Chapter 118: Reunion of Mother and Daughter
“Well, I’m glad you ladies had some fun,” Kaiden chuckled but didn’t explain himself any further about the ‘contact in high places.’

Instead, he added, “It’s about time Julia and I leave. Are you going to be fine?”

“Yes!” A chorus of positive replies welcomed his question.

“Alright, if any trouble arises, you can contact me through the awakened platform if you search for Valhalla’s Sinners. Remember, nothing happened today. No words to anyone. Trust me when I say this: you don’t want to make the person who helped us out today into your enemy.”

“Yes!”

They soon separated. He helped the weak Julia into the taxi he called, which stopped at the gym where Aria should be just about finishing today’s training.

The duo waited in front of the gym for the girls to come out. While doing so, Julia started trembling due to nervousness. “What if she hates me?”

“She doesn’t.”

“But what if she does?!”

“Then you get on your knees and apologize, or whatever it takes to earn her forgiveness.”

“But what if that doesn’t work either?!” she cried hysterically.

“Woman, keep it together. If it doesn’t work, then you keep begging, pleading, doing whatever else it takes. And if she absolutely refuses to forgive you, then you pack your bag and move out of her life.”

“… Yeah… I owe Aria this,” Julia said while squeezing Kaiden’s hand, which she was holding all this time.

“Kai? M-mom?” Aria gasped when the three of them came out of the gym at long last.

Kaiden only smiled. He didn’t want to speak up, it was not his moment.

“I-I’m so s-sorry!” Julia shouted while kneeling in front of her daughter, with great sorrow and regret being evident in her shaky tone.

“Mom, what are you doing?! Get up, people are watching!” Aria tried to raise her mother from her kowtowing position, but despite Julia’s horribly weakened physical state, the girl seemed to struggle. The mother was adamant about staying glued to the cold ground.

“I don’t care! I’m begging for my daughter’s forgiveness, I couldn’t care less what strangers think of me!”

“I-I don’t really get it, I’m not angry with you for anything! But sure, I forgive you!” Aria decreed with great confusion.

Kaiden couldn’t help but have his smile turn up a notch. ‘I thought so. She didn’t harbor any resentment in her beautiful heart despite what she went through because of Julia. She’s a literal angel…’ he exclaimed inwardly as he eyed Aria, who finally managed to forcefully lift her mother off the pavement and hug her.

“Ladies, let’s go home. Aria should spend some alone time with her mother,” Kaiden said to his two confused lovers, who were dragging themselves with extremely exhausted bodies. Aria must’ve put them through the wringer quite badly.

“Sure…” Luna moaned painedly. Nyx was too tired to respond; she just nodded.

“I’m happy for you,” Luna stated while gently patting Aria’s shoulder as she walked by her toward Kaiden. “Yeah… Enjoy…” Nyx added, with so little energy one could mistake her for a zombie.

“I don’t know what you did, but thanks, Kai!” Aria shouted at her boyfriend with eyes full of overflowing love. The mother who was distant toward her all this while was now crying her heart out in her arms.

Did he truly solve her problems within a few hours? She didn’t know how he did it, but her man was most certainly the absolute best!

“Carry,” Luna demanded while raising her arms toward him expectantly, as if she were his baby.

Kaiden chuckled amusedly for but a second before reaching behind her thighs and easily lifting her into his arms.

“Ah! Not fair!” Life returned to Nyx’s features as she cried ‘injustice!’ with all her being.

“Come,” Kaiden gestured with his free hand after seating Luna in only one of his arms. He had enough strength to easily carry two of his lovers, which was exactly what he did when he lifted her into his other arm.

“Kya! My boyfriend is amazing! Ahahaha! That’s right, stare at me jealously, bitches! Your men are all betas in comparison!” Julia and her desperate begging had drawn quite the crowd already, so now, many eyes were attached to Kaiden and the two otherworldly beauties in his arms.

Nyx saw the gazes on them and couldn’t help but boast about her amazing boyfriend as he carried his tired princesses off into the sunset in his arms. Many ladies started eyeing her with gazes that were a mixture of disbelief at her shamelessness and jealousy at her relationship, which seemed to be standing on the most stable of foundations—meaning they were madly in love. Men, on the other hand, sent cold glares at her and also at Kaiden, but neither of them could give a single ounce of care for what the observers thought.

That’s right; when it came to utter shamelessness, the person who could match Nyx Cosmos the best was none other than the man called Kaiden Grey.

“Did anyone recognize you in the gym?” Kaiden asked as the crowd parted to let them pass. He went toward where the taxies were stationed.

“Hehe! We’re not that famous yet!” Nyx replied merrily.

“I’m having my first cheat day,” Luna announced matter of factly.

“Sis, this was your first day in the gym! You can’t start cheating already!” The girl sitting opposite of her protested.

“First of all, I’m not your sister. Second, either I’m getting my pancakes or I’m biting someone.”

“Oh, living up to your chaos gremlin epithet, I see!”

“You’re lucky I’m too tired to beat you up…” Luna growled.

“I’m down to fight at any time!”

Their bickering continued all the way until they reached their home. Even in the taxi, they refused to let go of him, so Kaiden was forced to sit in the back, between the pair of fierce kittens.

It was the next day, and Kaiden came to visit the Levander family in the hospital. Julia spent the night in intensive care, but by noon, she was no longer in danger of death, so she was allowed to enter the general ward. It would take a few more days for her to be discharged if all went well.

Damian was evidently not as ready to offer his forgiveness to his mother as his sisters were because he refused to come here. He seemed to be a youngster who was simply too angry with the world, and Kaiden could understand him perfectly. It was not him who was a bitter kid, but it was rather that Aria and Lux were too big-hearted, he thought.

“You don’t have to thank me for anything,” he replied while stroking Lux’s lush silver hair.

“But I do! You saved my mother!”

“Well, alright…” he chuckled before adding, “You’re welcome.”

Kaiden then turned toward Aria. “I spoke with Anna, there’s an apartment with four bedrooms next to ours. We should move there while Julia and your siblings move into ours.”

“No!” Aria shouted strongly, surprising Kaiden greatly. However, her next words cleared his confusion up. “I can’t moan to my heart’s content if my family lives next door!”

Kaiden burst into laughter at his awesome girl’s antics, but then, a sudden [Ding!] sounded in his head.
