving the sect could draw the unwanted attention of the Blue Sea Empire and potentially cause a full-scale conflict to break out between them.

Of course, this was under normal circumstances. Given how the Blue Sea Empire was already struggling to deal with the demonic cultivators trying to invade their territory and only placed a minimal observation on the Star Shattering Sect that would at most involve someone in the Dao Seed Realm occasionally keeping an eye on the sect and what it was up to, there wasn’t much risk in Pei Yang being discovered leaving the sect. Especially with how he could make use of the sect’s internal teleportation network to appear in a more remote location and make his way to Qing Yi and Chun Hua from there.

All things considered, Elder Song honestly didn’t really want to even run this kind of low risk but given how useful the strange wiggling tree root described by Qing Yi and Chun Hua could be for the sect’s future development, he had to send Pei Yang.

After all, outside of Pei Yang being the most suitable for handling this situation, Elder Song hadn’t fully grown to trust the rest of the sect’s Dao Seed Realm cultivators with how little time they had been part of the sect.

As for informing Xuan Hao about the current situation and having him deal with the issue… It was an option, but Elder Song seriously felt that the sect couldn’t always rely on him for everything and didn’t plan to contact him unless absolutely necessary.

Because this, Pei Yang soon found himself being briefed on the situation by Elder Song before he found himself leaving the sect in the direction of Qing Yi and Chun Hua. Ensuring that he kept himself hidden along the way to avoid potentially being spotted by any spies from the Blue Sea Empire spread throughout the territory of the Star Shattering Sect.

Luckily, with his strength at the Dao Seed Realm, it was rather simple to conceal himself from anyone below the Dao Seed Realm. Allowing him to smoothly make it to the territory of the fallen Sky Empire. Leaving the territory of the Star Shattering Sect.

Even if the Blue Sea Empire managed to spot him at this point, it wouldn’t have anything to do with the Star Shattering Sect. At most he would be seen as someone trying to utilize the Star Shattering Sect’s recent rise to try and avoid the Blue Sea Empire, as even they wouldn’t dare carelessly act so close to the borders of the Star Shattering Sect’s territory.

Of course, he wouldn’t want the Blue Sea Empire to learn about his location, as avoiding any problems with the Star Shattering Sect didn’t mean they would give up hunting him down. Instead, it might even result in someone at the Dao Seed Realm being dispatched to follow him until a more senior figure in the Blue Sea Empire had some time at hand and could make a short trip over to catch him.

After all, someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm would be able to easily catch someone like himself without causing any major commotion that might provoke the Star Shattering Sect.

Thinking about it, it might be worse for him to get discovered so close to the Star Shattering Sect, as that could draw over someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm instead of the normal Dao Seed Realm cultivators around his own strength, he would have to deal with otherwise.

“I should deal with this strange wiggling tree root as fast as possible…” Muttering this to himself as he cautiously observed his surroundings after stepping outside the Star Shattering Sect’s territory, Pei Yang silently prayed that there wasn’t any of the Blue Sea Empire’s special detection artifacts nearby before he rushed off in the direction of Qing Yi and Chun Hua.

Although he had the ability to somewhat conceal himself from those special artifacts used by the Blue Sea Empire with his current strength, it wasn’t perfect, and he would still be discovered if the other party ended up getting close enough to him.

Naturally, the special detection artifacts of the Blue Sea Empire came in different qualities and the ones that could be carried around were far worse than the stationary ones located at the borders of the Blue Sea Empire, as although Pei Yang was strong enough to somewhat hide himself from the ones that could be moved around, he would have no way to hide himself from the detection artifacts at the borders of the Blue Sea Empire, as those had been specifically designed to guard against Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators.

For someone in the Dao Seed Realm to avoid those detection artifacts was nothing short of delusional. The only way to avoid them would be with the assistance of someone skilled enough to use long-distance teleportation to directly bypass the range of the detection artifacts.

It was not that the Blue Sea Empire were unable to detect something like this if they really wanted to, it was just that the resources involved in guarding against something like that throughout the entire territory of their empire would drain their reserves in a few dozen years…
