Chapter 135: Chapter 135 She was becoming more human Chapter 135: Chapter 135 She was becoming more human “Lilith!” Alexander groaned, his voice hoarse and heavy with restraint.
“We can’t,” he said, his hands firmly gripping her waist as if trying to Control himself.
Lilith raised her brows, her lips curling into a small, amused smile.
“Can’t or won’t?” she challenged, her tone teasing as she leaned forward again, her hair cascading down and brushing against his face.
Before she could make another move, he pulled her close, wrapping his strong arms tightly around her.
“Enough,” he murmured, pressing her face gently into his chest, holding her so she couldn’t move or kiss him again.
His heart was pounding hard against her cheek, betraying the storm brewing within him.
“Why are you stopping me now?” Lilith asked, her voice muffled against his chest but filled with curiosity and amusement.
“Because if I don’t, I won’t be able to stop at all,” he admitted, his voice low and strained.
He rested his chin lightly on the top of her head, his grip on her never loosening.
“You make it impossible to think straight.” Lilith smirked against his chest, feeling his heartbeat thundering under her cheek.
“I didn’t take you for someone who’s afraid of losing control, Human Doll,” she teased, her voice soft but playful.
He let out a deep breath, his fingers unconsciously tracing small circles on her back.
“It’s not fear, Lili…
It’s respect,” he said, his tone more serious now.
“When I give in to you, I want it to be the right moment, not one where I lose myself completely.” Lilith pulled back slightly, enough to meet his dark eyes.
Her expression softened, her playful expression replaced by a glimmer of understanding.
“You’re such a gentleman, Human doll,” she said quietly, brushing her fingers along his jawline.
“Don’t let that fool you,” he replied, his lips quirking up into a small smirk.
“You make me anything but.” Their gazes locked for a long moment.
Lilith finally relented, resting her head against his chest again.
“Fine,” she murmured.
“But you owe me, Human Doll.” Alexander chuckled softly, the tension in his body easing as he held her close.
“I’ll gladly pay up,” he whispered, brushing a kiss against the top of her head.
However, he couldn’t ignore the discomfort building within him, his body reacting to her presence as he fought to endure it.
Despite the storm raging inside him, he gently rubbed her back, using his legs to pull the blanket over both of them, trying to calm himself.
“Lili,” he whispered, his voice low and almost hoarse.
“Hmm?” Lilith replied, her ear pressed against his chest, enjoying the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
“Don’t try to make me lose control again,” he warned, his tone dark and filled with restrained desire.
“Because once I start, I don’t think I’ll be able to stop.” Lilith smiled against his chest, her fingers lightly tracing patterns on his skin.

“You know I’m ready for you,” she said boldly, her voice soft but filled with a teasing tone.
Goodness, she wanted him right now.
She could already feel the evidence of his desire pressing against her thigh, making her own heartbeat quicken.
Alexander let out a shaky breath, his grip on her tightening.
“I know,” he admitted, his tone a mix of frustration and longing.
“But not now.
Not when we’ve just started.” Her brows furrowed as she lifted her head to look into his eyes.
“Why not?” she asked.
His dark eyes softened as he gazed at her, the raw emotion in them making her breath hitch.
“Because I want you completely,” he said, his voice smooth yet filled with passion.
“When I have you, I want it to be when we’re married, when you’re mine in every sense of the word.
Legally.
Fully.
Completely.
I want to give you everything, Lili-not just a moment of passion.” Her lips parted in surprise, her teasing demeanor melting into something softer.
“You’re so old-fashioned, Human Doll,” she said, her voice filled with a mixture of amusement and affection.
“I don’t care,” he replied with a small smirk, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“You’re worth waiting for.” For once, Lilith didn’t have a witty retort.
Instead, she leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to his jaw.
“You’re impossible,” she whispered.
“So are you,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around her again and pulling her close.
“But you’re mine.” “You sure you really don’t want any help?” Lilith asked, her tone playful as she lifted her head.
“No!” Alexander replied firmly, his voice low and gruff.
His jaw clenched as he avoided her gaze, his arms tightening around her waist.
