Devilish secretary - Chapter 166
Chapter 166: Chapter 166 Gray rules Chapter 166: Chapter 166 Gray rules Nina’s voice practically exploded from the other side of the phone.
“Lilith!
Tell me, did you read the script I gave you?” Lilith’s brows arched slightly.
“Yes,” she replied.
“Okay, tell me, do you want that role?!” Nina asked, excitement laced in her tone.
Lilith barely had time to reply before Nina continued in a rush.
“Alright!” she practically screamed.
Lilith held the phone slightly away from her ear as a small smile tugged at her lips.
She could already imagine Nina bouncing in excitement.
“Good!
Good!
But-there’s a small problem,” Nina continued, her voice dropping slightly.
Lilith’s brows raised slightly.
“What problem?” “The director found another suitable actress!” Nina blurted out.
“She’s recently gone viral online, and he was searching for her!
You’ll have competition for the role.
But don’t worry if you don’t know acting, I’ll personally teach you!
Auditions are in two weeks!” Lilith exhaled slowly, rubbing her temple.
“So basically, you’re saying I’ll have to fight for the role?” she asked.
“Yes!
But don’t worry, I believe in you!
You’ve got the looks, the presence, and that dangerous charm!” Nina said confidently.
Gray let out a quiet scoff, shaking his head.
Made for this?
She’s made for dealing with me and my personalities, not some damn acting role.
He watched Lilith intently, his dark eyes flickering with something unreadable.
“And who is this ‘viral actress’ I’m supposed to be competing against?” Lilith asked, unimpressed.
Nina groaned.
“Ugh, that’s the thing I don’t know!
The director is being super secretive, but he’s determined to find her.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
If she shows up for the audition, you’ll have to go against her.” Gray clenched his jaw at that.
“Do you even need this?” he muttered, arms crossed.
“You already have enough on your plate.” Lilith glanced at him, a slow smirk curling her lips.
“Are you jealous?” she teased.
Gray rolled his eyes.
“No.
I just don’t like the idea of you being in a room full of men drooling over you,” he said flatly.
Lilith chuckled.
“Too bad,” she said before turning back to the call.
“Alright, Nina.
I’ll do it.” Nina screamed again.
*** When Lilith cut the call, she sighed and placed her phone aside before turning toward Gray.
“Come on, human doll,” she murmured, slipping an arm around him to help him sit up properly.
His body was still weak, but he let her guide him, leaning into her touch as she helped him adjust against the pillows.
Once he was settled, she sat beside him, crossing her legs, her piercing blue eyes studying his face.
“Alright, now that you’re comfortable, tell me-what’s with that look on your face?” Gray exhaled and gave her a deadpan look.
“Lily, do you really plan to enter the entertainment industry?” Lilith hummed in response, tilting her head slightly.
“It could be fun.” Gray scoffed.
“If you want to act, you don’t need to fight for some small role.
I can invest in any film you want.” His voice was matter-of-fact, his face serious.
But then, as if something occurred to him, his expression darkened.
“Though… if you’re really going to do this, there will be rules.” Lilith arched a brow, biting back a smile.
“Rules?” Gray cleared his throat, sitting up properly, as if ready to dictate a contract.
“First of all, your first movie will have no male lead.” His voice was firm, his face serious.
“Only if it’s me, then that’s fine.” Lilith’s lips twitched, barely holding back a laugh.
“Gray, do you even know how the film industry works?
Male leads exist.” Gray shook his head.
“Not in your movies.
Your genre is action, fantasy, and pure badassery-there’s no need for romance.” His gaze became more intense.
“Unless… I’m the one playing opposite you.” Lilith let out a breathless chuckle.
“Oh, so you plan to be my co-actor now?” Gray didn’t blink.
“We’re DID, Lily.
It’s not impossible.
Any one of us can play the male lead for you.
If not me, then Alexander or Ray.
You won’t need anyone else.” Lilith let out an amused sigh, shaking her head.
“And what are the other rules, director?” She emphasized the last word, teasing him.
Gray’s expression didn’t change.
“No intimate scenes.
Not even a second of hand-holding, let alone kissing!” His jaw clenched, his grip on the blanket tightening slightly.
Lilith arched a brow.
“You do realize romance is a major part of most movies, right?” Gray scoffed.
“Not in your movies.
Your roles should be fierce, dangerous, untouchable.
No hero coming to rescue you, no unnecessary romance ruining your image.
Unless…” He tilted his head slightly, his voice dropping lower.
“It’s with me.” Lilith exhaled through her nose, biting back another smile.
“So, let me get this straight€“no male lead unless it’s you, no romance unless it’s with you, and let me guess… you’ll be personally screening all my costumes too?” Gray didn’t hesitate.
“Obviously.
Directors have questionable taste.
Some of them dress actresses in…
inappropriate things.” His expression hardened.
“You’re not wearing anything revealing.” Lilith snorted.
“Then what?
A nun’s robe?” Gray smirked.
“Sexy, but no.
Something elegant.
A warrior queen.
A goddess.
A woman so powerful and breathtaking that men won’t even dare look at you unless they want their souls crushed.” His dark eyes gleamed.
“That’s the kind of role you should play.
Not some weak heroine waiting for a fool to save her.” Lilith blinked, caught off guard for a second.
“You really thought this through, huh?” Gray leaned forward slightly, his smirk deepening.
“Lily, if you’re entering the entertainment industry, then I have to make sure you don’t accidentally collect more men.
Handling me, Ray, and Alexander is already enough.” His voice dropped lower, husky, teasing.
“Unless you’d rather start calling me ‘director’ instead of ‘human doll’?” Lilith raised a brow.
“I’ll pass.” Gray huffed, clicking his tongue.
“Stubborn as always.” Lilith smirked, brushing her fingers under his chin, tilting his face slightly upward.
“That’s why you like me, isn’t it?” Gray exhaled slowly, his gaze locking onto hers.
“Unfortunately for me, yes.”
