Devilish secretary - Chapter 18
Chapter 18: Chapter 18 Ruthless plan Chapter 18: Chapter 18 Ruthless plan Meanwhile, Lilith lay back on bed with a smirk, clutching her skeleton buddy while her phone buzzed, picking up the latest recording from Rayan.
She had hacked his phone so that it automatically recorded any conversation he had, sending her each file without him ever realizing.
The voices of Rayan and Lia came through clearly, plotting and scheming.
Their plan was dark, ruthless-exactly the kind of thing that could ruin someone’s life.
But rather than fear, Lilith felt a rush of excitement.
This was the game she loved to play.
She grinned to herself.
Her so-called “fiancé” and “soul sister” thought they were so clever, but they didn’t know she was two steps ahead.
With every conversation he had, she collected more and more evidence against them.
She’d let them think they were in control, only to flip the tables in her own way and time.
“Enjoy your little plans while you can,” she murmured, looking at her skeleton.
“Because I’m just getting started.” The next day, Lilith arrived at the office earlier than usual, lost in thought.
She needed a way to secure a steady income that didn’t demand too much time or investment but would bring in enough for her.
The secretary job was decent, but it wasn’t nearly enough for what she had in mind.
She brewed a fresh pot of coffee and carried it to Sebastian’s office.
The moment She walked in, she could feel his gaze sweeping over her, sizing her up as if studying her every detail.
Usually, she’d flash a clam smile or shoot back a quick remark, but today, her mind was elsewhere, and she didn’t feel like engaging.
Just as she turned to leave, his voice cut through the silence like a blade.
“Wait.” The word was deep, almost chilling, carrying a weight that made her pause mid-step.
“Miss Lilith.” Her name slid off his tongue in a tone that was smooth, husky, and unmistakably authoritative.
It was the kind of voice that demanded attention, wrapping her in a strange pull that she’d never felt before.
She stopped, feeling the unexpected effect of his words.
She’d been around plenty of powerful beings, yet somehow, the intensity in this human doll’s voice stirred something she hadn’t anticipated.
She couldn’t deny the spark of intrigue.
“Yes, sir…” she replied softly, aware of how close he was standing near her, his presence almost overpowering.
She could feel the warmth radiating from him, the subtle, intoxicating scent of his cologne weaving into her senses.
As she turned to face him, she found herself looking up-and for the first time, she felt small.
He was tall, much taller than she’d realized.
Her eyes only reached his chest, where she watched his Adam’s apple move as he swallowed, the motion drawing her gaze in a way she couldn’t control.
Her breath hitched slightly, the space between them almost nonexistent.

His eyes held hers with a dark intensity, as though he was deliberately closing the distance, challenging her to react.
His gaze moved over her slowly, lingering, leaving a trail of awareness in its wake.
He leaned just a fraction closer, and the air between them grew thick, almost electric.
His gaze traveled over her, lingering on her smooth skin, pausing on her soft, pink lips, and then on those striking icy blue eyes, so calm and indifferent.
Something in that unbothered look stirred him-a desire to see that composure melt, to make those indifferent eyes mist over, to see her break just a little.
Slowly, he licked his lips, his eyes lowering, finally landing on her chest, watching her steady breaths rise and fall.
There was something powerful in how unphased she seemed, something that only made him want to push harder, to see if he could ruffle that composed facade of hers.
“Miss Lilith,” he murmured, voice like dark velvet.
He took a step even closer, feeling the small space between them all but disappear.
She held his gaze, unblinking, as if daring him to make the first move, that subtle defiance sparking something dangerous between them.
“Mail me my schedule and find me a non-annoying female partner for the next week event,” he said smoothly, his tone leaving no room for discussion.
Lilith nodded, her expression cool and professional as ever, and turned to walk out.
As she left, Sebastian felt a flash of irritation at himself.
He shouldn’t be looking back, shouldn’t be distracted, but he couldn’t stop his gaze from following her, drawn to the sway of her hips as she walked away.
He clenched his jaw, frustrated that something as simple as her walk could linger in his mind.
Lilith couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was different about “Human Doll” today-he’d been closer, his gaze lingering in ways she wasn’t used to.
But, brushing the thought aside, she refocused, quickly typing up his new schedule and sending it his way.
She had a stack of emails to sort through, plus some files from other departments needing her attention.
Lilith sighed as she scrolled through endless profiles of actresses, trying to find the “non-annoying” one he’d asked for.
Each polished photo and glam shot seemed more dramatic than the last, making her roll her eyes.
Finally settling on a few options, she jotted down their managers’ contact numbers, already feeling the headache brewing.
Calling up managers meant dealing with the inevitable pleasantries, negotiations, and-more than likely-exaggerated promises about how each actress was perfect for the job.
‘Why couldn’t he just pick one himself?’ she muttered, dialing the first number.
“Who is this?” she heard an annoyed male voice on the other end of the line.
“Lilith Parker speaking from Carter Enterprises.
Am I speaking to Nina’s manager?” she asked, trying to keep her tone professional despite the irritation bubbling inside her.
On the other side, the voice transformed, becoming unnaturally sweet.
“Oh, sorry!
I didn’t know you were from Carter Enterprises.
Please, tell us more!” Lilith rolled her eyes at the sudden change in tone, familiar with the game of sweetening the pot once they realized who they were dealing with.
“Yes, I’m contacting you regarding an upcoming event.
Mr.
Sebastian Carter is considering Nina for a special role and would like to discuss availability and terms,” she replied, her voice steady.
“Oh, absolutely, Ms.
Parker!
We’d be thrilled to have Nina represent Mr.
Carter.
She’s admired him for so long, and I’m sure she’d be perfect for this event!” the manager gushed, clearly eager to impress.
