Devilish secretary - Chapter 105
Chapter 105: Chapter 105 Jealousy Chapter 105: Chapter 105 Jealousy “We have something to say,” Ava said, her voice hesitant as she blinked at Nova, giving him a meaningful look.
When he didn’t respond immediately, she kicked him under the table.
Nova flinched, the pain evident on his face, but he quickly masked it.
Instead, he shot Ava a glare before turning to Lilith with a forced smile.
“Yes, yes,” he said quickly, straightening up.
“We have something important to tell you…” Lilith raised an eyebrow, her arms crossed as she leaned back in her chair, waiting for them to continue.
Before either could speak further, a soft voice interrupted.
“Can I sit with you guys?” All three turned to see Nora, standing a little hesitantly with her tray in hand.
Lilith immediately recognized her-the young woman she had saved at the club.
Nora’s eyes flickered to Lilith briefly, a hint of gratitude flashing across her face before she quickly looked down, fidgeting nervously.
Nova glanced at Lilith, unsure.
“Uh…” he started, but Lilith gave a small nod of approval.
Nova took that as his cue and gestured to the empty seat.
“Sure, go ahead.” Nora smiled faintly, sliding into the chair with a quiet “thank you.” The table grew momentarily quiet as they adjusted to the unexpected addition, but Nova cleared his throat, bringing everyone’s attention back to him.
“So… about that thing we wanted to say,” he began, looking nervously at Ava, who gave him an impatient nudge under the table.
“Wait—Yeah, I want to say something to you too, Nova!” Nora suddenly said, her voice soft but shy.
Nova turned to her, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.
“Do you mind if I have your number?” Nora asked, her cheeks flushing slightly as she avoided direct eye contact.
Nova’s eyes widened in surprise.
For a moment, he froze, clearly caught off guard.
Ava, sitting across the table, stiffened.
Her jaw clenched tightly, and she blinked rapidly, looking away as though trying to hide the emotions bubbling up inside her.
Lilith, observing the scene quietly, tilted her head slightly, her piercing gaze narrowing as she noticed the clear jealousy on Ava’s face.
Nova, however, was too focused on Nora to notice Ava’s reaction right away.
He laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.
“Ah, yeah… sure, Nora,” he said hesitantly, glancing briefly at Ava, whose expression had turned stormy as she aggressively poked at her food with her fork.
Nora’s face lit up with excitement.
She quickly pulled out her phone and handed it to Nova, her hands shaking slightly with nervousness.
The two exchanged numbers, and Nora beamed at him, thanking him softly.
Meanwhile, Ava’s grip on her fork tightened as she stabbed at her food with unnecessary force, her eyes fixed on her plate as though it had personally offended her.

Lilith couldn’t help the faint smirk tugging at her lips as she leaned back in her chair, her gaze flicking between Nova and Ava.
Interesting… she thought.
Nova finally looked up from his phone, noticing Ava’s intense focus on her food.
He hesitated, scratching his head again.
“Ava… are you okay?” he asked cautiously.
Ava’s eyes flicked up briefly, her tone clipped as she replied, “Why wouldn’t I be?” Nova gulped slightly, clearly realizing something was amiss, while Lilith merely watched with amusement, curious to see how this would play out.
“Don’t worry, Nova,” Nora said with a cheerful smile, blinking innocently as she turned to Ava.
“We girls have mood swings sometimes, right, Ava?” Ava’s hands tightened around her fork as her jaw clenched.
“Y-yeah,” she muttered through gritted teeth, forcing a strained smile.
Before anyone could say more, Ava abruptly stood up, her expression sour.
“I’m done,” she said sharply, grabbing her tray.
Without waiting for a response, she strode toward the tray return area, her movements brisk and purposeful.
Lilith raised a brow, smirking faintly as she grabbed her own tray and followed behind Ava.
At the tray return counter, Ava slammed her tray down a bit harder than necessary before turning on her heel and heading toward the washroom.
Lilith, ever calm, placed her tray neatly and caught up with Ava, her expression unreadable but clearly amused.
Once in the washroom, Ava leaned against the sink, gripping the edge tightly as she stared at herself in the mirror.
Her flushed cheeks and red-rimmed eyes reflected her inner emotions.
Lilith leaned casually against the wall, crossing her arms as her piercing gaze rested on Ava.
“You’re not great at hiding your feelings, you know,” Lilith remarked, her voice smooth but teasing.
Ava glanced at her through the mirror, her lips pressing into a thin line.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Ava muttered, turning on the tap and splashing cold water onto her face.
Lilith smirked, shifting her position slightly.
“Oh, come on.
That little display back there?” She tilted her head.
“You were practically screaming, ‘I’m jealous.'” Ava froze, gripping the edge of the sink even tighter.
“I’m not-” she started but stopped herself, her voice faltering.
She exhaled shakily, her head hanging slightly.
“I just… I didn’t think he’d give her his number so easily,” Ava admitted quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Lilith straightened slightly, her smirk softening into a knowing smile.
“Maybe because he wanted to see how you’d react,” Lilith said casually.
“And judging by that little scene, I’d say he got his answer.” Ava’s eyes snapped up to meet Lilith’s in the mirror, her expression a mix of confusion and surprise.
“What do you mean?” Ava asked, her voice wavering.
Lilith shrugged.
“He kept glancing at you the whole time, didn’t he?
Trust me, Nova’s no idiot.
He knows you care-you’re just too stubborn to admit it.” Ava bit her lip, looking away as her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red.
Lilith pushed off the wall, walking over to pat Ava’s shoulder.
“If you want him, Ava, stop sulking and go get him,” Lilith said with a smirk.
“Before someone else does.” With that, Lilith turned and walked out, leaving Ava alone to process her words.
Ava stared at her reflection in the mirror, her thoughts swirling as Lilith’s advice echoed in her mind.
