Devilish secretary - Chapter 120
Chapter 120: Chapter 120 Rayan dreams Chapter 120: Chapter 120 Rayan dreams Rayan lay on the bed with Lia nestled in his arms, his hand resting gently on her stomach.
His usually smug expression was replaced with something softer, more tender, as he slowly rubbed small circles over her belly.
“I hope it’s a girl,” he said, his voice quiet but filled with excitement.
“I’ll get her the prettiest princess dresses, all pink and frilly.
She’ll be my little angel.” A dreamy smile spread across his face as he continued.
“I’ll spoil her, you know?
She’ll have everything she could ever want.
My princess.” His affection for the idea of a child was clear, his eyes lighting up as he imagined a baby girl in his life.
Lia, on the other hand, felt her body stiffen slightly in his arms.
Her breathing grew uneven for a moment, but she quickly composed herself, forcing a smile onto her lips.
“That sounds wonderful, Rayan,” she said gently, her voice calm despite the unease stirring within her.
She placed her hand over his, intertwining their fingers as she looked up at him with a soft smile.
“I know you’ll be an incredible father.” Rayan’s face lit up even more, his joy evident.
“Of course, I will.
She’ll be my world.
I’ll make sure she never wants for anything.” As he kept talking, Lia’s smile faltered ever so slightly, but she quickly turned her head away to hide it.
Her mind running with anxious thoughts.
What if…?
What if he finds out?
She couldn’t afford to let her worries show, not now.
She had worked too hard, sacrificed too much, to lose her place beside him.
Taking a steadying breath, she leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek.
“I can’t wait to see you with her,” she whispered, her tone sweet but filed with a hint of unease.
Rayan smiled, unaware of the storm within her, and pulled her closer.
“Me neither, Lia.
Me neither.” Suddenly, Lia’s phone rang, and her smile instantly faded when she saw the name flashing on the screen.
“I’ll be back,” she said quickly, standing up and walking into another room of the apartment.
Rayan didn’t look up, too lost in his own thoughts.
They had gotten back together because of her pregnancy.
Though his parents were far from convinced about their relationship, they had begrudgingly accepted it for the sake of the child.

Meanwhile, Lia’s thoughts were elsewhere.
She couldn’t stop thinking about Lilith-and more specifically, Lilith’s new boyfriend.
Those piercing dark eyes, that muscular body, the effortless aura of power and danger… it all made her blood boil.
Why does Lilith always get everything?
she thought bitterly.
Taking a deep breath, she answered the call, her tone shifting as she forced a sweet voice.
“Hello, yes… yes… oh my god, thank you, Director PJ!” she exclaimed, her face lighting up with excitement.
She ended the call and ran back to the bedroom, unable to contain her happiness.
Rayan looked up, his brows furrowing in curiosity.
“What happened, sweetheart?” “Rayan!
I got the second female lead role in Director PJ’s movie!
All my hard work is finally paying off!” Lia said, practically bouncing on her feet.
Rayan smiled softly, reaching out to pull her closer.
“That’s amazing, sweetheart.
I’m so proud of you,” he said, his tone genuine as he rubbed her head affectionately.
Lia basked in his praise, but before she could revel in the moment, Rayan’s expression turned thoughtful.
“Lia,” he began slowly, “back at the store… you mentioned something about an old man when we saw Lilith.
What did you mean?” Lia froze for a split second before composing herself.
“Oh, nothing.
It wasn’t important,” she said, brushing it off casually.
Rayan narrowed his eyes slightly.
“Tell me, sweetheart.
Otherwise…” “Otherwise…?” Lia’s cheeks flushed as Rayan leaned in, whispering something in her ear that made her gasp.
“You’re shameless!” she said, hitting his arm lightly as she tried to hide her embarrassment.
Rayan chuckled, pulling her back into his arms.
“Then tell me.” Lia hesitated before sighing dramatically.
“Fine.
Lilith used to be in a relationship with an old man.
She was his… you know… sugar baby.
But of course, she tells everyone she earned her money freelancing.” Rayan’s eyes flashed with disgust.
“She’s disgusting.
And to think I’ll have to marry her soon…” he muttered angrily, his voice dripping with resentment.
Lia’s eyes widened in disbelief, anger flashing across her face.
She muttered under her breath, “She always pretends to be so perfect, but we both know she’s not.
I just don’t understand why you’d even consider her for anything.
Goodness, we’re going to have a baby together, why do you still want to marry-” “Lia, stop.” Rayan’s tone was firm, cutting her off abruptly.
Lia’s heart skipped a beat as she struggled to keep her emotions in check.
“Why?
Why are you defending her?
Why does she still matter?” she asked, her voice shaking.
Rayan sighed, running a hand through his hair.
“You’re overthinking this, sweetheart.
Lilith doesn’t matter to me.
She’s… just useful in certain ways.” “Useful?” Lia repeated, her jealousy flaring.
“How?
Why is she so important?
Tell me, Rayan.
Why does it always have to be her?” Rayan’s gaze hardened, but he didn’t answer her question.
Instead, he pulled her close, his tone softening slightly.
“You’re the one I care about, Lia.
Don’t let this bother you.
She means nothing,” he said, his arms tightening around her.
Lia bit her lip, her mind racing with questions and doubts.
But she didn’t push further.
Instead, she nodded slowly, hiding the storm of jealousy and anger brewing inside her.
“Fine, Rayan.
I trust you,” she said, forcing a small smile.
Rayan kissed her forehead, satisfied with her answer.
“That’s my girl.
Everything will work out, you’ll see.” But as Lia rested against his chest, her thoughts weren’t of love or trust.
They were of Lilith.
I’ll make sure she regrets ever crossing my path.
Slowly, she raised her head, her voice trembling as she whispered, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
“But Lilith is poor like me… Why can your family accept her and not me?” Her voice cracked, filled with pain and confusion.
