Devilish secretary - Chapter 168
Chapter 168: Chapter 168 Great god of heaven Chapter 168: Chapter 168 Great god of heaven Lilith blinked, her surroundings shifting into a soft, clouded haze.
Everything around her was bright, the kind of white that wasn’t harsh but instead felt… endless.
Then, she heard it.
A familiar voice.
Loud.
Booming.
Absolutely annoying.
“Hey!” Lilith turned and narrowed her eyes.
There he was.
Dressed in a pristine white robe with delicate silver embroidery, his long celestial hair flowing like liquid stardust, the so-called “Great God” of Heaven.
He looked effortlessly divine, glowing like he was Heaven’s favorite child.
Lilith, however, was unimpressed.
“Hey, scammer,” she greeted, crossing her arms, her piercing blue eyes filled with annoyance.
The god gasped dramatically, placing a hand over his chest.
“Scammer?!
How rude!
And here I thought you’d be happy to see me!” Lilith rolled her eyes.
“You tricked me.
Said I’d be reborn as the Queen of Darkness, but now I’m stuck as a weak human Body.” The god burst into laughter, clutching his stomach.
“Ahahahaha!!” Lilith watched with a blank expression as he cackled like a fool.
“I knew you’d be entertaining, but this?!
This is too good!” he wheezed between laughs.
“And what’s even better is that the great Devil Queen-who rejected countless demon lords, turned down powerful rulers, and mocked even the most desirable beings-has fallen in love with a human!
A MORTAL!
Ahahaha!!” His laughter echoed through the clouds.
Lilith’s eyebrow twitched.
“I swear, if you don’t stop laughing, I’m throwing you into the underworld myself.” The god wiped away a nonexistent tear, still grinning.
“Oh, Lilith, you never fail to amuse me.” “Why am I here?” she demanded, crossing her arms.
“I was perfectly fine before I fainted.
Did you drag me here just to make fun of me?” The god smirked, stepping closer, his silver eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Not exactly.” Lilith narrowed her eyes.
“Then?” He sighed dramatically.
“Well, let’s just say… you’ve been overworking yourself.
You’re already pushing the limits of a human body, and if you keep going at this rate, even your devil soul won’t be able to keep up.” Lilith scoffed.
“I don’t need a lecture from you, old god.
Just send me back.” The god tsked.
“You’re no fun, Lilith.” He tilted his head, suddenly looking more serious.
“But since you’re here… let me give you a little warning.” Lilith raised an eyebrow.
“A warning?” The god’s smile faded, his divine presence growing heavier.
“Something is coming, Lilith.
Something even your ‘human doll’ won’t be able to protect you from.” For the first time, a flicker of unease settled in her chest.
“What do you mean?” she asked.
The god only smirked again, stepping back as the clouds around her began to swirl.
“You’ll find out soon enough, Devil Queen.” Lilith gritted her teeth, her sharp blue eyes narrowing as she pointed a finger at the god.
“Hey!
Don’t you dare send me back just yet without answers!
And give me my powers back!” she demanded, frustration clear in her voice.
“I don’t care about whatever is coming, but if anything happens to me or my Human Doll, it’s on you!” The god’s smirk faded slightly, his silver eyes turning serious.
“You can’t have your old power back.” Lilith took a threatening step forward.
“And why not?” The god raised his hands as if surrendering.
“I don’t know!” he said with a sigh.
“Whatever force reincarnated you stripped most of it away.
Even I don’t have the answer.
But believe me, you don’t want to push it.
Just be careful.” Lilith studied his face carefully, analyzing every twitch of his expression.
“What is it?
Did someone from Hell come down to Earth?” The god chuckled, but there was no amusement in his eyes.
“No.” He exhaled deeply, his gaze settling on her with something close to pity.
“Some humans are worse than the monsters of Hell, Lilith.
You should know that by now.
You may think you can handle everything, that you’re powerful… but sometimes, life has a way of surprising you in ways you never expect.” A flicker of cold understanding settled in Lilith’s chest.
“You’re saying I shouldn’t take someone lightly,” she muttered.
“Even if I think I’m powerful.” The god nodded.
“Exactly.
The thing is, you don’t know what’s coming.
But believe me, you’ll want to be prepared.
Your little boyfriend’s accident?
It wasn’t just bad luck.
He was running away from his own shadow.” Lilith frowned and nodded, her mind spinning with possibilities.
“Who?” she pressed.
“Who should I be watching out for?” The god gave her his signature cryptic smirk.
“That’s for you to figure out, Devil Queen.” Her fingers twitched with irritation, but before she could curse him, his tone shifted.
“But you’re not as powerless as you think.” Lilith narrowed her eyes.
“What do you mean?” The god smirked again, looking her up and down.
“You still have power, Lilith.
A different kind.” “Soothing,” Lilith muttered, recalling the strange ability she had, one that could calm and refresh her anytime.
It even worked on other people’s bodies as well.
“Calming power,” the god corrected.
“You can soothe anyone, make them feel warm, safe… yours.” He chuckled.
“It’s an ability most devils would kill for, but it comes naturally to you.” Lilith scoffed.
“Sounds useless.” The god grinned.
“Is it?” His silver eyes gleamed mischievously.
“You’ve already seen the way your human dolls cling to you, haven’t you?” Lilith’s lips parted slightly, but she said nothing.
“And,” the god continued, “you still have fragments of your past life’s power.
But…” His expression turned grave.
“It won’t work well in this world.
The rules are different.
So don’t push it.” Lilith clenched her fists.
“Great.
So I have a half-working power, a looming danger, and no damn answers.” The god chuckled.
“That about sums it up.” She shot him a glare.
“You’re completely useless.” He winked.
“And yet, you’ll want to come back to me in the future, Devil Queen.” Before she could curse him out properly, the world blurred- And she woke up.
And she saw the worried face of her human doll.
His expression, the emotions in his eyes-she knew this face well.
Alexander.