“It will go away in a while,” he added, his tone almost convincing himself as much as her.
Lilith raised a brow, clearly unconvinced, but before she could say anything further, he buried his face into her hair, inhaling deeply, and muttered, “Sleep.” His voice was softer now, almost pleading.
The way he held her, as though she was the anchor keeping him grounded, melted away her teasing thoughts.
She smiled faintly, leaning her cheek against his chest, listening to the rapid thrum of his heartbeat.
“Alright, Human Doll,” she whispered, her fingers lightly trailing patterns on his back.
“But you know I’m here if you change your mind.” Alexander let out a deep breath, his arms loosening just enough to make her more comfortable.
He didn’t reply, but the faint upward curve of his lips betrayed his thoughts as he pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head.
€¢€¢€¢€¢ Lilith woke up and found the space beside her empty.
She yawned, stretching her arms lazily before sitting up.
Running a hand through her tangled hair, she blinked sleepily and climbed down from the bed, rubbing her eyes.
Since when did she start sleeping without a care in the world?
She used to be alert, always aware, never letting her guard down.
Her brows furrowed as she stood still for a moment, realizing just how much she had changed.
The Lilith from before would never have let her guard down so easily.
Yet now, in this human body, she was sleeping more, feeling exhaustion, and worst of all€“getting comfortable.
She was becoming more human.
The thought sent a strange shiver down her spine.
Shaking off the feeling, she stretched again, her bare feet pressing against the cold floor.
“Tch.
Whatever,” she muttered.
“Not like being human is that bad…” She thought as she walked outside her room and saw her Human Doll in the living room.
He had already changed into casual clothing.
Her eyes landed on her bag beside him, a small relief settling in her chest.
So, he did bring it.
When he saw her, Alexander only spared a glance before lowering his dark gaze again, fingers moving over his phone screen as he messaged someone.
His jaw was tight, his entire aura radiating tension.
“Good morning,” Lilith greeted as she walked toward him, her voice soft but teasing.
He nodded without looking up.
Lilith narrowed her eyes, noticing the sharp set of his shoulders.
“What’s wrong?” “Nothing.
Just small business matters,” he murmured, his voice quiet but firm.
Lilith wasn’t convinced.
She sat next to him, laying her head on his shoulder, feeling the stiffness in his muscles.
He was holding back something.
“Small business matters?” she repeated, smirking slightly.
“You look like you’re ready to burn a company down.” Alexander exhaled through his nose, setting his phone aside.
“It’s nothing for you to worry about.” Lilith smirked, tracing lazy patterns on his arm.
“That’s what you always say.
But since I’m your girlfriend, shouldn’t I know?” His jaw tightened slightly, but he didn’t push her away.
Instead, his arm naturally wrapped around her waist, his thumb brushing over her side in an absent-minded gesture.
“Some problems are better handled quietly,” he said in a tone that was final.
Lilith rolled her eyes but didn’t argue.
If he didn’t want to talk, she’d let it go- for now.
Her gaze shifted to the bag beside him.
She reached for it, digging through until she found her phone.
“At least you brought my bag,” she muttered.
“I always keep my promises,” Alexander replied smoothly.
Lilith glanced at him from the corner of her eye, catching the way he was watching her.
“And?
You didn’t peek inside, did you?” He scoffed, his lips twitching slightly.
“I don’t need to.
If I want to know something, I’ll ask you.” She hummed, locking eyes with him.
“And if I refuse to answer?” His fingers suddenly tightened around her waist, pulling her closer until their noses almost touched.
“Then I’ll find other ways to make you talk,” he whispered, his voice a low threat or a promise.
Lilith’s breath hitched slightly, but she grinned.
“You’re getting bold, Human Doll.” His grip didn’t loosen.
“I have to, don’t I?
Otherwise, how else do I keep up with you?” Lilith chuckled, dragging a finger along his jaw.
“Good answer.” Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
Lilith started to stand up, but Alexander caught her wrist and gently pulled her back down.
“I’ll see,” he said, his voice firm yet calm.
