- Chapter 129 - Chapter 129 Chapter 129 Future brother in law
Chapter 129: Chapter 129 Future brother in law Chapter 129: Chapter 129 Future brother in law Ana was the first to leave, saying she had charity work to attend to, leaving Sebastian to take the wheel.
Lilith sat in the passenger seat next to him, while Rose and Ethan settled in the back seat.
The atmosphere in the car was heavy and quiet.
Unable to bear the silence any longer, Ethan leaned forward.
“Okay!
This is getting way too boring.
Why don’t you turn on some music, Lilith?” he asked, his voice breaking the stillness.
Lilith raised a brow and glanced at him through the rearview mirror.
“And why don’t you turn it on yourself?
You’re closer to the console.” “Well,” Ethan began dramatically, “I’m your future brother-in-law.
Shouldn’t you be pampering me as such?
You know, like keeping me entertained?” Lilith rolled her eyes, a faint smirk tugging at her lips.
“You really have a talent for being annoying, don’t you?” Rose giggled beside Ethan.
“He’s always like this, sister Lilith.
You’ll get used to it.” Ethan gasped in mock offense, clutching his chest.
“Rose, you wound me.
I thought you were my ally!” “I was,” Rose said cheekily, “until you started talking too much.” As Ethan’s playful words echoed in Gray’s mind “future brother-in-law”-he couldn’t stop the flood of giddy thoughts.
His imagination wandered, picturing Lilith dressed in white, walking toward him.
He imagined them living together, laughing, arguing, and even cradling a small baby with Lilith’s blue eyes.
Suddenly, everything about the world seemed beautiful, perfect even.
Reality snapped back as the car pulled up to Rose Manor.
Gray parked the car and glanced back at Ethan and Rose.
“Get out,” he said curtly, though a soft smile tugged at his lips.
Ethan rolled his eyes and exited the car in his usual dramatic flair, stretching stylishly.
Rose followed, but as they walked toward the house, both turned back, noticing Gray and Lilith still seated in the car.
“You guys aren’t coming?” Ethan asked, confused, his brows furrowing.
Gray just nodded and, without another word, drove off.
Lilith gazed out of the window, watching the scenery pass by in silence.
She was lost in thought when a warm, rough hand rested gently on her thigh.
The touch sent a shiver through her body, and she turned to look at Gray.

He kept his focus on the road, his expression neutral, though his fingers lightly squeezed her thigh.
A sly smile curved her lips.
She reached down and intertwined her smaller hand with his, caressing his fingers softly.
Gray’s grip tightened slightly, but he didn’t pull away, enjoying the quiet intimacy of the moment.
When they arrived at Sunshine Apartments, Gray parked the car and quickly got out, walking around to open her door.
Lilith climbed out gracefully, and he closed the door behind her.
“Would you like to come inside?” she asked, her tone casual, though her eyes sparkled with mischief.
Gray shook his head.
“No.
I’ll come later,” he said, stepping back as if to leave.
But his hesitation was clear, his brows furrowing slightly, and his lips pressing into a thin line.
Lilith noticed the tension in his expression.
“You want something?” she asked, tilting her head.
Gray’s jaw tightened, and he pursed his lips as he shook his head again, about to turn away.
But before he could take another step, Lilith caught his wrist and spun him around.
Without warning, she slammed him against his car, her piercing blue eyes locking onto his.
Before Gray could process her actions, her soft lips crashed against his, silencing any protest he might’ve had.
His body froze momentarily, shocked by her boldness, but the moment her hands slid up his chest, his restraint snapped.
His arms snaked around her waist, pulling her flush against him, as he deepened the kiss.
Her soft lips moved against his with a teasing rhythm, her fingers tangling in his silky dark hair.
Gray’s hand slid to the small of her back, holding her firmly as if afraid she’d pull away.
Lilith nipped his lower lip, eliciting a low, guttural sound from him that sent shivers down her spine.
He tilted his head, angling the kiss further, his tongue slipping past her lips to claim her completely.
She responded with equal fervor, her nails lightly grazing the back of his neck.
The intensity of their kiss left them both breathless, but neither wanted to stop, his other hand traveling up her side, memorizing every curve through the thin fabric of her dress.
Breaking the kiss briefly, Gray rested his forehead against hers, his breathing ragged.
“Lily…” he murmured, his voice rough and full of need.
“Hmm?” she whispered, her lips brushing against his as she spoke, a teasing smile on her face.
“Do you have any idea what you do to me?” His dark gaze searched hers, his pupils blown wide with desire.
Lilith chuckled softly, running her fingers along his jaw.
“I think I have a pretty good idea, Human Doll.” Gray groaned, burying his face in the crook of her neck.
“You’re impossible.” “And you love it,” she replied, her laughter light and melodic, as she gently pushed him back.
“Now, behave.
We’re outside, and I don’t want to scandalize the neighbors.” Reluctantly, Gray stepped back, his hands sliding away from her waist, though his gaze remained fixed on her.
“You’re lucky I have self-control,” he muttered, his lips twitching into a faint smirk.
Lilith winked.
“And you’re lucky I find that self-control of yours… entertaining to test.” With a final playful glance, she turned and headed toward her building, leaving Gray leaning against the car, watching her disappear inside, his heart pounding and a satisfied smile on his face.
******* After a long, hot shower, Lilith took her time to pamper herself with a soothing skincare routine.
She massaged her favorite moisturizer into her skin, feeling the calming sensation relax her muscles.
With her hair wrapped up in a towel and a comfortable robe wrapped around her body, she felt ready to unwind for the evening.
She settled at her desk and opened her laptop, logging into her website, DevilsPlay.
Her eyes scanned the revenue statistics, and she frowned when she saw the numbers.
Her earnings had nearly plummeted to zero.
“Seriously?” she muttered.
The decline was noticeable since the public had stopped obsessing over her drama with Rayan Brooks.
The thought of it all made her scoff.
People really move on quickly when the drama dries up.
