Devilish secretary - Chapter 123
Chapter 123: Chapter 123 Anger Chapter 123: Chapter 123 Anger She moved as if to hug Sebastian, but Gray skillfully sidestepped her, completely avoiding the embrace.
Sienna stumbled slightly, her face twisting with anger.
Unable to take the rejection, she turned to Ana and threw her arms around her instead.
“Aunty…” she began, her voice overly sweet and pitiful.
But her sweetness didn’t last long as her gaze landed on Lilith.
Her eyes narrowed into slits, and her expression turned sour.
“What are you doing here?
Aren’t you just Sebby’s secretary?” Her tone was sharp and condescending, clearly meant to undermine Lilith.
Sienna knew about their relationship but refused to acknowledge it, choosing instead to belittle Lilith as someone who had seduced Sebastian.
Before Lilith could respond, Ana’s cold voice sliced through the tension.
“Sienna!
She is my soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
Are you not here to meet Grandma?” Sienna froze in place, her face draining of color.
The revelation felt like a slap to her pride.
Rose, on the other hand, couldn’t hide her excitement.
Her face lit up, and she clapped her hands softly, a wide smile spreading across her face.
Gray remained unbothered, his expression calm and indifferent as his sharp eyes briefly flicked to Sienna before landing back on Lilith.
Lilith, however, didn’t look away from Sienna.
Her piercing blue eyes held a mixture of amusement and challenge as she observed the creepy human’s reaction.
Sienna’s hands clenched tightly around her bandaged one, and her lips pressed together as she struggled to hide her anger.
Sienna, unable to contain her frustration and desperate to shift the attention back to herself, suddenly shouted, “Grannnmmnnnnyyyyyyy!” Her voice echoed down the quiet hospital corridor, startling everyone.
She stormed toward the VVIP ward, pressing her face against the window of the door, trying to peer inside.
Just then, the ward door swung open abruptly, and a doctor in a pristine white coat stepped out.
His cold, stern gaze landed directly on Sienna, clearly unimpressed.
“Miss, I understand you’re worried, but this is a hospital, not your home.
Please don’t shout in the corridor,” he said icily before turning away and closing the door behind him.
Sienna froze, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as she stood there awkwardly.
She glanced around, noticing the amused looks from others.
Rose giggled quietly, hiding her smile behind her hands, while Lilith raised an eyebrow, her smirk subtle but unmistakable.
Even Ana shook her head disapprovingly, muttering, “Honestly, Sienna…” Sienna clenched her fists tightly, swallowing her anger as she tried to save face.

“I was just… worried about Grandma,” she mumbled, her voice lacking conviction.
Gray glanced at her briefly, unimpressed, before turning his attention back to Lilith, silently signaling with his eyes that he was done with the unnecessary drama.
Rose looked up at her mother, her small voice timid.
“Mom, can I go to the restroom?” Ana nodded gently, “Of course, sweetheart.” Rose hesitated, shifting on her feet.
“Mom… can you come with me?” she asked softly, her big doe eyes looking up at her mother.
Ana smiled warmly and placed a comforting hand on Rose’s shoulder.
“Let’s go, dear,” she said as they walked away together, leaving the corridor quieter.
As soon as they were out of sight, Sienna’s gaze shifted sharply to Lilith, who was standing close to Sebastian.
Her jealousy flared at how natural and comfortable they seemed together.
Sienna’s lips curled into a sneer as she eyed Lilith from head to toe.
She couldn’t help but let her disdain seep into her tone as she asked, “Oh, by the way, which family do you belong to?” Lilith’s expression turned icy as she immediately caught on to what Sienna was trying to do.
The subtle digs, the condescending tone€“it was all a thinly veiled attempt to hit where it might hurt the most.
Because Sienna knew from her investigation that Lilith was an orphan and poor.
But Lilith wasn’t someone who would let anyone manipulate her emotions, especially not a “creepy human” like Sienna.
Before Lilith could respond, Gray’s dark eyes flashed with a dangerous glint.
His expression turned as cold as steel, and his voice dropped to a low, menacing tone.
“Sienna.” The way he said her name made the hairs on the back of Sienna’s neck stand up.
She instinctively took a step back, feeling the weight of his piercing gaze.
He stepped closer, his tall frame towering over her as he spoke.
“Don’t you dare.” His words were slow, deliberate, and sharp enough to cut through the tension in the air.
“I know exactly what you’re trying to do.
And let me make one thing very clear-stay away from Lilith.” Sienna’s face paled, and she stammered, “I… I wasn’t trying to-” “Don’t lie, Sienna,” Gray interrupted coldly.
His usually calm expression had vanished, replaced by a dangerous look.
“You think touching on something sensitive will make you look better?
It won’t.
It just makes you look desperate.” Lilith crossed her arms, watching the exchange with an unreadable expression.
Though her face remained calm, the slight curve of her lips hinted at her amusement.
Sienna opened and closed her mouth, searching for a retort, but Gray didn’t give her a chance.
“Lilith is mine, and no amount of your cheap tricks or petty words will change that,” Gray said firmly, his gaze never leaving hers.
“Touch her again, even with words, and you’ll regret it.” Sienna’s hands balled into fists at her sides, her nails digging into her palms as her face turned red with anger and humiliation.
“I was just asking… I didn’t mean anything by it,” she muttered weakly.
“Good, then stop talking,” Gray snapped, his voice final.
With that, he turned his attention back to Lilith, his expression softening instantly.
He gently placed his hand on the small of her back, guiding her away.
Lilith glanced at Sienna one last time, her piercing blue eyes filled with both warning and amusement.
As they walked off, Lilith murmured, “Creepy humans always try their best, don’t they?” Gray grip on her waist tightening slightly.
“Too bad their best is never enough.” As Lilith walked beside Gray, she couldn’t help but notice the tension radiating from him.
His usually calm demeanor was gone, replaced by an intensity that made the air around him feel heavy.
His eyes appeared shades darker, a storm brewing in their depths.
His hand, which had briefly touched her back, was now balled into a tight fist, the veins on his forearm prominent.
