Demonic Pornstar System - Chapter 119
Chapter 119: Immense Luck!
Kaiden was still in the middle of hugging the overly excited and happy Lux when a notification sounded in his head.
[Ding!]
[Main Mission: ‘Moon Valkyrie’s Troubles’ completed!]
[Rewards]
1: Random Skill Card
2: Upgrade Point
With this, he was back to 4 Upgrade Points, which was the amount he had before spending one on his [First-Person Camera], upgrading it to [Harem Vision].
Kaiden had a bit of an issue: he was an unapologetic hoarder. He wanted to hoard the points until he got a skill he was sure needed to be upgraded.
Thus, it was time to open the Random Skill Card.
The same tense gacha-style opening ceremony started in his mind; however, by the end, the trumpets were singing victoriously as if he was an emperor returning from a great war that’d just been won. Even cheering sounds were added… ‘This Heavenly Demon dude has a taste for theatrics, that’s for sure…’ Kaiden snickered inwardly, but he couldn’t help but feel great anticipation.
It seemed that he—at long last—high-rolled the skill opening.
The card stopped spinning. It featured an art of a man who had his lips closed and an X was overlaid his mouth.
[The Heavenly Demon once said, “Screw you and screw your stupid laws, Universe! I’m the man who is destined to stand above all, you have no hope of containing me!” after which he spent 5,000 years developing a technique that allowed him to ignore one of the universe’s most fundamental laws: to cast spells, one must formulate them into clear words, or to the best of their current ability. The Successor inherited the fruits of the Heavenly Demon’s arduous labor.]
[???-tier skill, ‘Silent Casting’ unlocked!]
[Silent Casting: Cast spells without uttering a single word.]
“Heavenly Demon, I fucking love you…” Kaiden muttered out loud, eliciting a gasp from Lux. “Bad words can’t be said in Aria’s presence, or she will scold you!”
“Kaiden gets a pass…” Aria giggled, receiving a “not fair!” shout of protest in response.
Kaiden was shocked. He already knew this Heavenly Demon guy was an incredibly strong person, but to think he could circumvent such a universal law. Also, 5,000 years? His benefactor’s scale of existence was beyond his comprehension. He spent 200 times Kaiden’s entire lifespan’s worth of time just to solve this single issue…?
Furthermore… ‘This Universe thing again, huh? The Heavenly Demon hated being restricted by its imposed rules, so he rebelled against the universe itself. That might’ve been what led to his downfall.’ These were the conclusions he could draw from his currently available information, but it was mostly just his headcanon, nothing factual.
“Thank you, Kaiden. Truly,” Julia spoke up all of a sudden. She’d been watching the ongoings from her hospital bed with keen eyes. It was very easy for her to understand that not only was the selfie he showed her back when they met telling the truth but that he was also a good big brother figure, evidenced by Lux’s refusal to let go of him as if she were a little monkey baby clinging to her mother. She thought it would not be an exaggeration on her part to exclaim that he was the savior of her family.
But saving was not all he did.
He elevated them.
They were now a family who could proudly proclaim that they had an awakened in their midst! Her beloved daughter was a superhuman! The future of the Levander family was brighter than ever, and it was all thanks to this young man.
She’d also learned from her daughter that the mysterious helper of theirs was none other than the global phenomenon called Vespera Ashborn. Julia nearly suffered a heart attack when she learned that fact, but after calming down, she couldn’t help but wonder if her future included having amicable chats with the Shadow Monarch as two mothers-in-law. That thought was both thrilling and terrifying at the same time, making her skin crawl.
Even she saw clips of the woman, and let’s just say that she was the bigger, meaner, and significantly more menacing version of the red-eyed monstrous Kaiden who killed her oppressors in cold blood.
“I’m getting too many words of gratitude recently…” Kaiden whined, eliciting a round of merry giggling from the Levanders.
…
Next, Kaiden gave Montgomery a call, asking the man to solve Julia’s loss of custody over her children.
He only received some annoyed grumbling in response, something about this not being detailed in his job description, but the issue was solved very swiftly.
Kaiden despised having to rely on Vespera after he decided he would stand on his two legs. Not necessarily because he didn’t want to rely on his mother, but more so because it told him he was just a small fish in the grand scale of things.

Yes, he’d managed to single-handedly eliminate a little gang of non-awakened humans, but even then, he had almost died while doing so, and if not for his connections, he would’ve been thrown into jail.
There were high tensions in society about the awakened oppressing the commoners, so the government was on edge. They felt the need to be very strict on the awakened because if they looked away in cases of awakened humans abusing their superiority to bully the non-awakened, widespread riots could happen.
Despite the arrival of the mana apocalypse, the USA was still greatly resembling its previous self, at least as far as its governing body went. Only about 15% of the populace awakened as superhumans, so 85% were normal people. If those 85% got fed up, they could cause great damage to the government.
Furthermore, a lot of politicians were non-awakened, so they felt a very strong need to not allow awakened people to get ideas about changes in leadership and the like.
Naturally, many awakened hated the current status quo as they felt they deserved special treatment due to them being akin to supreme existences who’d risen above humanity. As such, a careful balancing act was required from the government to retain peace and prosperity.
Kaiden knew he had to quickly secure a strong position for himself where he wasn’t just a throwaway pawn on the government’s chess board in cases like what had happened yesterday. He couldn’t keep relying on Vespera coming in and saving his ass every time he got in trouble.
He was not even an Ashborn anymore. Every time he called for her help, they risked their real relationship being found out. Kaiden knew that Vespera would help him even if there was a 100% chance of their secret being found out by the whole world, but if that happened, his life would become very difficult as well.
Vespera had so many enemies that counting them would be mission impossible. Almost all foreign powers would benefit from her downfall, and numerous domestic ones as well. If people learned her son was running around in his lonesome without protection, he would become a weak link that could be used to defeat Vespera, thus, he and his girls would have to go into hiding unless they became top-tier combatants who could protect themselves before the secret got out.
An additional problem would be the reaction of the other Ashborn family members. His father, two brothers, and elder sister would hate him for ruining their prestigious name by becoming a pornstar, thus Kaiden and co’s lives would be in danger even if they decided to hide themselves.
To sum it all up, he had to become a man who could protect all he cared about with his own two hands.
To that end… “Aria, how about we go for our second dungeon dive? I was thinking we could go deeper into the forest,” he asked his gorgeous silver-haired lover.
“I’m in, Kai!” she chirped cheerily; however, suddenly, her features turned dark as she started glaring at him menacingly, doing an instant 180.
“Before that, dearest boyfriend, could you explain to your loving girlfriend why you decided to invade a criminal organization on your own while you sent the three of us to have fun in the freaking gym?! You should’ve called for assistance!” Her voice grew sharper, her piercing gaze unwavering, making it clear she wasn’t about to let this slip by. A threatening vein bulged on her forehead as she crossed her arms in front of her delicate chest and impatiently tapped her finger against her arm.
