Chapter 442: Tiredness (Part.II)
Immediately, the gazes of the newly transformed dragons turned to Tiamat—the only being there whose ancient wisdom was indisputable. They didn’t trust Ouroboros. But Tiamat was different. Tiamat was the truth.
The Golden Dragon smiled, with that gleam in her eyes of someone who knew what was coming before she was even asked.
“She’s right.” Her voice echoed with gentle, almost maternal authority. “It’s surprising that you’re still standing. You no longer have ordinary limits. The container of power you now hold is nearly infinite…” She paused briefly, as if savoring the import of what she was about to say.
“And that means their bodies will require hibernation soon to adapt to the new level of mana. Temporary collapse is inevitable. I’d say… ten minutes, tops.”
Scarlet took a deep breath, her eyes burning with an intensity that rivaled the sun itself. She stood with Strax in her arms—as if he were light as a feather—and slowly turned to face the group.
“Fine.” Her voice was low but firm. Commanding. “He stays with me.”
She took a step forward, her eyes sweeping over each of the other women with measured calm. A smile curved her lips, sweet… and menacing.
“Does anyone… object?” The atmosphere changed instantly.
Scarlet’s demonic aura expanded like a scarlet wave, merging with her draconic essence. The ground shook beneath her feet. The air grew thick, saturated with power. An overwhelming aura that carried within it a warning: she was not asking for permission.
She was marking her territory.
The others shivered. Literally.
Daniela took an involuntary step back, her eyes wide. Cassandra kept her expression firm, but her fingers twitched discreetly. Samira clenched her teeth, feeling the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, even against her will. Monica raised an eyebrow, admiring the demonstration. Beatrice sighed, as if she had already expected it. Bellatrix just licked her lips, excited by the tension in the air, but didn’t say a word.
The truth was undeniable: Scarlet had surpassed them all. Surpassed the Emperor level. Now, she was something beyond… and they all felt it in their bones.
Scarlet smiled with satisfaction at the silence that followed.
“Great.” She said with a victorious gleam in her eyes. “Because if anyone dared to oppose her, there wouldn’t even be dust left to tell the tale.”
With a small movement, she adjusted Strax’s body against her own, as if carrying a trophy—or a sleeping lover worthy of a throne. And, with firm, sensual steps, she began walking toward the portal conjured by Frieren that led to the palace.
“Good night, princesses,” Scarlet murmured over her shoulder, her voice full of arrogance and sweet venom. “Dream about what you won’t have today.”
She walked forward without even turning her head, her footsteps echoing like soft thunder over a battlefield already won.
The silence that followed was thick. Cutting.
Until, finally, Ouroboros broke it with a restrained sigh and a crooked smile, his arms crossed and his gaze lost in the trail left by Scarlet.
“Shit…” he whispered, as if he had just swallowed a thunderbolt. “She’s… different. Stronger. More proud. And, damn it… even more wretched.”
Her voice held not only envy but also respect. And perhaps… a touch of fear.
Tiamat snorted lightly, her arms relaxed as she stared with golden eyes at Strax’s unconscious body, still shrouded in the residual aura of his divine feat.
“Drama, as usual,” she said calmly. “But yes… she is frighteningly powerful. She has risen above what any of us expected.” She paused, her gaze narrowing. “Still, Scarlet will calm down once Strax wakes up.”
Ouroboros raised an eyebrow.
“Do you think he can control her now?”
Tiamat smiled enigmatically.
“It’s not about control. It’s about balance. He hasn’t regained his energy yet… but even in this state, it’s likely he’s already surpassed Scarlet in raw power.”
Ouroboros pondered for a moment, his eyes still fixed on Strax’s body in the scarlet dragon’s arms.
“In general statistics, yes… Scarlet still has more field experience… more battle experience. But he…” She narrowed her eyes. “He’s an anomaly. Growing at an absurd pace. As if the world itself were shaping the future around him.”

“That’s what he is,” Tiamat added, her lips curving into a serene, almost maternal smile. “What he’s always been. The center. The catalyst. The dragon that shouldn’t exist… and, for that very reason, exists above all.”
The wind blew lightly. The night seemed to hold its breath.
“Let’s see where this goes,” Tiamat murmured at last, her eyes returning to the sky. “Because what started as a harem… is turning into a draconic revolution.”
…
Elsewhere…
“My head is… hurting so much…” Kryssia murmured, pressing her fingers to her temples. Her voice sounded shaky, almost disconnected from reality. “It’s like something… a very strong connection… is pulling me from somewhere far away.”
Xenovia, alert, approached and placed a hand on her friend’s shoulder gently.
“Are you okay? You look pale.”
Kryssia didn’t answer right away. Her fingers moved up to the small blue horns on her forehead, now pulsing with a faint ethereal light.
“These horns…” she whispered, her eyes slightly wide. “They’re… different. It’s like something inside me is awakening. Something ancient. And… connected.”
Before Xenovia could respond, an elegant shadow glided above them. Nyx descended with the silent grace of an inevitable omen.
She landed in front of them with the lightness of a feather, her wings retracting in an almost feline movement, and looked directly at Kryssia’s horns with an enigmatic smile.
“Demonic intercommunication,” she said matter-of-factly, as if commenting on the weather. “It’s a rare but powerful phenomenon. New demonic bloodlines created by a single person often create unconscious bonds when their destinies intertwine.”
Xenovia frowned. “Are you saying this is coming from… Strax?”
Nyx nodded, still with that look of someone who knew more than she was letting on.
“It seems our dear dragon has created yet another demon.”
The young woman’s eyes widened, her heart racing. “By calling… me?”
Nyx smiled, now warmer, but still mysterious. “Well, you’ll just have to hold on until the bond is formed. Until then, bear the pain.”
